By the way sak0815, Traxmaniak has uploaded all 5 volumes of Trance Remember. There are quite a few good tunes on those. Not the best, but well worth listening to. I heard one trance tune That I had never heard before, Ace Da Brain ( Magic Waters ), & I have been listening to all forms of Electronic music since the 70s, starting with Jeanne Michel Jarre. Its got a good beat & rythym with a catchy tune, or melody. I liked it anyway.
Its at 24 to 31 minutes on the 3rd volume. Older Trance Rocks.

@sak0815 These are probably the guys that think Armin Van Buuren is the only and best trance producer & dj there is. These are the guys that listen to any of the bland Progressive House sound that's thrown about today, but they'll take it in and think it's the best ever. 98-03 period of trance is & always will be my favourite period of trance. Fair enough 02-03 it was starting to go commercial but there was still very good tunes around at that time by the likes of Push, Matt Darey e.g

Remember labeling electronic dance music other than "electronic dance music" is tough. I think people who appreciate this type of music can agree that this is trance. Now if you want to wear your thick glasses and quaffed mustache and call it Epic Trance, Progessive Trance, et al then you might want to step back and realize you come off as a hipster douche.

@ts25679 Hey, very well put! I am a music teacher and feel it is most important to always find the connection that a person has to their taste in music in order to understand them as a whole. Trance along with techno is some of my favorite music especially the form that a good dj can mix it into. Not to mention the various stimulating sounds that transform one mood into another. @pook2830 False. This IS indeed Photon Project. DJ Mangoo's "Before The Start" is a ripoff. I'm not even sure that he knows about that tune. Maybe someone thought it was DJ Mangoo's and posted it at his but it's definitely NOT. The first time i heard "Enlightenment" was in 2000; which year did "Before The Start" come out if it ever did?

Kamil Esten - Fields of Love (Original Mix) is a good contender for best.
Remember labeling electronic dance music other than "electronic dance music" is tough. I think people who appreciate this type of music can agree that this is trance. Now if you want to wear your thick glasses and quaffed mustache and call it Epic Trance, Progessive Trance, et al then you might want to step back and realize you come off as a hipster douche.
Great tune, but please try to find a cleaner version.

How can anyone rate Chicane - Saltwater over such an amazing track like this just for the fact that it's more well known?? It's pure paradise this music, truly beautiful. While this track isn't bad, it doesn't do too much for me. One of my suggestions for most beautiful trance song ever would have to be Pure Dreams by Simon O'Shine & Sergey Nevone. Give it a listen sometime and see if you like it. :)
