It's amazing to me that this song didn't shout out so loud when it was originally recorded in the mid 80s by Prince's protegée band The Family (yeah I know, who?). It's also strange that he didn't perform and release this corker of a song himself. I mean... he must have known it was a fucking genius song? In 1985 he was in full genius flow. But maybe he'd got so used to writing genius songs he was blasé about it, hehe. Prince fucking rules.
