But I dislike that WD-40 i understand why you use it but i dont think its a good thing, my self have been working norwegian forrests during wintertime for years, never required that wd-40 or any other oil other than protecting my blades i use sunflower and olive oil or vaseline ;) im just saying. Hey Nutnfancy...Love your work. I agree with your opinions on these Low Self esteem types most would label as "haters". They are the savage side of society, who only live by praying on others. They never win, they only steal or cheat. They only feel good by trying to tear others down. If they don't have prey, they can not survive. They can not tame the world around them (at least they believe they can't tame it). They only cheat themselves in the end. Such a shame they lack real courage.

You don't suck (in fact I think your project's great) but it shows more character on your part when you don't address the foulness of the critiques openly. I dont understand where people even find the energy to find stuff to hate on. You can laugh at stuff that's lame, but I don't really see the point of being an active and repetitive detractor. If something sucks, no one will watch or care. Dude you think the internet is bad ? Come to the gun store i went to. I walked in an told them im looking at getting into an AR platform because i recently decided to get my Restricted Fire Arms License here in canada. I explained to the guy I've only spent time using my 308 hunting rifle. The guy was that much of an asshole i told him to stop talking to me. The other dude that was there was really helpful.
@Captmorgann yeah I'm in Canada too and I would have jumped at buying an AR if it weren't for the 5 round mag restriction and the fact it is illegal to use the gun except at a shooting range! Either way I hope you have fun with your AR and lets hope our gun laws make more sense in the future.

I like your video's and includes some good information on the varied subjects. I am former Army with 11 years of service (E-7) and find these things useful. It is always nice to get other persons opinions with different experiences. This is what every interested person needs to do. Do the research and learn as much as you can from others. Be an educated and experienced survivalist. I appreciate your effort in bring these things to us!

When I discovered TNP, I was frustrated by all the "how to" bushcrafting videos made by people who had no clue how speak to an audience. I've since found some good ones out there, but there are many more who just can't seem to make the subject matter interesting. Nutn's vids show his enthusiasm and expertise at public speaking. I disagree occasionally, but continue to benefit from what he presents. And it's fun to go along for the ride.
But to each their own, if you wish to dance then by all means dance, i think you will find less you tube arm chair commandos hating on you if you pull back on the ego just a tad, and stop reviewing guns you have never shot, but your vids are full of good info if you can suffer past the 30mins of you hearing yourself talk, keep up the good work.
@M4land2c Can't say that I agree with your logic. There were plenty of guys in the "real jobs" you mentioned that approached Nutn, at the SHOT show, and gave him plenty of cred. I've disagreed with him on many occasions, but never thought he was silly. As for his ego, you need a bit of ego to do what he does. That's why his videos flow so well. So he talks too much for your taste, it's better than the grunts and stammers I hear on other vids.
I think the problem lies in the fact that you pass off information like you have massive LEO and military tactical knowledge when in reality you dont, i know excluding the whole air force thing, the point being people who are in the real jobs you emulate with all your expirence are not making vids, my point being no vids does not mean no credibility, and when people who are in front line jobs see you dancing around in your plateless gear they think of what a silly guy you are,

I always suspected that NF was in the military. Sometimes i worry about watching all these sheepdog videos while i'm in the military myself, but if a LT Col, is making these then i would hope a PFC could watch em'. Nice videos

I already had some of the gear and have gone out and purchased some based on your reviews, only my pockets aren't as deep! No I don't go out as much as I once did, but I just got two new pieces of gear that should let me, 2 shiny new knee replacements. I'm 55 and I've learned a lot from you and others. Most of these people watch videos waiting for you to make a mistake or "slip up" in your wording. Maybe the terminology isn't 100% perfect, but everybody gets what you're saying. That's when the armchair experts and mall ninjas like to strike... The fact is - the people who matter don't mind, and the people who mind don't matter. I wouldn't worry about it.
I don't have a video camera, just digital picks. I enjoy your footage and see the evals in real life. I've taken my training by the secret service for gear/guns and individual training by SF friend of mine and he likes the heavy blades as well.

I think you might be over estimating your "critics." I've seen many references to you on Youtube and elsewhere, and they are easily 100 to 1 positive. As far as I'm concerned, by far the two best firearms related Youtube channels are yours and Hickok45s, and ironically, neither of you claim to be the end all-be all even though you are both clearly VERY knowledgeable and experienced. Just understand the VAST majority of us appreciate the time and energy you put into your videos. Thanks.

I'm trying to build a career as a nature-oriented photoartist (lots of retouching). On Long Island I try to turn tree stumps into mountains and it looks cool but they're not mountains. A close friend has been helping me get up to the Catskills and Adirondacks to broaden my repertoire and I bring your advise with me, strapped to my back: my Kelty Super Tioga that I'm constantly in the process of modifying to carry my photo gear. Even in the lousiest, noisiest, most ungraceful, unwelcome, and pervasive criticisms; there is always [at minimum] a grain of true. I'd like to see you take it in stride and not squelch criticism. You don't suck (in fact I think your project's great) but it shows more character on your part when you don't address the foulness of the critiques openly. Rather, cut the through the crap and take the grains given to you. (Unless they're just cussing you out & that's it, then ignore it altogether)

I dont understand where people even find the energy to find stuff to hate on. You can laugh at stuff that's lame, but I don't really see the point of being an active and repetitive detractor. If something sucks, no one will watch or care. If people are consistently negative, its a sign that you're probably doing something right - at least in the sense that it's upsetting people's preconceived misconceptions.

I walked in an told them im looking at getting into an AR platform because i recently decided to get my Restricted Fire Arms License here in canada. I explained to the guy I've only spent time using my 308 hunting rifle. The guy was that much of an asshole i told him to stop talking to me. The other dude that was there was really helpful.

I like your video's and includes some good information on the varied subjects. I am former Army with 11 years of service (E-7) and find these things useful. It is always nice to get other persons opinions with different experiences. This is what every interested person needs to do. Do the research and learn as much as you can from others. Be an educated and experienced survivalist. I appreciate your effort in bring these things to us!

When I discovered TNP, I was frustrated by all the "how to" bushcrafting videos made by people who had no clue how speak to an audience. I've since found some good ones out there, but there are many more who just can't seem to make the subject matter interesting. Nutn's vids show his enthusiasm and expertise at public speaking. I disagree occasionally, but continue to benefit from what he presents. And it's fun to go along for the ride.

@M4land2c Can't say that I agree with your logic. There were plenty of guys in the "real jobs" you mentioned that approached Nutn, at the SHOT show, and gave him plenty of cred. I've disagreed with him on many occasions, but never thought he was silly. As for his ego, you need a bit of ego to do what he does. That's why his videos flow so well. So he talks too much for your taste, it's better than the grunts and stammers I hear on other vids.

I think you might be over estimating your "critics." I've seen many references to you on Youtube and elsewhere, and they are easily 100 to 1 positive. As far as I'm concerned, by far the two best firearms related Youtube channels are yours and Hickok45s, and ironically, neither of you claim to be the end all-be all even though you are both clearly VERY knowledgeable and experienced. Just understand the VAST majority of us appreciate the time and energy you put into your videos. Thanks.

I think you may feel insecure, insecure that not adapting to public views will lead you to becoming an outsider, so you adapt to what others complain and argue about, but only join the majority.

Hey bud...When you have experience in everything from survival school to teaching boots to working your way up to Lt. Col., you have nothing left to prove to anyone. Don't let them bother you, you and all your positive viewers know better than to put any stock in what some troll says. There's an old rap song (although I'm not much of a rap fan) that basically says if you're real, you know you don't have to flex nuts, because you already know you got 'em.

man i really like the snow/snowfall in the backround you never get that kind of background backhome. I've seen several videos you've done its been top notch and i respect your overall honesty on products esp the mini-(30?) tapco mags.
Though i don't belive you have to have tons of videos to be a good "critic" but it certainly lends tons of credit to them like what you definatly have

I like all your vids because they are very knowledgable and your very fair on all your comparisons with handguns. I dont really have any vids at all but ive been confronting idiots who make stupid ass comments latley because ive been ignoring it for so long i cant take it anymore! sometimes its just hard not to feed in to the bullshit! Anyway thanks for the informative vids. Id love to see a torture test on the SR9 to see what its really made of!

yeah i completely agree with you, you are sharing your experiences with equipment. Trial and effect, and with the results you form an opinion. We as viewers can agree or disagree with your opinion, but the fact is you go physically go out and test the gear. Moreover you make videos to share with the public. Keep makin em Nutn :)

(Part 2) Therefore there is no such thing as a valid judment at all. Therefore I beleive poeple who have so called "valid judgment" is actually a posotive sugjestion. Believing this sugjestion is all encopmasing and just truth is complete ignorance. Because a wise man would realize that most poeple of this world beleive they are allways right and also be enligtened with fact that he himself is not all knowing therfore everymans opinion or suggestion should be taken into deep consideration.

(Part I) This is so true. There is no such thing as a valid judgment, except by one man only but thats a different subject. To truely make a judgment about somthing (re: to poeple criticing your videos) they must truley have worthy knowlage of the topic. Worthy knowlage comes through mass amounts of experience and much intelletual thought and discussion upon the matter. But yet I also beleive no one or many poeple cann have all encompassing knowlage on any matter.

I'm trying to build a career as a nature-oriented photoartist (lots of retouching). On Long Island I try to turn tree stumps into mountains and it looks cool but they're not mountains. A close friend has been helping me get up to the Catskills and Adirondacks to broaden my repertoire and I bring your advise with me, strapped to my back: my Kelty Super Tioga that I'm constantly in the process of modifying to carry my photo gear. My original choice would not have worked as well. Thanks!

It amazes me how some people that don't like the Nutnfancy videos seem to keep coming back and watching them and then commenting on them. hey, I have an idea - don't watch the videos! it's pretty simple, if I don't like something then I don't watch it, buy it and move onto to something else. I may not always agree with Nutnfancy on what he says or reports but 99% of the time I do. I wil continue watching and sharing for many years. Thank you Nutnfancy for your time, knowledge and commitment.

One of the "perks" of YouTube is that for every one person with a clue, there are 300 ignorant people with little to do other than criticize and belittle others. Whatever happened to the good old days of people just not watching things they don't like? Dude we are all entitled to our opinions, yourself included. My opinion is that you probably aren't all that right in the head but HEY, many people feel the same about me. The one thing I will say is DON'T EVER criticize the men and women in uniform who have done the things you talk about and who stood in harms way and DON'T call them "Military Experts" with your air quotes. I've had rds pounded at me and pissed a little bit in my pants. Until you walk a mile in our shoes think before you speak

Eh, Fuck Um' Nutnfancy. Before I go buy ANYTHING I check to see if you have a video on it. You know more about tactical everything than the rest of youtube combined. I have watched almost ALL of your videos and they are all excellent! I have to tell you that I had no clue what a Glock Armorer was before one of your videos. I am now a Glock Armorer and have started a business based around it. You change peoples lives with your videos my friend.

Nutnfancy your videos are great. i watch several of them a day. sometimes i watch a videos more than once. my army gear my travel gear and the way i'm using it are all being effected by nutnfancy videos.
nothing more to say. if those videos don't interest you, go somewhere else.

You need you own TV show..I know I have said it alot..but really, on the outdoors channel, I love that one gun show they have..its only 30 mins or so and on random..but I by far rather watch you channel..
