What an AMAZING instrument, Im so jealous, I live in the US and we have nothing to compare with this, I hope to travel France someday and hear them in person... Thank you so much for posting this, I have the Michael Murray 2 SACD set and the sound is like no other !!

What's especially great about this particular Cavaillé-Coll organ, is that it's one of the few which has two enclosed divisions (Récit and Positif). This makes it very much suitable for musci of for example Vierne.

@GJmusique What also is a great thing is the fact that this instrument wasn't changed after it was finished, where Cesar Franck's instrument at Ste Clothilde is nowadays hardly recognizable as a Cavaillé-Coll

A brilliant portrait of this very fine and historically important organ, played with skill, finesse and an artistically sensitive conception of Franck's formidable vision. The striking images convey quite clearly the imposing beauty of this church. The camera work allows the viewer/listener an intimate introduction to the majesty of the console amidst the splendor of the architecture. One can imagine the old master himself improvising at the keyboard while studying this glorious instrument!
