my dog does the same thing he is a field lab so he is a little taller then the show lab and so when i give him a bath it is more like were both getting a bath but my yellow lab just stands their and enjoys the water

i have a terrier boxer mix awesome dog. but this dog thinks she runs the house(yes a girl boxer terrier). she doesnt respect my athoritity over her either. she nips but she so strong its like a bite. any ideas on disipline? shes 4 months old and knows i cant stay mad at her its funny.

@mrkennedy007 every time she nips say ah and put her in a crate/room for 2 minutes then bring her out and you need tot ake control so that way when she s alot older it will be easer

if you where giving my dog a bath you would get pwned.when i give my dog a bath i have to go in the bath with her and close the screen so she wont jump out. and if you hold the hose and your spraying her you would get your hand bit off she still my best friend tho.

Did you use dog shampoo or just spray your puppy with water?

@1983Dave1983 I used a dog shampoo that was all organic made with oatmeal and stuff like that and I put some of the shampoo in a container and watered it down before using it on him. Just don't get soap anywhere you wouldn't want it :)

@BullyBombs, he seems to love it! Good thing about labs is they love water, so showering them will never be a problem. How old was he here and how about now? We're getting our 8 week old black lab pup today :-)

@1983Dave1983 That was his first bath/shower as far as I know, I don't know if the breeder bathed him, but more than likely. Anyways he is just over 8 weeks in this video and now he is around 2 and a half years old! I love him tons, make sure you enjoy them as a puppy as much as possible because they get big fast! Teach it and train it well and it will be your friend for life. Enjoy your new pup

So cute, I have 2 labrador puppies and I got them when they were 9 weeks old. One of them dunks their face in the water bowl too for some reason. o.o

my lab does that! except he LOVES the sea, so if we throw a stone, he swims to the bottom to find it, and all u can see is his tail wagging!! he's a gorgeous puppy, btw

it won't hurt him. We have a dog who bites the water from the hose and loves to have her face squirt with water. She hasn't had any problems.

Yeah, Bully now sometimes dunks his nose in his giant water bowl is he thinks he sees something on the bottom of the bowl. LoL it's like he's bobbing for apples and he gets water everywhere!!! LoL I deleted that know it all "Groomer"'s comment. My dog loves the water and besides, a groomer is certainly no vet.
