  • do you have the tiki hut on your online store?

  • How do you tell the gender of a bird? We just bought 2 birds, but we don't know if their girls or boys!

  • THAT BIRD GOING DOWN THE STAIRS LIKE A BOSS

  • im very impresed you take very good care, how did you tame the lovebirds. thanks

  • As a breeder that doesn't just breed lovebirds, also tiels, english and american parakeets. I have seen that if you take them on and let them play on a playgym they won't breed as much/soon. I keep them in the cage 24/7 WHILE they have an nestbox (because if i put a nestbox thats because i want them to breed). If i dont want them to breed i don't put a box in n let them play on a playstand all day.

  • is 23x16 a good size for q budgie?

  • Hi True Love Avairy I have a queston do you clip all your birds ?

  • I'v realy loved how you treat them:)

  • oo i really wish my lovebird would love me more and play , he just sits in his cage and bites his toy, how do you get them to play with YOU more and have fun, i have 1 lovebird and a parakeet both in seperate cages they do not get alonge. help please :|

  • @soulcheap1 A lovebird and a parakeet shoud never get along. A lovebird can kill a parakeet. They are so much more stronger and bolder. Play with his toys and invent games based on what your birdies are doing.

  • i am just curious... please tell me... how much do you think you spent total on the bird room... i mean everything in it... like the toys, birds, and cage?

  • That's a really cool setup and everything, but isn't it kind of crowded? They need room to spread their wings and move...

  • what kinda tree is that

  • super awsome cages

  • Wonderful video. I like the way you look after your birds. I have always imagined my dream home to be like yours.

  • Love those toys! i been wanting to get my 3 lovebird baies some toys like the balls with the little tinker bell inside but just cant find it. and the ball they can destroy while playing. also, did you made the tents? cos i believe i need to put one for mines but they just want to be together all the time and was wondering if 1 tent wont asfixiate the 3 of them together. since I live in the tropic and its pretty hot lately around here :\

  • Are those adult lovebirds???? Can they fly in the sky high like normal birds????

  • doesnt the tweeting get annoying

  • Why you said that BEBE is the original? What that means?

  • Comment removed

  • @121PokemonMaster Too young, don't like the box, not wanting to breed, poor diet, sick, the list can go on and on. You should not be forcing a pair to breed.

  • @stargazrt4 do they poop everywhere?

  • what kind of cages do you use now? what size for one lovebird?

    what brand do you use??

  • wow! you are such an amazing bird lover! keep it up!~

  • i love your videos!! i also watch your husbands and they are amazing!!!!one ?, were did u get that boing in be-be's cage?? about how much to? if it is cheap i can probably use it for my blue parakeet Romeo.

  • @mrssummit49 Thank you so very much! go to trueloveaviarydot com to see and maybe get one!

  • Thank you for showing me all the cool things I can do for my new baby lovebird!!! I have worked in a Pet Shop for 10 years.. and have FINALLY decided to take home a baby lovebird!

  • what size is bebe's cage?? and what size is sierrias and cody's cage?? :)

  • @Pfmw12 We have larger cages now that are 26 inches long by 20 inches wide

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, how does it feel to be so wrong? I would not know. If people can trust their dogs and cats to be out when they are not home, then I can trust my birds. I have been doing that for 20 years, so what's your point? Also with they toys, our birds go through them in a month. So if they were useless, we would never have to replace them.

    ~Rodney

  • Ok you were right and I was wrong! Finally found a vet to see the one I bought and she debunked everything the woman who sold him to me said.

  • @xXManiacalOneXx I am happy that you have found a helpful vet for your wonderful bird.

  • this really cool toys .. (greetings Brazil)

  • Why is your lovebird cage smaller than your budgie cage?shouldnt your love birds have room too...

  • Old video. Get with the program and see some of our updated videos, LOL. Plus our lovies only sleep in their cages and are out even when we are not home.

  • will a lovebird just sleep on a perch like a budgie? or do you have to get a little cosy thing? x :)

    thankyou if you answer :)

  • wow u guys really devote yourself to these wonderful birds and they seem VERY happy lol =]]

  • wow!!! xk nn me la dai 1 gabbia

  • Can make-up hurt cockatiels?like do i need to keep him away from it?

  • Perfume is more dangerous because of the fumes and their sensitive respiratory tract., but keep the make-up away from them also.

  • um..im planning on getting one lovebird (no mates or breeding) But im getting a cage the size of an A3 piece of paper (portrait) that opens up at the top with a perch for trained birds...Is that ok?

  • you know the big cage with the 2 birds in it how much was it cuz im planning on getting 2 love birds plz answer when ur free

  • We have a similar cage on our store website. Let me know if you are interested in the King's version of it. :) Send me an email or PM me (see channel for link to our blog and store site).

  • omg, if i was a lovebird, i would want you to set up my cage. everything looks soooo fun!

  • :) Yea, me too!

  • is there too much stuff in that cage

  • Nope!

  • omg the big cage was the cage i had for my 2 lovebirs and housed 4 bbabie lovebirds that i bred! lol I miss them so mcuh :(

  • ausome cage when i get a lovebird im gona get a cage like urs! THANK YOU!

  • I really want to get a lovebird. I have four cockatiels and a parrotlet, but the two are semi-tame, and the parrotlet is FAR from tame. I have my two 'tiels that "are" tame.

  • HAHA yeah my litle lovebird likes to go outsite and play at trees... hes super tame^^

  • Does he ever use the wheel?

  • Is a 25x13x21 size cage big enough for 2 just weaned lovebirds? Also, can i use dried, sanded hibiscus stems for perches?

  • 24x18x33 is the smallest I would go, but they still need a lot of out time. The perches should be fine.

  • Do you need to get 2 lovebirds so they can have a friend when your not there as much as parakeets?

    -Cheyenne

  • MudskipperLover: If you get 2 lovebirds then they will bond to each other and get annoyed with you. If you want your bird to bond to you, only get one. That is, if you have enough time for it. if you dont then it might be better to get 2.

    Hope that helps.

  • Not true. Those are the comments that are full of stereotypes. If that were true, then explain the bond that we have with our 13 lovebirds.

    ~Rodney

  • hi im getting anoher lovebird and i already have one and the cage i have is most likley too small would the first cage u showed house 2 birds?

  • No, it barely fits one! For 2 birds, go with nothing smaller than 24 wide by 24 long.

  • thank you!

  • for them little tent things did you make them or buy them please respond quickly as im gettin my bird in 3 days

  • I personally will disagree about that sandy perch you mentioned, i had pet bids too, with the perched that had grit on it, barely touched the bird's nails, only their feet ever made contact with it.

  • Then you had the wrong size. You need to go a size up with all birds.

  • i have onelovebird.i have his normal food but i want to give him diifernt food what type of food should i give him ?and how should i train him ?and how you ment to know if there a girl or boy ? write back asap thank you.

  • This is very nice how you have them set up I lke the latter ideal..I have only one love bird right now..how ever I plan to have two soon,, My lovie gets to fly everywhere in the house and has a sleeping station in our bed room..So He plays every where..I want wo to do this do you think it is possable

  • Of course! Also check out BeBe's new set-up in the video responses and our bird room set up.

  • We'll pass. :)

  • Great video! I`m hoping to get a pair in a month or so,so I`m researching as I`m a first timer. Do they tame easily? :)

  • You should get them already tame.

    ~Rodney

  • how do u tell the difference between male and female lovebirds and what age will they be able to mate?

  • Why do you want to know?

  • cuz i have some and i want them to mate but im not sure please tell me thankyou:)

  • What's the purpose of you wanting them to have babies?

  • my uncle and aunt and granpa and grandma want some but they kant affordthem so just PLEASE TELL ME

  • If they can not afford a lovebird then they can not avoid to keep one properly. I'm thinking about the birds.

  • Sorry to ask but i don't understand why you have ladders to the birds climb to the cages. Your birds don't fly?

My bird doesn't like to fly much but i force him so it has strengh in the wings, and because i have i old cat that i really don't trust (regarding is attention for "out of the cage birds") it needs to be ready to fly.

Anyway, when my bird is outside it mainly likes to be on me or on high places.

  • They do fly, but parrots are climbers.

  • mine is so scared of the latter it shakes :<

  • i love this vid it helped me set up my birds' cages...boy those toys can add up! but its worth it to keep them occupied : )

  • How high do you typically put your birds stands?

  • How Much Doo Lovebirds Ussally Goo For?

  • Awesome set up!!!

  • lol WOW it look like way more than that !! and are they nice ? because i am thinking of getting one but my friend is kindda scared it will bite her and it will like bleed :P

  • If you are thinking of getting one what does it matter if your friend is scared? We did not check the "bird radar" on our friends when we got ours.lol.

    ~Rodney

  • how many birds do u have ???

  • Too many sugar kisses! lol! We have 10.

  • they are playful

  • how man birds u got i got alot of animals

  • my lovebirds will drink out of a hamster water bottel

  • hey. i am getting a love bird soon and i already have a cage that is made for birds that is a little bigger then the one in your video. the one thing is that it comes with a level that is made out of the same material as the bottom but it goes along one of the walls and sticks out maybe 3 inches. is that ok to be in a bird cage?

  • Are you sure that this cage isn't made for ferrets or hamsters? I think I know what cage you are talking about, but I am not for sure. To be on the safe side, I would take out the level if possible and place a perch there.

    ~Rodney

  • You must have spent alot of money for all of this. But its still worth it because youre birds are very playful!!!! = )

  • luck how much are those birds cus i want to get one

  • Well, BeBe is worth around $10,000,000 give or take a million or two. lol!

    ~Rodney

  • that is alot of money for 1 burd lol

  • love ur vids, im pretty sure ive seen em all, this is how all birds should be treated : ).

  • Wow! How much was the ladder? The long one... ;o

  • Cheap, $5.

  • How much money did you spend I mean bird cages cost alot. But still you did alot for the lovebirds :P

  • what size cage is suitable for a lovebird

  • 18x18 with a 1/2 inch bar spacing is the absolute smallest, but they really need around 24x24.

    ~Rodney

  • are love birds playe ful

  • Very PLAYFUL!

  • So what's with the hamster wheel? How does he interact with it?

  • He got board with it so we took it out, but he used to spin in it.

    ~Rodney

  • I'm having a hard time visualizing that. Something like hanging from the top and spinning as it goes down??

  • Do your birds poop out of the cage? mine does so I have to put cloth wrap around the bottom edge so poop doesn't go all over my wall, she doesn't really know how to aim well ^_^

  • Sometimes! LOL.

  • U r a graet cage disener

  • hello, in the first cage.. can you suggest a great online website that sell same toys .. especially the swing & the mirror ??

    thanks,

  • i brought 2 lovebird like 8months ago i see them mating like twice a nite but still no eggs. why? i broke the bars and put a wooden box(or nest) but i didnt put anything in there is that ok?

  • Those cages are too small for lovebirds...

  • 18X18 is the absolute minimum for 1 lovebird. That is what they are. For two, 24X24 is the absolute minimum. That is what Dewey and Sierra have. Notice that I said minimum. At our home, our birds have the opportunity to be out of their cages 5-12 hours a day depending on the bird. If we kept them in their cages all the time they would have larger, flight cages, but the larger flight cages are pointless if they have access to over a 1000 square feet.

  • how many years must the lovebirds be to go out of the cage because our lovebirds is 9 months and 19 days old and we have tried to let them out but they only flying around in the house and we must catch them... please send a message..

  • First day they were hatched. Let them fly around, when they are hungry they will go back to their cage if they know where it is. Playgrounds are really great for birds to want to come out of their cages.

  • The parents' birds have alot of eggs but when they hatch they only can take care of about three; if there's more they just start to attack the babies until they bleed.

    What's going on?

  • is it recamended two house two lovebirds or can you only have only one?

  • do differnt bird species have to be in differnt cages? or can they be in the same cage? I want a concure,or a lovebird. And I have two cages, the main cage is big, and the other cage is smaller, not that small, but we just don't want cats eating them because they are outdoors, we bring them in at night though.

But anyhow, can i or not?If not i'm okay. please respond.

  • I would not get a single bird if you are going to keep it outside. Birds are social animals who love to be with their flock. So a single bird outside is cruel. If you do decide to keep birds outside, you will need to construct a flight aviary at least 8 to 20 feet long depending on the species. Conures can be kept together within their genus, but lovebirds need to be separated by their individual species.

    ~Rodney

  • wow these are amazing!!!!

  • You know what i hate?

i hate when people say its cureal for clipping wings??....come on just like clipping are nails as other people refraise "like cutting fins off fish, FISH need that!" bird dont need there flight feathers. sure if they flew they will go into walls!

but i got to say there, NICE job i just dont know what to put in my cage any ideas please? thankyou

  • Thank you for the tips.

I love birds, had a parakeet in high school. Thinking of a lovebird, so cute and loving they are.

    - Bird Lover

  • do they sell any of those toys in the PETCO store

  • really good cages! must be quite expensive.

i cant make my lovebird play with his toy. wat should i do?

  • Hi stargazrt4

Sorry for the negative comments. My daughter is a bit overzealous on the matter of caged animals. Im quackung by the way not her, kids on your PC if you understand. I wouldn't mind but she's fledged the nest a year ago.I have 6 lovebirds myself in an outdoor flight and she harps on to me how cruel I am. Anyway I think your uploads are fantastic and really informative and viewers can see that you are devoted pet owners. Keep the good work up, and no more PC for grumpy.

  • You're unique and absolutely grade A bird owners, :) I admire you for that.

  • Are lovebirds parakeets?? Or are they a different breed?

  • different.

  • parakeets are budgies

  • they are so cool.my lovebirds like playing to

  • i just found out my lovebirds are one year old and i bought them 2 months ago...

no wonder there so scared of me :D

  • i was wondering do they have to have that same size of the cage and alot of toy?

  • hmmmm this could work as a guide for me :D thanks Rodney :)

  • best cage i ever seen.My bird has his own hammok but he just does flips off it.

  • awsome how much where each of them

the love birds im planing to get one but i dont know where or there price if you can help

    me plis

  • WOW !!! I love it. Can you tell me how you were able to tame your lovebirds. I bought mine from a pet store not to long ago.

I love your videos. thanks for sharing

  • We have tamed them. I don't think you understand. BeBe and Evee were raised to be tame by us and had their flight feathers for a really long time. When we moved to our new place, it became dangerous for us to keep them flighted.

  • We even almost lost BeBe one time. He is so friendly and wants to greet everyone. Unfortunately, our front door is in our living room, and he did fly out the door one time. Thankfully I ran after him and called his name and he called back. All he wanted to do was get back to me. He was nervous, but ended back in my arms. I was truly blessed. Since then, for his safety and our sanity, we have kept him clipped, but he can still flutter across the room safely and from cage to cage.

  • i noticed all ur birds are totally free to fly in your house .. are they not scared to people ? how about der dirt?

  • All of them are tame and enjoy their people.

    ~Rodney

  • is it ok do clip your love birds wings and dose it make it more tame?

  • There is no correct answer. We are starting to believe that all birds should keep their wing feathers. It doesn't really make them tame, just easier for people to handle.

    ~Rodney

  • ok thanks i have been watching you vidios on youtube and it has helped me tame my bird alot so a big big thanks

  • this is awesome, love the way you give all the lovebirds such a great home, i got 1 lovebird myself, jerry and he has a big play-corner as well in the living room:D

  • i have a question ... i am planning on getting lovebirds is it better to clip their wings???

  • It depends on the bird and the environment.

  • hi I just started breeding birds about two years ago and I'm confused some people put toys in the cage and some don't. I think its better with toys so they have something to do while they are in the cage. I have lovebirds cockatiels and budgies right now. oh and i got a hybrid lovebird and I don't know what to do with him should I breed him hes in a cage by himself right now. hes a peach faced cross masked lovebird weird looking.

  • Good for you for putting toys in your breeders cages! I have little patience when it comes to breeders who just place their birds in a cage with a perch, food, and a box. Do not breed hybrids or cross the species; it is frowned upon and responsible breeders do not do it because it dilutes the gene pool and may cause the extinction of certain species.

  • But that does not mean that your hybrid should be in solitaire confinement and loved less. Allow him to play with the others in a neutral space such as a playground or tree, or you could get him a buddy of the same sex. Take care and congratulations on a wonderful start.

    ~Rodney

  • There looks like there is too much stuff in there, Could be harmfull to his wings when they flap and stretch out. just my oppinion!

  • Hi! Thank you so much for your comment and concern. The video makes it look a lot more crowded than it really is. All our lovebirds have room to flap and stretch out very easily.

    ~Rodney

  • Hehe, ok! was just wondering ;P now i have awoken my love birds with this video birds chirping lol :(

  • Hey! I might get a lovebird tomorrow (can't wait!) if my dad lets me (fingers crossed!). Haha! :D Anyway, I have a question about their water. Do they need chlorine free water, or is plain tap okay? Thanks for posting all your vid's! Very cute birdies! :D
