Not so many years ago, many families had 15 to 20 children. I don't agree with her, but I don't think that the media should emphasize this situation. I always wanted to have children--but after my brother had an autistic child with bipolar disorder--it runs in my family--I too am bipolar--I decided the risk was too great and I wasn't going to gamble with a child's life-- what if I had another breakdown and couldn't emotionally or financially care for my child? It seemed incredibly selfish to take a huge risk simply to satisfy my need to parent my own child. I got a dog instead and help take care of my nephews and friends' children.

For a master's someone has to agree to mentor&sign documents saying that your research is a benefit to the field.There isn't going to be anyone who will take her on because she is so irresponsible; even her kids say in a video. I always wanted to have children--but after my brother had an autistic child with bipolar disorder--it runs in my family--I too am bipolar--I decided the risk was too great and I wasn't going to gamble with a child's life-- what if I had another breakdown and couldn't emotionally or financially care for my child? It seemed incredibly selfish to take a huge risk simply to satisfy my need to parent my own child. I got a dog instead and help take care of my nephews and friends' children.

With a masters in counseling I don't see the income for 14 kids. Thinking of giving money, goods and services: DON'T support this prostitution of motherhood.

MOMOF3and 3: you are so correct. She didn't get love when she was little and her answer is to have 14 kids to get that love? Kids demand way more than they give. The definition of a mother is to care for your children. It's not giving birth to satisfy your neediness for attention. How dare she saddle these kids with the job of making HER feel loved. This sickens me!
