  • is it true that harvesting using water doesn't give u seeds, only wheat?

  • "When you're don, it should look like this"

  • Actually. It seems pretty straight forward. Placing blocks on each other is not a very advanced topic. Awesome tutorial. Thanks.

  • this is going to fast to follow -.-

  • I don't get this.. e.e''

  • omfg FUCK ADS!

  • @BEDBUG1055 especially that heineken one >:(

  • I built a compact underground version of this. With automatic harvest.

  • does it works in 1.1 ?

  • Comment removed

  • @1:37 You build the Water distribution wall that is 5x7 but then when you build the staircase you add a block to each side making it 5x9! >_< That is why I could never get my ramp farm to work.

  • hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahhahhahhahhahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahhahhahaaaaahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhaahahhahahahahhahahhahhahhaaaahhahhahhahahahwahaha

  • nice farm

  • Should it look like this?

  • i can't seed in dirt have you guy an solution?

  • @barchemer123 youneed to hoe it if you havent done

  • @barchemer123 you have to prepare the dirt with a hoe

  • @barchemer123 hoe it, right click

  • I just started playing Minecraft two days ago and I have no idea what those golden blocks are. Can someone please tell me?

  • @pinkhairedneko Glow stone, they're only found in the nether. Its not important though, just use a torch.

  • @pinkhairedneko their glowstone. they are blocks that can light up an area and can be found easily in the nether. their just like tourches, but better.

  • i thought water falling on the wheat destroys the wheat... or is there something im not seeing where it doesnt happen in this design?

  • works really well, but one question: Im fairly new to Minecraft, does irrigation work if the water is under the soil? I was thinking of filling in the side canals and have water under the entire layer of dirt, so as to get better water distribution. Would this idea work? or does Minecraft farming not permit this?

  • @tubester101we sadly it does not :(

  • Agree with other commentors that the exact specifications could be a bit clearer, but this is otherwise an easy to follow guide for we chumps. You can't see it, but I'm tipping my hat to you, sir.

  • DUKE!

  • tooo fast :D

  • The video didnt help, it would have been better if u made a 20 minute long video block by block counting and telling us cuz i am confused as fuck right now on how to make this thing

  • This looks very useful, thanks for it!

  • PLEASE SYNDICATE!

  • Works pretty good, but the measurement at 2:00 is off -- once the stairs are complete the back wall is actually 9 blocks wide as opposed to 7.

  • fantastic!!!!!

  • When you are done, it should look like this

  • This is awesome, thank you :) I replaced the cobbler wall with glass, put a glass roof and poured lava on it, now it looks all snazzy and greenhouse-y xD And now the wheat grows at night too :3

  • its doesnt work with that water on 1.9.4 plz some tips! the water is flowing to the glass blocks :( and is not going far enough! tips plz!

  • @Junepi000 i got it the first time... the numbers are not wrong you need to be careful!

  • The US currency is made up of about 75% cotton and about 25% linen. I have no idea why it smells bad, but it is probably not the fault of Americans because it was in British possesion before you got it.

  • IF U PUT FENCES BENEATH THE TILLED DIRT, IT WONT TURN BACK TO DIRT, AND CROPS WONT GET TRAMPLED WHEN WALKED OR STOOD ON

    THUMBSUP FOR EVERYONE TO SEE

  • Comment removed

  • @msaddict123 tested it and it is fixed in final 1.0

  • @msaddict123 It's been fixed in v1.0.0 final though.

  • this made me in a good mood

  • @Junepi000 You steady hating. Why watch it then? <_<

  • @Junepi000 I did that three times and it works, you're right though it is off.

  • works 1.9pre4 but horrible explanation/tutorial. whole thing is 9 blocks wide. the glass he places is required, not necessarily glass, but the side water needs to be covered. top platform that isn't explained is i think 5 blocks deep for dimensions of 5x7x5

  • Terrible tutorial, at least try to put effort into the videos that make you money you greedy cunt. Fucking machinima youtube whore.

  • @TrippyJellyfish If you dont like it then dont even watch it. -_-

  • @BLTstudio Well first I would have to watch the video to know if i liked it or not wouldn't I? And the comment system is for stating my opinion, after i watched the video, so shut up. Fanboy vs Logic.

  • probobly the most thorough guide of this sort i have ever seen!

  • Works perfect in 1.8, altought the numbers are wrong sometimes, but you just have to try how far the water flows. Thank you for the video, great idea!

  • Comment removed

  • Ok, the concept of this I'll give a 10/10

Also, I'll give another 10/10 for the fact that it looks cool and is pretty neat with lots of potential for customizing and stylizing.

BUT, the explanation leave some to be desired here, specifically, the screenshots and diagrams were a good idea but not quite clear enough and may be a little inaccurate, also it seems you missed explaining a couple steps.

Still good though, but would you mind if I redid a more in-depth tutorial for this technique?

  • @headlump I would appreciate it very much. Could you send me a message if you've finished your tutorial?

  • Watch the video carefully. Do each step one at a time. You may have to test it a few times to make sure it works. The most important part is the side blocks covering the water channels (covered with glass in the video), or else the middle of your water wont join, it will just flow off the edges.

  • Not explained very well but duplicating this setup (manually counting the blocks in the vid) it works in 1.8.1.

  • Using 1.9pre and it doesn't work meaning the middle block the water doesn't join together and flow down.

  • This works just fine as is, in 1.8. Make it on a hill though, and you don't need all those cobblestone blocks underneath. Heck, you don't need them anyway. I also used wood for a bunch of it, including the path in the middle, where I placed wooden stairs too for easy travel. I also made the collection area out of fence and a gate. Works wonders.

  • It certainly doesn't work from 1.8 onward :/

  • @SuicideChtivi17 I made my fix to it and it works just fine with the 1.8 water flow ^^

If there's nuff animo, I can make a video 'bout it with detailed explanations..

  • Shitty tutorial.

Badly (and wrongly explained), it doesn't work.

    I'll try elsewhere...

  • can this work in 1.8? cause i think mines right but the water doesn't run all the way down :/

  • @Junepi000 Calm down dude

  • I'll be making this myself soon =] thanks! the vid quality looks really nice! what screen recorder did you use?

  • This does seeds too? I'm making one now then haha

  • this works so well

  • Not bad but you can reduce the amount of steps needed - I use a 6 by 7 step with 2 plots given over to the points at which the water drops off = 40 wheat per step. Also factor in your need for sneaking to re-plant. With the 6 wide step I simply go up one side and down the other planting 3 rows in - in the long run its faster to make another section of farm than spend longer on planting every time.

The great thing about the game is we can all build things in any way we wish.

  • Comment removed

  • this tutorial is bullshit.. first you say you need it 7 blocks wide.. then you build on a 9 block wide areal... this is bullshit lol

  • Does this water method still work? when I try this the water simply destroys all the crops, instead of turning them into items for collection.

  • @Malgana Did you let the plants fully mature first?

  • @TheBetterGame Yeah, I figured it out.

I made mine in a room with pistons since my house is basically a giant underground cave, so when I was letting the water out from behind the sticky piston wall it was killing the plants because the water was 2 blocks high, which is apparently too much.

    I've fixed it though, thanks.

  • Does this still work for 1.7.3. It's because the water doesn't go more then 8 blocks :S

  • @KIUBIX3 Yes it does. When the water falls 1 level, at the step, it resets the length.

  • @TheBetterGame cool

  • meh, i get 1054 mushrooms in one harvest with my farm. so wheat isn't important to me :D

  • I might be wrong but im pretty sure this doesn't work anymore...

  • @Junokaan Hi mate, check out the tutorial on my channel if you want a more detailed, slower step by step version i have voice over commentary too!:) let me know aht you think, its my first ever video!

  • @BlazinK4 yours is way better lol Im gonna try to make it again.Atleast you told the width of your farm

  • Should have said "A quick tip, sneaking on fertilized land blah blah blah, and quick PRO tip is to turn of sticky keys before doing this."

  • Put the wall on the platform.

YOU HAVEN'T MENTIONED A FUCKING PLATFORM YOU GODDAMNED IDIOT

  • @Brambrambrom Hey there, check out my wheat farm tutorial on my channel buddy, its slower and more detailed than this one, my first ever video too so id love you to check it out and tell me what you think!

  • Man your guides are so unspecific. I couldn't tell half of what you were doing because you weren't explaining it properly and so I had to guesstimate and wasted around two hours on misbuilding this shit.

  • @Brambrambrom

I actually like the style of "explaining". It leaves a lot of space for being creative and comming up with your own solutions.

  • I always wonder why this guy uses porn music in all of his videos.

  • Does this also work with sugarcane?

  • @kittl29fujam1 No it doesn't. Sugar Canes aren't destroyed by water. But since sugar canes need water. if you take the water away and smash it, an entire row will be destroyed.

  • he hasnt mentioned using a hoe to fertilize the soil. Try that if you havent. It might be whats stoppin ur wheat frm growin

  • what can you use Wheat and seeds to?

  • To everyone he makes it 9 blocks wide cobblestone in the center and 4 pieces of dirt on each side.

  • how wide do i make it

  • you miss alot of steps

  • yeaya

  • my water fall didnt work

  • when he does the 5 by 7 wall at the end it looks like a 5 by 8

  • show yourslef building it

  • how to you get rid of the water? lol

  • @ITSAFUCKINGCROCODILE Remove the source block...?

  • this video suck!!!

  • :D thx, ignore all those other ppl saying it was too fast, their brains are too slow

  • What is the point of wheat? Stackable food with the new Aether mod :o

  • Why is your video so fast! >.< FUUUUUCK

  • yea i would do that but that just looks like soooooooooooo much effort

  • @Rxcoon its really easy

  • Hey! Pbat did this!

  • thanks for this!! i made mine to large but i changed the water distributer disign a bit and now i have a automatic farm thats even larger then this one :D

  • The thing is, your dimensions are wrong, i.e 2:02 You say it is 7 blocks wide when in face it is 9.

  • @ssj3goku29 its 9 blocks wide because of the stairs. if you have a ladder or something it would only be 7 wide :)

  • can someone tell me why i get no wheat or seeds even thought i let everything fully grow

  • Cool

  • When I use the water to harvest, I only get very little seeds and no wheat. Can anybody help me?

  • @Sapiens1239 You arent waiting long enough for the plant to mature.

  • is there anyone who can show me how to build the water distribution part better? I thought I got it right, but it's not working at all. Perhaps if he went slower and showed it more clearly.....

  • how come for me no wheat shows up? ive followed all the dirrections and built it right..

  • @BMarch19 Umm bro Did you plant seeds?

  • @runescapemaster44131 yes i did, and let them fully grow. but when i put the water in it flows to the bottom but no wheat shows up..

  • Why is the outer wall 30 squares long? The platforms (8+4+4+6) are only 22 units long. Including the 2 at the front is only 24.

  • Hmm, I've tried something similar but the water destroyed almost all the wheat without dropping wheat or seeds. But here you get 88% efficiency. Maybe it destroys the wheat where the water falls from above but not where it flows from the side.

  • lol i guess im not the only one who couldnt understand the instructions :P

  • it is 9 blocks wide :< had to redo it 5 times :S

  • @jeffliu8 me too :P

  • I did it, but this was a TERRIBLE commentary.

  • @ausitnd9 make a better commentary

  • @victinhoemn -__-. I could think of many people, not including me, who could do this in less time, with only text, and have it a lot more understandable. (See- Keirshar)

  • @victinhoemn I just think that he could have gone far more in depth. All he said about the water distribution platform was, "and build it".

  • @ausitnd9 thats enough for a good commentary

  • sorry i wanted to say worked perfectly :D

  • didnt work-_-

  • @yeroslav11 well then you're an idiot for not following the instructions.

  • why 7 blocks when there is 9!!!!!

  • i cant folow you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Instead of taking the water out every time just use a piston to stop the flow and hook it up to redstone

  • 21 people hate bread... :/

  • DUKE NUKEM CHARACTER IN MINECRAFT EPIC DUDE

  • now make it self planting

  • Comment removed

  • i finally got it, took me a long time, but i got it :D

  • My question is if I want to make it bigger, do I just add more 4 sections?

  • @fallenwaelin yeah

  • Comment removed

  • wow just amazing

  • could u make a walkthrough for this

  • thats the best tutorial for the automatic farming i've seen yet

  • Thank you really much, i have tried so many other tutorials and they didn´t work ( or it is just me who suck at building ) but this one worked for me. So thank you very, very much

  • you can do it with a botten now and a piston ^^

  • I'M GONNA MAKE ONE TWICE AS BIG! WAIT... 3 TIMES BIGGEEEEERRRR!!!!

  • Video Response:

It should be: Minecraft: TNT Cannon ft. Kiershar

  • FUCK YOU STUPID MACHINIMA DIDNT GET A FUCK AFTER THIS STUPID VID TO FUCKING FAST FCUK MACHINIMA

  • @Jeffhardy15CF Its not Machinima's fault, nor is it even mine. The video is not too fast, your too slow.

  • Looking at this video the actual farmland on either side is 4 blocks, plus the block in the middle makes 9 blocks wide. If that wall is as wide as the farmland (as it shows it to be at 2:00) it would be 9 blocks wide. I just made this thing, my wall had to be 9 wide according to his schematics, luckily it still worked fine.

  • 1.7 came out today, and now all I need to do is pull a lever, and my crops are harvested!

  • @ZePyroDeer

    hows that?

  • @ZePyroDeer what do you mean? it doesnt works with the trapdoors.

  • @Gunne619 pistons you newb

  • @rtehotrod40928 If you don't know just count

  • The instructions say to make the back wall 7x5, however the wall in your video is 9x5

  • @StevePaup No, it isn't.

  • @StevePaup If you incude the stairs then you would be right

  • does this also work with sugar cane

  • you should make your videos more detailed like how wide is it and not just skip over parts. :(

  • @LiveForThrill Check out the tutorial on my channel mate, its my first ever video but its a lot more detailed than this with actual step by step and no sped up segments :)

  • i really enjoy his minecraft tutorials :)

  • Thumb up if PBat got you here (:

  • how wide is it?

  • i doubt you have the time, but you should make a list of what you need to make it.

Like so many dirt blocks, cobblestone, glass, etc. So we can make sure we have enough materials to make it before we start. (:

  • @MachinimaRealm i was also wondering how many seeds it takes you to fill it each time. o.o

  • MINECRAFT!!!
