So, apart from reminiscing back years ago for kicks of nostalgia, or having something simple enough to understand when you're completely out of your skull, what exactly does this prolonged drone of a song have to offer?
@genk6 would the jazz harmonics with supertonic minors counter point my foot if I rammed it up your hole? I could do a complex gear clock stylee if it would be more or less anal?
in the old days I used to stagger utterly wasted back to my room after smoking quite a bit of second-rate gear which nevertheless blew my mind and this was my homecoming call on a crappy Matsui turntable and later a good one, a Rega Planar 3, well it still makes me feel blasted

@gen6k "minimalism and drugs are not new" you're damn right but they're no less effective now than they ever were. As for listening to Wagner or Liszt, there is no music that increases neural connections so your point is unfounded at best. "degenerative boring shit" is only a matter of opinion and if that's your opinion why did you bother commenting? Are you trying to save us all? Are you trying to show us a better path? Like Dragonforce or some shit?

@mmbdbph i highly doubt you understand the structure of music. dragonforce is technically fast, but they play speed scales. playing speed scales, or even jazz harmonics is not the same as classical. where things are kept in rigourous scale structure in imaginative ways. it is kind of like if dragonforce would learn supertonic minors then do a counter-point, a second line that is continuous with that melody then a more rhythmic background. some neoclassical is good, but most is senseless
@mmbdbph its called the mozart effect, when you hear what is basically a complex gear clock it activates certain parts of the brain, the frontal cortex ecetera, microphysical activity activates neural patterning. modern music is led by conceptual subletey in the proximity of the voice, and "cult of personality", not notation, composition, and cultural motif mastery. this kind of music damages your emotional centers by excaberating the end social goal superficially, but they are very low level
Can good Spacemen 3 fans help me out with some quest? I've heard on the local rock radio some epic minimalistic song with organ-like music and the dj said it's spacemen 3, so can anyone point me where to look next? It was instrumental only, I don't recall any lyrics (though I'm not 100% sure there weren't any, couldn't hear well because of the noise in the bus). Thank you very much for your time!
@caffeinex3 Walkin with Jesus has epic lyrics though. Even though I think thers a mix out there without vocals but there is a great instumental song called "feel so good", not much organ on it though..
