  • I got here from Ramstein WTF????/ I love hard rock etc.

I have heard of Susan Boyle mostly ppl slaggin her off never listened before now - But by F@#K this woman can sing - AWESOME

    Many thumbs up

  • Simplemente la amooo

  • Es una gran persona, un ejemplo de que el libro se lee por lo de adentro no por la portada.. es magnifica!!

  • Susan > Adele

  • The first time i ever heard this song was on Donnie Darko and hearing this version over Adam Lamberts....i must choose Susan, she puts a certain mood to the song that just fits.

  • Beautiful voice, lovely song, wonderful Susan!!!

  • Susan: When you first open your mouth. The world going speeches and judges too! You're GLOBAL MAGA STAR! Thank you for your LOVELY VOICE !

  • it doesn't sound like a human is singing this at all... it sounds like an angel is singing it

  • Wow!!!!The lyrics + voice = heaven for me...LOL. You really one of a kind Susan.,,

  • I think im in love

  • By god her voice is stunning.

  • May i be the kind of person that never 'looks through you'

  • this is really the BEST VERSION that i've ever heared!!! SUSAN YOU REALLY ARE AMAZING!!!

  • JEBUS, this version is shockingly good! I mean, I was half expecting an overdone opera version of Gary Jule's brilliant cover, half expecting a vocal buttfuck of Scottish proportions. But instead, it seems I got the best version yet.

    Funny...

  • I love this song, always have, always will. Susan Boyle's version is beautiful.

  • If you dont like this version then please keep your comment to yourself, and keep the nasty comments of my video. Thank you! This now belongs to Susan and nobody else.

  • Hauntingly beautiful

  • 29 Dislikes? Hmm..Really Is A Mad World.

  • Nice version. Just love her voice.

  • Suzie cue !! ... er, cue Suzie ... very sweetly done. Thanks, Ms Boyle.

  • What a lovely relaxing version of this song,I could listen to her singing all day, well done Susan,I love it!!

  • @Gnottason Susan Boyle doesn't allow millions of children across the 'holy' planet to starve to death

  • I just love this version of this song, well done Susan!!

  • I usually don't like covers of this song as much as the original. The cover versions always slow down the pace and add violin or something. They try too hard, as though they are trying to force the song to be depressing.

Let the lyrics speak for themselves.

  • yes im a 16 year old and i love this song and her new album dont know why but i do.

i normally listen to grim and rap but i really like this :)

  • what happened to her gray hair

  • susan boyle stinks

  • Gary Jules version was by far better, however that is not to say that Susan Boyle did a bad job she has an amazing voice it just isn't the best for this song.

  • Hands down-the BEST cover of this song and her best performance yet. She`s AMAZYING. We should all learn something from her story: Judging by the "cover" makes you miss on so much real beauty in the world...I`m happy she`s discovered. No. 1 FAN...:)

  • This is So amazing Love this Version like this if u think that am right??!! Love her so much.xxx

  • amazing voice !

  • amazing

  • Oh wow, I love this song but I had been looking through all the different covers of it to find a version I REALLY love because I don't care for Gary Jules', and here it is! This completely blows me away.

  • Amazing performace! This and Gary Jules's cover are my favorite versions of this song. However, no cover can top the original. Tears for Fears rocks!

  • She is such a beautiful singer... And now I love this song even more -3

  • Wonderful cover I did not know it before ....but love it ..

Love all the tracks on the new CD ......all have feelings and meaning ....xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I think the original and both covers are amazing :D because everybody has their own style and brings something unique into this wonderful song <3

  • Her voice belies her age. Just lovely

  • today i heard this song on BBC1 and i was like who is this chick? i didnt believe my eyes when i saw how she looks..i dont mean it in a bad way.. it is great thing to hear something this great from ordynary person and not from those whores on mtf

  • Congratulations to Susan for achieving her 3rd No1 Album in UK. Richly deserved!

  • I have always loved this song... and she really sings it very well... lovely...

  • Congratulations Susan!! Another #1 debut in the UK. I'm so happy for you.

  • Congratulations to Susan for achieving 3rd No1 Album in the UK. Richly deserved!

  • @MrJokerface80 i am behaving. and if you dont give a shit about my channel. why the fuck are you still here then ?

  • @BattleKatTroIIKiIler douchbag

  • The musical arrangers behind her music are in my view the genius of Susan Boyle - the combination of the arrangements of songs like Wild Horses and Unchained Melody (I couldn't bear that song before!) with her pure voice are incredible.

  • this is really good. Her voice is amazing.

  • @MrJokerface80 then if you rather listen to his version, why in the hell are you still here talking shit! ?get out of my video and stop criticizing !

  • @WesleyCorrea100 Do you know that you can remove the comments that you don't like and BLOCK the people who post crazy, disgusting comments?

Opinions are one thing, but obvious trolls should be blocked.

  • @GirlFromPhily Thank you! and yes i know !

  • I want to cover this cover! :D where is the instrumental?

  • This is the best version of this song! a very beautiful and tranquil recording, she has a voice to die for, well done Susan, you are one amazing Lady xxx

  • This cover, obviously is amazing!, because susan boyle sings it. Adam lambert doesnt have her voice and nobody else would ever have it. Susan is just an angel!

  • @Jackie1957able If you find Susan Boyle sooooo overrated....What the f@#$% are you doing trolling on every single Susan Boyle youtube video?.....Did you just stop taking your pills?

  • Comment removed

  • @Jackie1957able Too many brown hatters on here!!

  • @marguer1 |Or maybe it's people with better taste.lol

  • @Jackie1957able Or maybe it's too many brown hatters with a hearing defect, like your good self for example, lol!!

  • @marguer1 Brown hatters with deaf aids !! sounds like a good name for Boyles geriatric fans,

  • @Jackie1957able Oh, Jackie you are stupid! Do you not have the capacity to realise that ,with luck, you will be old one day yourself. It's not all bad, as you will then have the sagacity to appreciate a great singer like Susan Boyle. Only the young and very stupid could consider ,for one minute ,the 'garbage ' repetitive music you youngsters are surrounded with is of any consequence at all. Now you calm down, take care, and have a good day! I'm just off on a four mile jog. Coffin dodging see!

  • @dossery100 What a patronising comment. to assume tall youg people have bad taste.Because I don't like middle orf the road music E.G .Boyle.

Singers like Callas, and Domingo I appreciate much better , also Adele and Elkie Brooks.. So your pompous comment is unjustified. Boyle bores me. O.K.

  • @Jackie1957able I'm tall as well 6ft2"

  • wonderful voice.

  • Love this, can't get enough. My favorite song on the album!

  • I didn't like it, such as flat, unemotional...

  • I love Susan... her story is touching and I couldn't be happier for the success that she has achieved; but her live performances still exude nerves and pitch problems. She has reached a point in her career where she should be able to sing with more confidence. There IS a lovely voice there, but I would like to hear it in its full glory at least once in a live performance. If she could channel her nerves into a Maria Callas-esque attitude, she'd be a powerhouse.

  • @ryan33bttm please remember that Susan has learning disability-suffered from brain damage at birth. She has done her best already.

  • @candicehello I'm sorry but I can't agree that she has, "done her best already." Can you honestly tell me that you find most of her live performances of songs that require range and power to be relaxing or even pleasant? I love Susan, but when I see good (and often great) singers get bypassed on America’s Got Talent, it’s hard for me to regard her singing as being of a superior standard by comparison.

  • @ryan33bttm There is something in what you say. However, I would beg you to watch her perform 'O holy night' on the Allan Titchmarsh show. This was a perfect performance, in my view. Perhaps her stance, stillness, has got to change. She did well moving around in her duet with Elaine Paige. Give her the mic, let her move. and sing say New York, New York! Somehow ,I think she'll be fine. Whatever ,I love her anyway!

  • @dossery100 Yes, the Page and Titchmarsh performances were very good - probably her best live singing to date. This is not directed toward you, but people tend to be far to reactionary to even the slightest criticism of Susan Boyle's singing. As I have said previously, I love Susan. I am positive that she would welcome any tactful comments (positive or otherwise) on her performances. I am a trained opera singer, and I had to learn early on to take criticism!

  • @ryan33bttm Thank you for your measured response. Yes you are correct - Susan's fans, me included ,can be very defensive, at times too defensive. I think this is because she engenders such passions on either side. This I welcome -as any married person knows - it's indifference thats the KILLER. Kindest Regards!

  • i LOVE susan's rendition of this!!! so beautiful and mellow :)

  • Voice of the century!!!! xxxx thanks again Susan

  • The original Tears for Fears version is the absolute BEST.

  • susan made a little lyrics change at the end ! when she said " MAD GIRL " i laughed so hard " honestly " LOL

  • i put the song on repeat mode !! ;D i cant fed up of this song !! bravoo susan ..

  • SUPERB! this one is excelent!

  • Donnie Darko ftw

  • I luv it!

  • @MrJokerface80 hehehe, your crazy for thinking that.. adam lambert doesnt have the angelic voice that susan has.. and nobody can compare this to any other recording artist because nobody and i mean nobody has or will ever have the same voice as our own Susan Boyle.

  • @WesleyCorrea100 maybe u right ! just point of view ;D adam lamdert relived the song on american idol and now susan did the same ..and yes susan sang it better than adam ..and both still Good !!

  • @MrJokerface80 Looks like no one thumbed up your comment xD

  • @SkitzoGurl101 LoOooOL !! its kinda sad !! "

  • @MrJokerface80 Its Kinda funny , but i find it kind of sad.

  • @MrJokerface80 lol dislike

  • Wow I thought I had heard them all, but this by far the best version of this I have heard yet. Susan's voice is amazing.

  • This makes me fucking weep :(

  • love it best version

  • Its pretty and all, its just that you can't top Gary Jules.

  • Brava! Wonderful performance.

  • just beautiful...but its susan boyle...wouldnt have expected anything less. love u susan.

  • It's a good version, certainly better than T4F, but not better than Gary Jules. You really _SHOULD_ only listen to the MALE version of this song... rofl. Whoever said that you _SHOULD_ do something? Listen to whichever rendition makes you tingle.

  • Thumbs up if you think this cover is even better than the original.

  • @ronkogoogle Who sing original song???

  • Comment removed

  • @Medeni994 Tears for fears.

  • @ronkogoogle actually i have to say that originally i thought gary jules sang this song originally so i have to correct myself about that. and after hearing tears for fears version, i still think susan's version is better :-)

  • @ronkogoogle The Tears for Fears version? They're two different genres really, hard to compare.

  • This was a supprise Christmas No 1 for Gary Jules, and was an equaly haunting - slow version of the original. This is not too bad but again fails to show Susan's voice in it's full glory.

  • She's a cutie. What a great song- especially the bit - 'went to school and I was very nervous, no one knew me' etc - she was terribly bullied at school.

  • Love her to bits :)

  • Ugh! Tears For Fears did the original song! And it was fantastic! Now, so WHAT?!!! Susan did beautiful justice to it with her cover!

  • What an incredibly beautiful rendition of this song! Susan Boyle has an angelic voice!

  • Comment removed

  • Still better than my cover, lol.

Ive loved this womans voice since I saw her on BGT.

    /watch?v=ctlxe1o01gk

  • Id say she is pretty damn BRAVE at 50. Lets see some of you 50 yr olds get up and do this -facing the WORLD at a puny 5 foot 2.One thing I will continue to emphasize PLEASE is that there is no "contest" here.Susan has offered & delivered something that neither T4F, Gary Jules , Adam or any other MALE could : a FEMALE rendition . Find a big name FEMALE artist whom coverd this to compare it to please. Now we have been given a CHOICE instead of being told we should ONLY listen to the male versions

  • @bunchezofblessings If I had the money I would hire Alison Moyet. No one is telling us what to listen to, the choice to switch off is always there. Admitedly Susan has done pretty damned well for herself but needs to find More original material because competition is fierce out there.

  • Great interpretation by a woman. So sweet, insouciant, and melancholy.

  • Unfortunate that her dear mom didn't see her do this! She followed her dream & became a spokesperson for all those who've been bullied!

Ms Boyle keep doing what you were ment to do!If I ever get a chance to see her concert I will make it a point to get myself a ticket!I would love to hear her show!

  • i like it

  • I love both Adam's and Susan's voices. Her version is quiet and haunting but Adam's version has that tinge of paranoia, especially when he gives "nervous" a twist. Just the way he sings that word gives his version the edge,

  • Good cover, but does not compare to the version by Michael Andrews.

  • Awesome cover. But not as good as the original /:

  • All I know is that I know talent when I see or hear it. THis woman is just beautiful. It is unfortunate that people have to go the route of "so and so did it much better" blah blah blah. If a song is timeless, it has a life forever and can have many incarnations. I am a fan of all music, all types. This woman continues to share with us her beautiful rendering of some classic songs. I don't care if she does covers forever. God bless her, and a big thanks to God for giving her that voice.

  • Honestly, to any Lambert fan who comes on here bashing Susan, go fuck yourselves. Im not even a Susan Boyle fan, but some of you guys are just idiots. It's not even Adam Lamberts song. This song was created way before Adam even came around, and the original was better then Adams anyway.

  • She is a Scotch Kate Smith--brilliant!

  • she should make some original songs instead singings cover all the time. It's her third album and still only covers, and the rendition of mad worlds is extremely predictable, boring and just nothing to talk about.

  • @nooneveryimportant

Wrong. On her new album, the song "Return" is a original song. Besides, so-called "covers" have been the standard for pop singers for decades. Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Streisand and other stars sang mostly "covers."

  • @nooneveryimportant First album. Who I was born to be, Original, Last album, Return and This will be the year both originals. The thing is that she makes covers her own. Some people just have to find something to criticize, even if they have to make up things, Sure keeps them from enjoying anything, If they don't enjoy Susan, they could listen to someone they do enjoy instead of wasting their time criticizing what they don't .

  • From this day on Subo owns this song.!!

  • I love the comments that reference this as an Adam Lambert song. "Some Adam Lambert's fans dont like this version of 'His' song..." Not only is it not his song (Yeah Tears for Fears), but now that I've heard Susan's version, Adam's version isn't even in the Top 2 !!

  • While I do like the original, and even the other remake, her's is definitely beautiful. Let's not bash her, she has a beautiful voice and heart and it projects in this song

  • She has done justice to Tears for Fear's song. Beautiful and haunting voice.

  • I sooo love her voice :-)

  • your all giving her a lot of props. NICE!

  • i am a big Joni Mitchell fan. Once long ago "both Sides Now" was over recorded.

But to think that a whole new generation can discover her. And I do believe

susan will do the song justice. can't help but root for her. why such a novelty to be plain and possess an beautiful instrument. i hope she can deal with all the press

and over attention on her looks. She's beautiful!

  • it is unfair to group this with novelty joke pat boone singing deep purple.

This is what a true singer does. it's a new spin but does justice. Even the depeche

mode cover is good. I'm not a fan but nice to see her looking for songs that don't

get covered. good for her and the artists who wrote the songs.

  • Beautiful absolutely beautiful.

  • I'm a HUGE Tears For Fears fan and I love the original but this is a new twist that I actually like very much. Wow what a clear beautiful voice. I love it. I've been a fan of Susan's from the beginning, I think I'll buy this album.

  • very nice cover

  • Tears for Fears and Susan Boyle, two of my fave artists in one song. You cannot go wrong.

  • Wow, this is beautiful

  • @snowspeeder2005 Nope, the song Hurt was NIN first, it was written by Trent Reznor...

  • I can't stop listening to this song! I would NEVER have guessed it was SB, I thought it was some young pop singer. LOVE IT, Susan!!!

  • This is a pleasant version, although my favorite still is Adam Lambert's studio version.

  • oh and watch donnie darko amazing

  • damn, her voice sounds so young and sexy

  • beautiful

  • I always think of Donnie Darko when I hear this song.

  • Love Miss Boyle!

  • Now I get this song . . .now I love Susan Boyle! Beautiful.

  • she sounds like a school girl with c.p.

  • Such a pure heart..and her pureness comes right through her voice...absolutely beautiful...

  • Susan Boyle is very talented, but if you listen carefully, the music sounds like Johnny Cash's cover of 'Hurt'.

  • @Gunman610 your right

  • @Gunman610 Johnny Cash didn't do a cover of the song "Hurt". He wrote it. Nine inch nails did the cover.

  • @snowspeeder2005 It's a good theory, just the opposite of true.

  • @snowspeeder2005

"Hurt" is by Nine Inch Nails and Johnny Cash covered it.

  • Understandable...some like to use their own imagination when they listen to music, while others like the visual imagery. I would guess this song has meaning to Susan with regard to her own life experiences. Therefore, the photos in a sense may provide a visual aid to those experiences. With or without photos - it's beautifully sung wouldn't you say?

  • Great cover but I think the random photos of Susan Boyle ruin the song's effect. I had to listen to it with youtube minimized.

  • Beautiful...loved the original version, but Susan gives it much more meaning. I didn't realize the deep message in the lyrics until I listened to Susan singing it. It brings tears, touches the heart, & connects to the soul. Thank you Susan.

  • she has an angelic voice.

  • Wow. This has to be my favorite version of this song --by far. She really deconstructed this song and made it her own.

  • Can't wait to buy this CD!

  • Truly a class act~~

  • Absolutely gorgeous. I don't know anything about her personal life except about taking care of her mother, but, she sings it with true emotion.

  • yay!!!! i just love her!!!!!

  • For the sake of placing calming images in my head. I wish she was as young as she sounds. I picture someone like Jewel, when I hear this beautiful rendition, Then I realize, "Wow"...it's just grandma.

  • who came here from Yahoo?

  • Oh how so great this song is.!! I just love this gal!!

  • I prefer Michael Andrews cover from the Donnie Darko Soundtrack
