  • Ummm, why is the theme to Mortal Combat playing???

  • I came here after watching a video "how it's made-lawn ball". That was a first time hearing of this sport and the ball itself seems interesting.

But this video made me laugh out loud because of mortal combat music. And the video doesn't show much how this sport work.

  • Well done video. I used to bowl when I was in my teens (back in the 80's) but have not for over 20 years. I do miss it, and would be interested again, but live over four hours from the nearest green. Very sad to hear that membership is down to under 4k now. A bit of a chicken vs. egg problem...can't get more people without more greens, and can't get more greens without more people.

    Good luck.

  • @mebalcony where did you play? where in the US are you now?

  • @acuralo At the DuPont LBC in Wilmington, DE. I am now living in a small town on the Midcoast of Maine.

  • @mebalcony @mebalcony I play at DuPont every year...shame though, the club has like less then 10 members. I dont see it lasting too much longer. I play in NYC at Central Park.

  • what happens if you hit the white ball?

  • then the object is to get it closer to where ever the white ball stops

  • im 17 and been playing since i was 14

its not a rich posh persons sport

origanaly yes but mostly its a pub people that play an young folk forcing the posh lot out

  • this is a sport?

  • ...............is this some kind of stupid fucking ignorent, rich people activity that they call a "sport" Rich people are dumbasses.Stop being pussies, and play contact sports.

  • only a jerk like u could write bullshit like that.if ur an american which u most likely are to call ur national sport exciting then u dont no shit from clay. im fact lawn bowls is a sport for the working man and woman and very popular amongst the elderly downunder and in the U.K. but has been catching on by younger folk. pity the elderly dont play this sport in the U.S. because there are so many lonely folks with no one to socialise with and no place to go to, to enjoy their retirement yrs.

  • I play bowls couple of nice shots there, for all you bowlers out there if your in scotland and going to northfield this year for the scottish championships i will see you there

  • different but cool

  • theres are game in australia similar to this its called "WATCHING GRASS GROW"

  • LMFAO i prefer watching pain dry, a little bit more action but still the same thrill

  • Didn't know it was that bad over there in the US. Here in Australia its very popular with many clubs.

  • Best of luck with your efforts to revitalize the game in the US. Can't but help in Canada too.

  • A work of true artistry, guaranteed to resurrect Lawn Bowls in the Pantheon of great world sports!
