@will3kgt Ya, I though I had it down, but I've nosed in a few times. The secret is to make sure there is a good head wind. Plus the thrust vectoring mod really help keep control at low speeds. Depron or $store foam board works great for repairs. This planes has been upgraded to a 70mm EDF now. Sounds great. Good luck!
@B4its2L8guy I always throw into the wind. The torque from this motor makes it nose down and it's very hard to get used too. I don't have this issue with my other planes & this was not that much of an issue when I flew this jet last year. I'll take it out tommorow with better results hopefully. Thanks for the advice.
Yeah!! straif'in the corn fields. That plane looks so good in the air. I can't believe you have been flying only 7months. I didn't try an EDF till a year or so after starting the hobby. OK, you are a good candidate for a being a great helicopter pilot....or maybe you are flying them already?
How do you have your trim set on the elevator. I went to fly mine and it went out of my hand right into the ground and broke into pieces. Thanks nice vid
I have about 2mm of up trim. Launch is still tricky as you can see from the video. Launch at 1/2 - 3/4 throttle and throw almost straight out in front of you, not up or it will stall and crash. This jet has a lot of down thrust so be careful when going full throttle at low speeds, and never full at launch. Hope that helps. Sorry about the crash, I've had 1 rebuild on my nose so far on this jet from a bad hand launch.
I noticed you were pretty darn quick on the stick after the hand launch. Super Job, you da pilot !
I'm pretty much addicted to making Hobbycity my first stop every day just to see what the new unbelievable deal is. They sure make this sport much more enjoyable. I would like to see them get some bigger copters. I've pretty much got my sights set on getting a Gaui Hurricane 550 :)
Your plane really rocks... I just got in to copters with a T-Rex 450SE V2 and am loving it and now your giving me inspiration to try a fixed wing aircraft.
I actually started off rotary wing (Blade 400) about 11 months ago and have moved on to fixed wing for about the last 9 months. I love them both. I do love this plane. Low fast passes are great..and its only stock. Can't beat the Hobbycity price and customer service as well. I am now exclusively a Hobbycity customer. Just got the HK450 to replace the Blade 400. I would not recommend this as a first fixed wing though. Hand launch is tricky and you really have to be a head of this guy.
Having trouble hand launching mine. After a good flight, went into the ground on 2nd hand launch.

Is it correct that you use a dx6i with an ar6100 receiver?
I want to buy a 6100 rx, but I am not sure if its binding.
Nice flight, nice plane!

I had no troubles binding with the DX6i . I have 3 other AR6100s and they all work great! Thanks for the comment!
