  • Cool song.

  • This was the first BoC tune I heard. It completely amazed me, and in many ways still does. For some reason this version cuts out nearly half the track.

  • amazing, you do this song credit. i wish this was a higher definition but we cant have everything

  • @IckleBowzy an better sound quality. its pretty poor when compaired with the original track

  • @IckleBowzy dont get me wrong though, this is truly awesome

  • dope music!

  • I WANT TO BELIEVE

  • ufo of u

  • I love this song. One of my favorite BoC songs, by far. Those drums and those loops go together so well.

  • Really, Really Great video. This was always my favourite BoC track and your video nailed it! Thank you!

  • is this what happens just before you die?

  • Anyone else HEAR purple with this song?

  • @cuallito I hear shades of green sprinkled on top of a dark purple background.

  • wat

  • memories that arent instantly recallable like a birthday or a death , but all the memories that lay between clearer memories like looking into the sun, and are cast into your subconcious to make you who you are.

  • @mappo2345 2 people understood

  • sounds like an old amusement park at the beginning. :) kinda makes me think of kids riding on the horses on the merry go round. lol.

  • i think i draw better when i listen to B.O.C.

  • This song reminds me of the things I used to be afraid of when I was little. Everything was so mysterious back then..

  • Comment removed

  • @MisterBankz

Things are still mysterious, we just have to look harder. There is a whole universe to explore.

  • Great interpretation... Koyaanisqatsi matches perfectly

  • If you like Boards of Canada, Helios, Hammock, Eluvium, Goldmund, Sigur Ros, The Album Leaf, and similar artists, you may like my stuff. I'd love some support! :)

  • This is possibly the best song BoC ever made. I think it's just perfect!

  • @ReeceHughesRocks no the video is perfect, i meant the audio quality

  • This is a perfect video, it would be better if it had a better quality version on though

  • @kw1ksh0t what like image quality? noway the oldness totally makes it perfect

  • somwhoe BoC's music makes me think a lot...

  • some frames are from Jesus Camp, terribly awesome shockumentary on religious camps specialized on doctrination of kids.

  • This song relaxes me to a new extent.

  • This song is extremely beautiful. Enough said. BoC have the fantastic ability to make you feel as though you are floating in heaven on a sweet, summers day. They can help you regress to a time of innocence and love. Childhood.

  • Such a sick world we live in. At the same time it's a beautiful place that we take for granted. If Boards Of Canada was on the radio we'd probably have alot less fighting and negativity in life.

  • @QuantumBasis

That's retarded. There would be no effect in fighting or negativity.

  • @Onepretentiousdude Because of people like you.

  • @QuantumBasis

Don't you think that if what you said was true, a psychologist or social scientist would've taken notice and Boards of Canada would be playing all over the country? Think your statements through.

  • @Onepretentiousdude Yes cause that's what sells on the radio....... think YOUR thoughts through.

  • @QuantumBasis

If it would act as an anti-depressant then it would be sure to make a lot of money. There would be lots of people listening to music on their way to work to make them more happy. Let's face it, you tried to say something totally unqualified and without evidence (Prove that it makes people less negative) and I called you out on your bullshit. Go home, kid.

  • @Onepretentiousdude

You are hereby declared a full fledged retard. He made one simple comment, and you jump all over him about it. All he's saying is that this music tends to put many people in a good mood(you're obviously not one of those people), I don't think he really believes that BOC could save the world or something. Stop trying to draw people into stupid debates just because you have nothing better to do. You know damn well what he meant. Go home, kid

  • @jbmp1390 Glad some people understand me. Your cool dude. As for this kid.....

  • @QuantumBasis

No problem man. That fool was just arguing for the sake of arguing. Don't worry though, he will reap what he sows. It's really is to talk shit on the internet but not in reality. Eventually he's going to piss off the wrong person with his pretentious bullshit.

  • @QuantumBasis im sorry, i think that too somewhat. but im sure there are ppl who think "im sure oif thet played justin beiber a little more on the radio ppl will stop fighitng and listen" or "Mabey if they played party rock/lmfao for the 1000001th time ppl will stop killing eachother and jut have some fun"

  • Nobody really knows what death is, theres so much we dont know about the human mind that we can only really guess what death is.

  • the short version is coool :]

  • I like both maybe the longer version a tiny bit better.

  • if the world ended today and 500 yrs from now new life found this video i wonder what the would think, probably that they missed out on a hell of a good life we used to live

  • wow

  • this is a really sweet vid but whys it shorten the song from the album version?

  • This is one of the most haunting songs I've ever heard, if not the most haunting. It's like a nightmare, but worse, because you know this is real.

  • Deja Vu

  • the first shot looks like 1 beacon street in boston

  • Spectacular video, one of the best ive seen so far on here. Our world is a strange place, capable of so much beauty, yet so much fear.

  • ok. this is going to sound nerdy but has anyone played zelda ocarina of time? this sounds like the forest place, where they have the little tune. its weird.

  • Comment removed

  • this video + mushrooms = scary

  • yea right? : D

  • @ori89 this video made me cry when i was tripping, i got really emotional and when it showed that person with tears that's when i lost it lol

  • Great video.

  • Breathtaking video - amazingly well put together!

  • Best part of this is I hadn't heard this song before but the first time I heard it I knew it was BOC. One of the best sounds out there

  • great tune & great video!

  • It's a Festivus Miracle!

  • weird 0_o

  • your mom isnt original anymore

  • I am sure alot of the footage is taken from many sources. Criticizing it for this fact is like condemning Boards for the samples they use. The point is how they are used, and the new context and meaning they take.

  • Holy Shit,,OK Iv seen this video like years ago, and Iv known about it for a very long time, Well I recently came across a film called 'Jesus Camp' and many scenes from this video are from that goddamn movie!!!!

  • vittu mä oon yös

  • hä?

  • amazing work, i dont know what it is about boc that allows them to encompass decades so nicely into a melancholic sweetness, but OH (sighing)

  • such an appropriate title

  • this is not the full song...

  • b.o.c. are too good to be true!

  • You got it, man. Well done.

  • this is great blazing music

  • for real, i listen to this everyday so baked haha

  • geogaddi back to front + weed 'n acid = great times

  • oh hells yes!

  • i was started to think new music was all trash and started to rebel against it, Butt one day i heard Boards of cnada and they reminded me that there is actually amazing music out there. KEEP JAMMIN' BOARDS OF CANADA!

  • sundowner, thats a strip club in niagara falls, canada

  • Great vision man.

  • very odd sample at the beginning, from george romero's "season of the witch"

  • don't like the video. but this song is beautiful. it's amazing what you can do with a few recorders, whistles and a tape recorder.

  • I absolutely love the industrial/steampunk sound, especially in the intro.

  • awesome.

  • I'd say youre already there bobby

  • 00:44

  • awesome

  • Its wild how this music...being instrumental, can project such vivid images and thoughts through our minds.

  • It's like a collage of humanity. Everything we love and everything we hate.

  • Its disturbing in good way. Gives you like a odd feeling about how the world works around you.

  • I have old tunes volumes 1 and 2! check out my channel!

  • Brilliant, really.

  • welcome to the circus, this is a ferris wheel!

  • This song envokes paranoia

  • nice tune....prefer the first part over the last though

  • awesome vid for a great great Julie And Candy

  • The deep ones for the pure, selected--shallow ones for old and sick, the derelicts, the poor, the junkies, criminals, the whores. There's more, there's red and yellow, black and blue. There's me, there's you. (Waiting for the cloud.)

  • --now we're waiting for the cloud. And crocodiles were sprouting wings. Dead sheep filled the fields. The children rode on locusts ad threw slings at anything that could be killed and eaten raw. No weeping sore, no claws, no balls . . . We saw it all in colour, now we're waiting for the cloud. We're told it could be 15 days, we're busy digging holes . . .

  • The river was rainbow stew, the fishes choked and cursed. The thirsty dogs spat fire, rolled in glue, then they burst. The fur balls flying, trees were dying--dandelions were crippled, bald . . . We saw it all in colour--now we're waiting for the cloud. A mother forcefed baby milk which ticked and bubbled black. She sank it back with plastic pills although it stank . . . seemed thankful. Rolled up in her sack, she won't be back, she won't grow old . . . We saw it all in colour

  • Its like some story told in your mind with random flashbacks with your memory. I love it.

  • this video was beautiful

  • this is so wierd I DON"T KNOW iF I LiKE iT OR NOT

  • This great! absolutely fantastic.

  • What a variety of video clips! This collage must have taken a long time to make! Interesting how themes of violence and happy people are used.

  • I love this song!

everytime i paint i listen to BOC.

    great great music.

  • what's that last shot showing?

  • :( Now I feel sad

  • There's no point in fighting when you can just relax and listen to this song guys =)

  • This song is wierd buts its great at the same time, its like a meaning of life ^^

  • lol :)

  • Amazing song. One of their best.

  • It's like seeing your whole life flashing right in front of your eyes.

  • i love the song but it doesn't have that effect on me :(

  • Dont look for certain effects

  • what, are you saying to me to not to, or that you don't?

  • i know for the fact that this song is about ecstasy

  • this is just like every other B.o.C. video on youtube short but has a message that prolongs your thoughts it's as if some1 has been dreaming these videos this whole time there is no need to explain whats going there is a switch in my mind it flips on whenever im around B.o.C. Every time it flips on... ...it's as if someone just gave me one more reason to live... it's all so beautiful :) and luckely... ...theres no end in sight :)
  • wow dude, u obviously dnt deserve 2 b listening to B.o.C.

    say no to dope kids.

  • wow dat wuz rly...

    im not even gonna bother

i shouldnt argue anywhere near b.o.c.

    unlike u i show respect

  • psh u would know about meth and shit wouldn't u

it makes me sad that u guys don't reach the emotion we real B.o.C. fans do

    it makes me deeply upset

idc if u call me a druggy

just show a lil more emotion for B.o.C.

they wouldn't want u telling people their druggies

  • don't worry, I'm with you TannerLovesPi.....

  • Every single video of boards of canada on youtube is just..

    a trip across the universe.

    jeeeeesus christ,

I don't need acid.. I have it placed well in my mind & my ears, it's just Boards of Canada is the thing that activated it. ;]

  • Great video and song. They really fit together.

  • you're putting me on!

  • Dude this is one of my favourite tracks ever, but you've chopped it up to make this, and the cuts are quite horrenously blatant. I think it's a real shame because the imagery is really evocative and suitable. Finish it up and don't chop this tune.

  • one of the best videos ive ever seen. perfectly encapsulates boc's style and emotion. this video has everything

  • This video has truly mad my week. By far the best BOX music video I have seen. I saw it on FUSE last night and was blown away!

  • incredible video

  • extra-terrestrials.

  • The most amazing experience I've ever had in my life came to me when listening to this track while on LSD. The tree in front of me sprung to life as though the dirty beat somehow encapsulated the essence of the bark. The drifting melodies were like some kind of life force being pumped through the tree by the bass line.

When written down it doesn't sound anywhere near as beautiful as it was.

Timeless, beautiful, and certainly profound music.

  • Lots of these clips are form Jesus Camp, right?

  • yup

  • thegavintyroneshow, did you get alot of the video in here from Koyaanisqatsi? I just watched it and I thought some of it looked familiar, and then I noticed that I had seen it in here.

  • Koyaanisqatsi? an amazing film.

  • Brilliant !

These aren't the images that come to my head when I listen to the song, but it fits so amazingly well.

  • Whoa...

  • Best boc video i've ever seen... reflects the music so well

  • x-cellent, what a wonderful flurry of imagery.

  • What an amazing video. I agree with fightspacedocy. So emotionally wonderful.

    Children,happyness,war,religion,death,life,art,sound,everything.

  • Amazing video well done I love it and boC .

  • This is the most emotionally impacting music video I have ever experienced. An act of respect to the band as the visuals and music merge so beautifully, thereby creating a kind of poetic montage. I feel this clip deals with themes of war, destruction, and the political turmoil in the world at this moment and finally after this vigorous journey it ends in birth. Taking the audience full circle. I am so glad BOC have decided to officially use this video.

  • Nice usage of the Jesus Camp footage.

  • This reminds me of a little girl on a carousel. hehe.

  • i wonder what they're saying in the beginning..

  • no it doesnt. the music is nostalgic to me. anout a time long forgotten. im working o na cartoon that will replace this one as we speak.

  • Best boc video i've ever seen... reflects the music so well...

  • listen to it everday.

  • Great song...I wonder who directed it? I plan on making films such as this...like a sociological message you know? BoC has always een known for creating torrents of inspiration...I hope they continue to do so for the rest of time.

  • A master piece. Video, and song alike.

  • one of my BOC faves

  • this song makes me so sad in a good way it just weakens me and feel good...

  • my immediate sense was that is video somehow jerks the core of me, coaxing me to take two minutes and think about what's messed up and why we should try to fix it. life should be valued more than it is.

  • good song...peacful makes me think....

  • ...Powerful song and an amazing video....

"Fr life is but a dream... for how we exact our fancies shall remain to be seen.."

    -Andy B

  • Very well edited video. T'works well with the music I think.

Death is life? Explain please, my primitive mind does not comprehend.

  • Speaking on behalf of another:

Yes without no, just as life without death is meaningless. The death of one gives life to another. Look up "ouroboros."

  • Or, the theory of opposites and cycels. What is life if we cannot compare it to death? vice versa.

If one lives, one must die, if one dies, one must live.

  • You are correct. Life without death isn't life. Yes without no isn't yes. The world of opposites is fortunate and unfortunate. Opposites are an illusion, but that illusion makes possible everything that you think is real.

Now let us smoke a bowl.

  • nicely put

  • maybe you should lay off the bowls for a while

  • I don't smoke pot. I just thought it would sound funny. So instead let us have a nice Belgian ale with some sort of aged cheese.

  • Agreed.

  • dude...keep those bowls lit!
