  • can't wait till my first deployment to afghanistan. and i'll finally get to learn the truth about civil affairs

  • great video. one of the best that I have seen. I don't expect someone that hasn't been through what we have to understand. They should respect, we do what we are trained to do. We have no option in the matter.

  • @vetiraq I think that most Americans do understand "basically" what we go through, but part of our job is to go through the Hell so that our countrymen, women and children can enjoy life...unharmed and removed. We do our jobs so they can enjoy the freedoms that are so important to us all.

  • Good job on the video!

I'm enlisted to go into the USMC as soon as I graduate. My brother was the main reason I joined. I guess he was somebody's "Sergeant Bixby" but he didn't die... just got shot.

  • Good Luck. God Bless. Keep your head down. Come home well.

  • 4:16 is sadest part.

War is something nobody can understand why we do it.

I've served and war is something you never want to experience.

  • Also sad is 3:31. I looked pretty good way back then....LOL

  • @ilove215 I agree I was in the RAKKASANS with the 101st for 4.5 yrs. you never want to go back but at the same time thats all you want.

  • Reminds me of a close friend I once had who gave his life in Iraq.

    Sargeant First Class George Pugliese

    KIA: 9-28-05 Ramadi, Iraq

    Charlie 1/109th 28th ID

Earned the Bronze Star with Combat 'V' For VALOR

  • Beautiful song and a great singer. Much love.

  • every company troop or platoon has a seargent bixby in it there is one in every group they talk about like that

  • i can tell you the support you guys here at home give us helps us push on to do what we have to do. And war is hell but we sign up out of love for our freedoms, this piece of ground and the flag with the stars and stripes

  • god bless you for what you're doing for us, you truely are a hero. Words cannot express how we feel, THANK YOU!!! May the lord look over you and your buddies. come home safely my brother!

  • This song depicts the elements of war so well. There is always a Sgt. Bixby in everyone's life, military or civilian.

  • Blessing for these mens who died.Feeling for them.

  • old men are lying, young men are dying

  • It always amazes me when folks attack soldiers for doing their jobs which ome day may be protecting you. Whatever your political views, it takes courage to do what these guys do.

  • Great tribute.

  • WHY DID SGT BIXBY HAVE TO FALL

    DARN

  • I support our troops.

I do not support this war.

  • Nicely done. Honor our guys and gals.

  • Wonderful song. I just hope their efforts are worth it in the end. If we dont stop polluting this earth all their efforts making earth a better place will be in vain since there won't be any earth as we know it left.

  • War sux. Beautiful song though.

  • Honor our soldiers

  • we do care - amazing - well done and thankyou

  • For once, I can't find the words. What words could I possibly use that would accurately describe this? I considered 'incredible', 'inspiring', 'moving', 'touching'. Just know that I am thankful to have viewed it.

    Thanks!

  • God Bless ALL of the allied troops who have sacrificed their lives for the rest of us.

Until they ALL come home !

  • my respect and honor to all those deployed, risking their lives! Your service is appreciated.

  • oh my lord.

that is amazing. I almost cried. Soldiers are wonderful, and I can't thank them enough.

  • He must have been a really top bloke for his troops to do this for him. Great song but have you ever thought of singing/song writing after all this is over, your good! Remember the good times, no matter who you are or where you are.

  • Voice & lyrics are wonderful...makes me miss my soldier. You've been there, haven't you?

  • I really liked this. Your talent lies in the lyrics, but it's a GREAT talent.
