Agreed, but that was'nt my point. I'm not questioning different drums musical ability, i have a couple of cd's which are very good. my point is, a lambeg drum is played upright with canes to numerous distincive rhythms, move away from this and you might as well play any kind of drum, it no longer has the distinctive sound of a lambeg. You would'nt play a violin with a guitar pic would you?

Its a lambeg drum, please don't dilute it to become something it's not.
