I went to many Reveen shows where Reveen is a hypnotist.He hypnotize not only the ones who came up on stage but he also hypnotize some of the people watching the show. I never in my life laughed so hard at what he did to those people who chosed to be turn into idiots.

Trust me, there is no need for "plants." If you think so, go to a show yourself sometime and talk to everyone afterwards who was on stage, and you'll be convinced.

Think of it as surrendering control when you know the environment's safe. You'll let someone else drive your car that you trust, and when you do, they're in control, but you wouldn't give your keys to someone if you didn't feel right about it.

This is to alexduvall,how can you be a stage hypnotist? Do you think it funny to humuliate people and to be able to control them to do anything you want which they would not do in a normal situation just for fun? I think it's degrading and disgusting.And surely having some knowledge of hypnotism you know that by picking the most susceptable ones they're normally the ones with the most issues.Without knowing their past it is dangerous to perform hypnotism on them and can permanantly scar them.

i think its hilarious actually, and the sort of hypnotism you use in like theraputic sessions for people with emotional issues is different from comedy hypnosis because its not digging within the hypnotized person but only controlling their mind to the point of physical manipulation, its not scarring. ur just trying to rain on ppls parade. >:P

technically, if they come on stage, than they want to be hypnotized, fully accepting anything the guy tells them to do.

either way, i am a very proud guy and i would hate to be emarrased, so if I was a stage hypnotist i would probably make my first suggestion

Actually you can. Hypnosis is just many things all put into one label. It's amazing how suggestable we really are without knowing it. Depending on the depth of the trance and skkill of the hypnotist, some people can literally be made to do anything.

I have a limited knowledge of anaesthetic and the such, but yes, you're right that is a completely different thing. I doubt that you consciously willed that you wouldn't be affected as that would be nonsensical, as then you would feel pain. I think it's more than likely it was a medical error.

But what you said about not being hypnotised against your will is a commonly held misconception. It's something which hypnotherapists introduced so that their patients would feel more comfortable and less fearful and therefore more seusceptible to suggestion.

the stage hypnotism stuff is fake. basically the host sifts out the volunteers who are not submissive enough, and is left with a small group of people who would pretty much do whatever he says for the show. It's on wikipedia.

No trust me its not. first of all because he doesnt sift out volunteers: he asks anyone who wants to be hypnotized to come up on stage. this means that he couldnt just single out the volunteers, and usually everyone gets hypnotized.

and 2 its scientifically proven. (but mostly the first one ;)

For instance, one of the things he did was try to convince us that he was invisible. I could still definitely see him. It was still funny though, and I'm not really sure why. I never just did something if it didn't really work on me. And yeah, he'd periodically "put us under" from time to time.

Whether or not hypnotism is real, I have really really terrible stage fright so I simply would not have been doing that under normal circumstances. Especially in the other video - I absolutely HATE being the center of attention. I don't think the point is to prove whether or not it's real - either way, it's entertaining.

It is difficult to explain in a short comment box on youtube. It works on the principle that if I say, "Don't think of a pink bird" you just thought of one. The government has done alot of study into the use of hypnotism and it is used everyday on TV and in movies.

subtly sneaking in information doesn't seem like hynotism, and it isn't real in the sense that you can get someone to do anything you want, they WANT to do it, and on things on stage like this they just go along. Like the way the people reacted on stage wasn't realistic at all to if they had REALLy been in that situation. They just go along because its fun.

Unfortunately, it is not that simple. The point is confused here as I am not saying that mind control is possible. But that certainly does not mean hypnotism is not real. The person must want to do what it is you "hypnotize" them to do. The question is, did they want to do it before the session began?
