Temples! There just stone upon stone and have no meanning to God what so ever when the whole mormon story started as one big Lie...God told us he dose not change! I AM THE SAME, YESTERDAY ,TODAY AND FOREVER...So why would he need Mormans in the latter days??
This is not just a beautiful building. Temples are a blessing in people's lives. They bring so much peace, inspiration, love, light, and remove all confusion, distractions, fears....
The Basic Gospel of Jesus Christ is 1st: Faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that through his atonement you are saved. 2nd Being repentant and realizing that everone sins and heavenly father wants us to ask for forgivness from those sins. 3rd is baptism, the Savior set the example of baptism and we need to be baptized as well. Fourth in recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost to lead us and guide us throug life, through thick and thin. Last enduring to the end, we must remain steadfast in JC & obey him
I really don't see what you are trying to claim, you aren't going ot change my beliefs. I respect yours even though they are different than mine. I don't undermine what Jesus or Heavenly Father have done or are doing, but we have to have faith and stive in our own efforts, we have to gain a testimony that Jesus died for our sins and stive to keep it. I know that He Lives andlove me and knows me by name. I must stive to do the best that I can, serving Him and Him alone, not man and worldy things.
The spirit that is inside the temple is "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." Gal. 5:22 Satan cannot imitate Gods love for us. he can try with other things but that he cannot.
For such false apostles (joseph smith) are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no wonder: for Satan himself transformeth himself into an angel of light." - 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
Galatians 1:6, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
What a shameful waste of money these temples are. And to think that the Mormon church does not have to pay tax on this. The Mormon Church is a living symbol of racism, homophobia, hatred and intolerance. I hope they lose their tax exempt status and are left bankrupt.
There are old churches like that all over Europe. We have a big Church like this in almost every town/city in Holland.

It took the Utah saints fourty years to build this temple. Today's temples only take a few months to a year to build.
