i just don't get how to play this online, actually now i get it, it used to be usual to play via lan connection not via Internet.

Check out GiantsWD.org for a very much alive Giants community. The 1.5 BETA patch is also found there and allows you to join game servers without having to use programs like Gamespy Arcade.

In Lan games back in the day, I remember having this one bug that was a real game killer. All of the sudden, after about 20 minutes, all of the smarties would freeze in place and be unable to perform any action. At that point, the game was pretty much over, as we couldn't build anything or get replacement smarties. It happened almost every game.

Your log on surprise is a regular glitch. Copter blowed up cause a enemy sniper or your own man. Sniper hit you. Delphi used sniper bow, a different bow or a spell.

U have to download GameSpy Arcade There u can find at least 2 server or u can start a new one(Free) U can play every kind of Multyplayer map and game type

Yeah your ping was probably just way too high, I used to get this all the time.

It's such an awesome game, had so much potential, but it was just too buggy. I still loved playing it.

If this game was totally overhauled it would be amazing, no need to worry about the Single player, just the multiplayer.
