  • wow.... i like the coloring of Brolga.... wait i was confused about Thowra and the other palomino was one Boon Boon and the little one Thowra or the other way around? Also was the chestnut stallion Thowra's father?

  • *Sigh* It's so hard to get hold of the books now. Can somebody please give me a list of all the books in the right order? PLEASE!!!

  • @Shardspirit Hi I know this is a late reply to your question. I have only just found this video. The books in order are: The Silver Brumby, Silver Brumby's Daughter, Silver Brumbies Of The South, Silver Brumby KIngdom & Silver Brumby Whirlwind.

My mom gave me Silver Brumby Kingdom for my 10th birthday, after reading that one I was obsessed and sought out the other books. I still have them somewhere....

  • @parmavioletsyum Thanks! :)

  • i LOVE the silver brumby!!! its so good!

  • wow i cant believe i havent seen this! i reas ALL the silver brumby books love it!!

  • is their a way i can watch it online, for free, no download? the full movie?

  • lolololol i'm gonna buy the movie coz i've read the book twice THATS how much i loved it and it looks almost the same as in the book bit weird seeing it with real horses good vid too

  • I really like the the silver brumby movie and books, and as much as i love Thowra himself, i think the grey horse they used as Brolga for the movie, is a much nicer type of horse than the one that played Thowra...

  • Where's Boon Boon? She should've been seen in Brolga's herd.

  • that brown horse is storm =3

  • where is storm? :(

  • aww id like to watch the whole movie. its cute ;D haha

  • The movie should be available through any reputable Australian DVD dealer. Try the books though. There's a whole series of them and they're so beautifully written.

  • No offence but Brolga should learn to control his temper. By the way, does anyone know where I can see this whole movie? It sounds like an awesome story!

  • i only saw the sereis when i was little ive never seen the film

  • can u please please put the whole movie on youtube! i live in america so i cant find it anywere!

  • @horsecrazygal please please answer!! were can i watch the movie?

  • @horsecrazygal Where can I get this movie!!!! :o

  • So does Thowra die?

(oops i put the "r" in the wrong place in my name!!:P)

  • Well thats the big question isn't it? lol Lhenny4 is right, he never wanted to be caught he wanted to be wild and free, so he jumped off a cliff in the final scene of the movie- he would rather die than be caught by man. But did he die? SOme say he's a ghost or a phantom and that he still roams the countryside. Thats why in the movie the mother says if you listen to the wind you can here him. Thowra is the son of the wind

  • @horsecrazygal you should read the book he dosn't actually die when he jumps

  • @horsecrazey900 I have read the book :)

I just can't remember when I wrote that comment about him living or dying, but I was just sort of quoting from the movie, I said but did he die?

  • @horsecrazygal In the book he doesn't die. In the movie it's left up in the air.

  • @horsecrazey900 what happens to him after he jumps

  • @horsecrazey900 yeah its conpocing in the movie but in words its easier to understand he does not die

  • @horsecrazygal Really he dies? *Sniff* That's sad!

  • In the book Thowra doesn't die. Bel Bel his mother showed him the cliff and taught him how to jump down onto the narrow ledge hidden below. He knows the men will never stop as long as they think he is alive so at the end when they are chasing him he leads them to the cliff and does the same trick. He hides out of sight so when the men look over the cliff they can't see him and think he has fallen to his death. The movie made it more dramatic (as movies tend to do!), I still enjoyed it though

  • @TheyNamedHimThrowa y

ou should read the book he dosn't actually die when he jumps

  • @TheyNamedHimThrowa no he doesn't

  • @TheyNamedHim Thowra doesn't die in the movies and book i think

  • @TheyNamedHimThrowa no he dont

  • no he didn't really die! He was to proud to catch! Then he jump down at the end...

but he is a ghost (spirit)... but nobody knows where he is and who he really is....

sry... but my english isn't really good!!

  • does the palomino die at the end ?

  • god i didn't know they made a film of the silver brumby...thought they stoped at those cartoony things. how'd it fare compared to the book any good?

  • It's from a movie, The Silver Stallion, I have it. The real life one, not animation of coarse.

  • how is the film like??

talk the horses aro domething ore is it a documtairy?

  • It's not a documentary. It's a story. Just a movie I guess.

  • Wow! The Brolga is Awsome in this!

  • Y was the grey horse going after the Palomino horses?

  • Because this is like a re make of the animated TV show so you would have to watch that to understand... BarnBum111

  • oh i think i remember this film, it was on tv ages-that feels like a life time ago, i think it was quite good

  • is that a movie what you can sell i want have im!!

  • cool!! XD Cute budgie!! haha LOL!

  • so this movie is called "The silver brumby?" or the silver..or golden stallion?

  • I want to see this movie BAD!

  • whats the name of the chestnut?

  • yarraman

  • oh my gosh, browlga is soo gorgeos!!!

  • They say the Brolga is ugly because of the way he fights, possibly even his attitude. I agree with jadeleelee on the fact that the same color horses are hard to find. They have at least one stand in that looks very similar to the "original" horse. Take Hidalgo for instance, they had like 4 other "Hidalgos" to do certian stunts and things.

  • Why does she say the Brolga's ugly?

Hes such a gourgeous horse in this one! XD

    They're all gourgeous!

  • they are beautiful horses

  • I can't help admitting the Brolga is a very handsome, beautiful horse, not ugly, and a very good Dancer, but I still love Thowra. And it really ruins the Spirit of things when you point things out like, it was a palomino mare... DUH! WE KNOW. You really don't have to point it out and ruin it! Just enjoy the movie, I think they did a wonderful job!

  • Go yarraman!!

  • Actually, I meant while at the premiere with a whole lot of other pony club kids, we noticed that in some shots (of the whole movie), it was a palomino mare not a "creamy" stallion. Palominos were not that well known in Australia when the books were first authored. However, the odd "creamy" has been cropping up in brumby folklore for some time. I first heard about them from my Grandfather (an old bushman and horseman)

  • "Silver Stallion" is he? The makers of the movie should've known better than to make a movie about a silver stallion using a palomino MARE (in some shots) knowing pony club children in their thousands around the world would be watching it. I'll take The Brolga anyday.

  • oh shut up do you think one silver colored stallion is strong enough to do full movie maybe they couldn't find another one like him that colour is hard to find idiot

  • wow i want the brulga!! lol and he looks very fast to me.....

  • whu doest luv it
