If Silva is at 100%, there isn't a single person that is going to "stand up" with him. I am a huge fan of Raymond Daniels being a tournament fighter myself, that said, Silva would murder him and that would be the end of it.

Silva is as far beyond Daniels as Daniels is beyond the clowns he has to fight. if no more so.

@AL3T0 I'm not agree with you. In k-1 nobody uses semicontact style to fight. The reason is obviously: k-1 is more close to a real fight respect semicontact. His kicks and punches are fast but singles tecnique without consecutive. Finally he is a jumping monkey: he is instable and his tecnique can't be powerful without the foundation of the ground.

The techniques allowed (leg kicks, knee strikes, and clinching for 1 knee) are similar to K-1, but the fighting styles of a lot of the guys look semi-contact.

There's no denying that all of these guys would be murdered in K-1. The huge difference in style must be due to american kickboxing rules influence.

Further, EXPERIENCE was an obvious factor, if someone with a "horrible record" was able to defeat him. Switch venues, and I'm sure Daniels would have beaten Metcalf, just as decisively. you don't have to become a Daniels fan, but he is good at what he does. There's no harm in admitting that.

Again, "real" in ANY ring setting, is defined by landing a technique, on purpose, against a resisting opponent. In Daniels' venues, his fights are as "real" as an MMA contest, at least until, they allow things like small joint manipulations, biting, eye gouges, rabbit punches, etc., in the octagon. The fact that you dislike Daniels other fights doesn't mean that he has no skill, or that he couldn't defend himself against the vast majority of stand up opponents. It just means that he lost at MMA

Yeah I really want to see Daniels back in MMA. MMA needs exciting strikers like that. If he develops a good ground game and takedown defense he could be a force.
