  • dud u made my day

  • What is this like in comparison to Amstrad's PC/Mega Drive hybrid?

  • @LarryBundyJr Similar, the Amstrad has a better system for switching between systems, in that you can use the Mega Drive side without it resetting the PC side, it is also considered to be of higher build quality. The Mega PC does not have the ability to connect to a TV though (A converter could theoretically be used). They both have their own pro's and con's. Both systems require a dual-sync monitor for the VGA port to be used effectively.

  • LOL WHAT CAUSED YOUR BSOD?

  • EDO ram was designed to work with the Pentium (also found on some of the later 486's) and came on 72pin simm modules, I'm pretty sure you'd probably be using 30 pin simms in that thing. It certainly wouldn't be EDO ram anyway.

Nice vids , just make sure you learn your memory types!

  • @rovercrew Oops... Didn't realise I said EDO, because I knew it was 30-Pin SIMM, especially given that I had already looked inside the machine. I dunno why, I always forget about that stuff and end up calling it EDO. Believe me, I know my memory, a lot of the kit I have uses DIP RAM.

  • How'd you make the smoke? :D You can't tell me you set the damn thing on fire, on that coolio case. I don't care about what's inside, it could be an old pentium into a new case.

  • @MarcoZ1ITA1 I use the smoke pellets that the Gas Technician's use to test the air flow inside chimneys.

  • @HighTreason610 Pretty awesome effect. I suspected it was some kind of smoke machine but it looked too dense.

  • I wish I had one...

Recently I assembled old Pentium !!! PC from junk I found in my apartment, connected it to TV using S-Video, and connected Sega Genesis pad via LPT, so I can use it to play games like on real Megadrive in those days... But it's not the exactly same thing...

I also used to have real Megadrive board, but I accidenly fried it while attaching power supply :(

  • This thing is so neat, I want one! Actually I want to make one from soemthing else, embved my own Genesis console into it and call it a TeraDrive, but have a Pentium III in it or something. Nice!

  • Where did you get that 16 bit remix of grabbag from

  • @Dakkiller1 I rendered the MIDI through a DX-100 and a soundfont.

Sorry I took so long to reply.

  • I'm sure you can't output the Sega Genesis picture through the RGB port, since that one usually only supports 16 simoultaneous colours AFAIK.

  • Great vid

  • awesome. wish MS made a way to play Xbox360 games on a pc

(dont reply with EMULATOR cuz thats not the same)

  • @nelizmastr

They're actually releasing a PC that has an Xbox 360 in it (essentially). It works as a normal PC and has the ability to run 360 games. I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head. I know that's not the best way to do it, but they may be moving in that direction it seems.
