The dudes in the band hated it apparently. I've seen Rachel say in interviews that this is the one song he would want to forget about from the bands entire catalog. Don't know why, I always thought it was a cool song.

I've heard in an interview here on youtube they thought it was a too poppy "singalong" kind of song. Maybe they thought it was too much like what lighter "hair" bands played, and thought of themselves as a "heavier" band. I think it's a really good song though.
