Manila skyline is adjudged as one of the best in the world. At the last count, Metro Manila is number 13 I think for cities around the world with the best skylines. :)
Ayala ang may ari ng Bonifacio Global City, pro Project ito ni Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga. Nagtutulungan sila para mapaunlad ang Taguig. proud to be Taguigueño.
BGC is nice but when you go to the Taguig City proper, it's a whole lot different story, the streets are narrow and the houses are all bunched up together.
I agree with you. That is so true and unfortunate. The people there some of the most kind and unselfish, that I have ever met. Even though many are struggling, they would give you the food off their plate, so a stranger can eat. God bless them!
Just type here in YOUTUBE, "real philippines poor homes"
I dont consider na maging kumukha ang Pilipinas sa Japan or Singapore. Atleast Singapore ay maliit na country, but well-developed ang kanilang country through honest na Capitalism. If I would consider Japan, well ayaw ko rin. Much of there income went to the government!
PEACE ^^V

I discovered last week that the whole Bonifacio City is a private owned city. WTF? Who owned the Bonifacio? The Ayala? Cojuanco? The owner must have been super rich
To think that the Marcos administration planned the C1 - C6 now in the Fort. I just hoped they provide enough open space unlike the Makati Com distr. or it could have stayed as a big park. It was so nice when it was just a military fort. So quiet and cool. I hope nobody got money on the conversion of some military bases.

I love all these videos as I can send them to the international community including Australia, Germany, UK and US to show that the Philippines no longer needs any foreign aid. Congratulations as I know that this is how the middle class lives in the Philippines and I know that the U.S. is looking to cut spending however possible. Good luck on the Olympics 2024! Cheers!
This is a brilliant video, like all of the other videos that show how the regular middle class in the Philippines now lives. While U.S. citizens are fooled by believing there is a rice shortage that is just Philippine propaganda. It is time for the U.S. U.K. Germany and Australia to stop sending any type of financial aid as the media does not respect Americans, and it seems that as ABS-CBN states that Philippine banks are in excellent shape.

GOOD WORK GUYS!! Don't worry in terms of development hindi tayo nahuhuli. Let's just help philippines in anyway we can. Looks beautiful. I'll make a presentation of this and send it to Filipino executives as a support for Philippine Sky line projects same time potential customers nyo. Keep on building! MABUHAY KAYONG LAHAT!!
maganda naman ang pilipinas eh. kung kakayanin natin, kaya natin. these slow but gradual developments are really helpful to redesign our cities. with these projects along with pagcor city, we are slowly making a move to make the philippines globally competitive. let's all be open to change, be hopeful and not be discouraged.
During the Quirino Government, there was a Multi-awarded Filipino Engineer who designed the huge streets in Quezon City like the East ave, West Ave etc..
We need to restore and conserve our heritage. Imagine how much tourist we can draw kung mapaganda natin ang Maynila ulit. Like Ivan Hinares said "... Would you go to China to visit an SM mall for example? I'd go there to visit the Forbidden City or the Great Wall of China!.."
It's a place to start. Guess which part of the Philippines is most known by the world? Yeah you guessed right, the capital. In your words parang divided na divided ang ating bayan naman.. =(
Jopringjopring, your tunnel vision is giving you a lot of problems. How long did you stay in the Philippines before you decided to bail out? The main reason why the country is in its sorry state right now is because it is very much divided like you said. Even here in America the Filipinos are always having conflicts with each other because of this problem.
I'm assuming your from Manila that's why you're excited about this video. Do you own a unit in one of those buildings? Must be rich...
These high rise building does not benefit most Filipinos, its just another way for foreigners to capitalize and share profit with our corrupt government. If we want to be modern lets get rid of the slums in Manila, build a recycling plant and put people to work, build public park for everyone, build modern housing project for the poor, road, improve our education, specially protect our rainforest, coral reef, and preserve our culture, cuz this is what foreigners come to see. not buildings.
You're partially right. But giving Manila and the rest of the cities in the Philippines a modern look attracts tourism. And when there's tourism, there's income for the Philippines. Having modern buildings also changes the way people think of a city especially now that Filipinos lack the love for country. So building modern buildings is alright.
hell yeah! keep on rising philippines! show the world what you are made of! I'm Filipino American, kamusta ka na kaibigan?? (did that make sense? im learning tagalog =) mabuhay Pilipinas!
ayyyy ang ganda!!! beautiful talaga!~ im glad PI is shaping up and doing its best to be a beautiful country i cant waite to see the improvements!~! FIGHTING!~~ GO PHILIPPINES!
the philippines is a great country with great people.alam ko kasi pilipino ako. but somepeople in the philippines are jackasses im not saying all, eg: yung ma nga mmda madami don manga gago
They are built to earthquake standards. If they weren't, I wouldn't have bought a condo there. China, however, did not even have rebars in their buildings. You can't compare apples with oranges.
the guy is right about earthquakes...im sure the buildings have been built to withstand earthquakes, but there is no guarantee they wont collapse.
whether you build them tall or short, they would collapse anyway though. Plus, the buildings in china were in an undeveloped region. Global city's buildings im sure are of better quality.
Just hope that these buildings can withstand any tremors.
if you are for money dont include all the people around you :). the developers and corporations do not care? will they not be liable if things on this buildings went wrong? will they dont lose lots of money if these buildings collapse? wow. common sense my friend
wreckso what you are saying is not positive but discouragement.i think its better if you make your mind broader. you expect philippines to make our buildings too low? even non-earthquake zone can have an earthquake right?? the house you are living now can collapse even wherever you are.even on the safest place on earth if its Gods will. understand what i mean to say???
Me warning people of earthquake danger is not positive? Trying to save lives is not positive? What planet are you from? Babyface give ur head a shake, or is there not much in there to shake. The developers and big corporations do not care about your safety. They will cut corners around building codes and use lower grade steel and cement mixture just to make more money. And that my friend is the bottom line. Money.
@wreckso just want to say condos in the philippines are not low cost housing. just look at the construction sites. you will see all the reinforcement a high rise condo needs. Filipinos, believe it or not spends, 5M to 12M pesos on a 50sqm unit. so the developers dont need to build unstable buildings to earn big
I know 2 couples, both filipino, now living in SF Bay area, one is Gay couple and one is straight couple, who are buying a retirement condo at the Ikon in Bonifacio City to spend half the year in the Phillipines and half in the USA. Must be desireable location in the PI.
Great, keep building high rises on an earthquake zone. You would have to pay me a lot of money to live in one of your high rise condos. just my opinion.
Taiwan is also in the earthquake zone and yet they managed to build Taipei 101 - 2nd Tallest building in the world. Although, I prefer house than condo myself but if you have a job in the city having a condo close to work is a real plus.
I am saying something positive and that is to enlighten people to the fact that they are living in an earthquake zone. Its positive in a way that I could be possibly saving lives by educating people about the danger. It is not a question of if but when. Just look at the situation in china. You should lighten up and say intelligent words or you just come across as an unintelligent buffoon.
im brazilian living in japan and my dream is live in philippines...great culture.good food.ans warm and nice ppl...

maganda naman ang pilipinas eh. kung kakayanin natin, kaya natin. these slow but gradual developments are really helpful to redesign our cities. with these projects along with pagcor city, we are slowly making a move to make the philippines globally competitive. let's all be open to change, be hopeful and not be discouraged.

FVR is the brainchild of the Fort Global City.

jopringjopring 3 years ago

MrHeavy2000 3 years ago
You're partially right. But giving Manila and the rest of the cities in the Philippines a modern look attracts tourism. And when there's tourism, there's income for the Philippines. Having modern buildings also changes the way people think of a city especially now that Filipinos lack the love for country. So building modern buildings is alright.

i agree with you 99%.

They are built to earthquake standards. If they weren't, I wouldn't have bought a condo there. China, however, did not even have rebars in their buildings. You can't compare apples with oranges.
fluffyhoundog 3 years ago
the guy is right about earthquakes...im sure the buildings have been built to withstand earthquakes, but there is no guarantee they wont collapse.
whether you build them tall or short, they would collapse anyway though. Plus, the buildings in china were in an undeveloped region. Global city's buildings im sure are of better quality.
Just hope that these buildings can withstand any tremors.

if you are for money dont include all the people around you :). the developers and corporations do not care? will they not be liable if things on this buildings went wrong? will they dont lose lots of money if these buildings collapse? wow. common sense my friend
babyfaceassassin21 3 years ago
wreckso what you are saying is not positive but discouragement.i think its better if you make your mind broader. you expect philippines to make our buildings too low? even non-earthquake zone can have an earthquake right?? the house you are living now can collapse even wherever you are.even on the safest place on earth if its Gods will. understand what i mean to say???
babyfaceassassin21 3 years ago
Me warning people of earthquake danger is not positive? Trying to save lives is not positive? What planet are you from? Babyface give ur head a shake, or is there not much in there to shake. The developers and big corporations do not care about your safety. They will cut corners around building codes and use lower grade steel and cement mixture just to make more money. And that my friend is the bottom line. Money.
wreckso 3 years ago
@wreckso just want to say condos in the philippines are not low cost housing. just look at the construction sites. you will see all the reinforcement a high rise condo needs. Filipinos, believe it or not spends, 5M to 12M pesos on a 50sqm unit. so the developers dont need to build unstable buildings to earn big
MIKELJM01 1 year ago
I know 2 couples, both filipino, now living in SF Bay area, one is Gay couple and one is straight couple, who are buying a retirement condo at the Ikon in Bonifacio City to spend half the year in the Phillipines and half in the USA. Must be desireable location in the PI.

Great, keep building high rises on an earthquake zone. You would have to pay me a lot of money to live in one of your high rise condos. just my opinion.
wreckso 3 years ago
Taiwan is also in the earthquake zone and yet they managed to build Taipei 101 - 2nd Tallest building in the world. Although, I prefer house than condo myself but if you have a job in the city having a condo close to work is a real plus.
MrHeavy2000 3 years ago
fuck you..if you don't have anything positive to say juzt shut ur fucking mouth?
atut17 3 years ago
I am saying something positive and that is to enlighten people to the fact that they are living in an earthquake zone. Its positive in a way that I could be possibly saving lives by educating people about the danger. It is not a question of if but when. Just look at the situation in china. You should lighten up and say intelligent words or you just come across as an unintelligent buffoon.
