This is the same pitch the original was written in, but it sounds perfectly American. The 'Middle-Eastern' sound may be due to the fact that it doesn't follow every vocal beat or note, since it's violins and stuff, unlike the human voice which can produce notes between notes (confusing but true).

Sounds American...I am not sure. I mean, most of the bands today have taken influences from the Beatles so I could sound British actually. And USA is basically "european" country. But then again, Linkin Park has truly unique sound in their songs.
