  • Thanks for posting.

  • great video!!! thanks for sharing!!

  • Love the way he loads against his right leg - PERFECT PIVOT - secret to the power in golf swing.

  • One other thing no one ever picks up on is how quick Hogan let his head move on the downswing and not keep it down. I think Larry Mize must have looked at Hogan a few times . If you watch Mize on the pratice ground you will see a lot of Hogan in that swing.

  • You got it, Larry Mize is a Hogan aficionado.

  • Thank you for that i never knew good luck.

  • @arianbatty

Hogan said before, (loosely translated), that he doesn't see the ball at impact. I cringe when I hear people say to others, "keep your head down".

  • Helen Forrest sang the song

  • Hi "1ton" ...Such a privilege to see your excellent "Slo-Mo Catalog" of Mr. Hogan. It's "so good" I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. ...It would be very hard to find a better live demo what how a "One Piece Swing" repeats!. ..."Thanks so much" for the posting. ...DrDom

  • Man, he had a sweet swing!!!

  • Hogan is overswinging a bit - but actually its because of the clubs that were used then, they needed to be swung a bit over the parallell to get the max out of the steel shafts

  • "El mejor de todos los tiempos". The best ever. Thank you for posting this wonderful and inspiring images.

  • At 2:31 you can see how much he has pre-engaged or pre-set his pivot point which is the heel of his right foot. Thanks sevam1 for this important insight.

  • indeed, this has helped me tremendously. All things Hogan were to complicated for me but as explained by Sevam1 my sometimes slight over the top move has been eliminated when I started to focus on this aspect of the right foot.

  • One thing I never noticed about Ben's swing: he slides his back foot towards the target almost at impact. I always thought he had a wide stance and wondered how he got to a relaxed finish with his weight forward, which is difficult with a wide stance. Now I know. His stance width changes during the swing making it easier.

  • Hogan has an aggressive pivot motion through impact which he carries into his finish, which makes his right foot slide.

  • Amazing! To come back after breaking his legs and hit a ball like that? Man his back swing is unreal!

  • Poetry in motion

  • Faldo-"How do you win the US Open?"

    Hogan(w/o blinking)-"Shoot the lowest score"

    True Story from Faldo himself.

    Simple right?

  • Just shows what a bell Faldo is really.

  • Yeah. Faldo was only #1 in the world. What are you #1 at?

  • Beautiful composure. Golf's very own Fred Astaire.

  • I agree! In 1953 Hogan played in only 6 events and won five, three of them majors.

  • 1:14

  • Great compilation and musical score.

  • Can you tell who sings this?

  • The name of the song is called "Deep Purple," by Artie Shaw. I don't know who sings it though, maybe it's Emma.
