@killingrang It never was used. It was only on the drawing board and basic models. It was abandoned because it was developed for bombers and people decided they didn't want nuclear bombers. Also it does not make plutonium which was valuable during the nuclear arms race.

Thorium (non fissionable) has to be bombarded with neutrons to convert to Uranium 233 which is fissioanable. India is working on it.
