I have a crossbite in 2 teeth I have to wear this thing for 20 months and I have to turn rhe screw every week , and top top that off after the 20 months of this , I have to get braces !

i had this but with a bar of metal that came down from infront of my top teeth to the bottem !?!? ! it was huge ! i got called goal post and boys used to lob footballs at my head and shout SCORE !! ....... but now i dazzle them with my super nice teeth ;) hehe !

Ok I have an anterior crossbite of one tooth, and my orthodontist gave me a bite plane that doesn't have the front part... so far I hate it because I have a lisp and I keep drooling.

@123gwinnett you might get a hebst appliance like me but you will probably have to wear elastics on braces. dont worry about your deep bite i have deep bite the same as yours REALLY deep :( dont worry your orthodontist will fix it :)

My friend had one of those and they tightened it like 4 times in one visit. She said it hurt like hell right when they tightened it.

I make these. They are made of acrylic plastic. It takes months (or years if older) to move the teeth. If you have had braces you will know how long it takes and what it feels like. You only turn the screw once every few weeks.

i have this gap in my two front teeth people tell me that i should just get a retainer. do you think that is goin to help my teeth or should i just get the braces? im sorry if it doesnt make sence. my english aint that good i guess

I'm not a dentist so I can't say. Every mouth is different. You should talk to an orthodontist.

no...if u have a space it's a GOOD thing it means ur teeth will grow straight to fill up the space

same here so i went to my ortho and he recommended invisalign now i'm just waiting to get them... just go see your ortho and everything will be clear, i personnaly recomend invisalign tho

Ugh, I had something similar to this in that it was supposed to widen my jaw. Did the job, but I turned that screw every second night. IT. HURT.

I had them for several months, but I was young then. I am thankful though, if not for that appliance, I would have needed teeth pulled later on.
