  • love the snare

  • how would you go about getting this audio in a way thay you could slow it down a bit?

  • @novitec360 Either rip it using a YouTube audio ripper website/software or record it through a program like Audacity using the "What U Hear" audio output. Once you have the audio in a file on your computer you can then use any audio manipulation program you please drop either speed or tempo (tempo will not lose pitch).

  • @GrumpyGrebo Cheers bro

  • @novitec360 video 2 mp3 dot net, shove the link up there in ^ and you'll get the MP3 file.

  • @GrumpyGrebo One thing bro, I can slow it down fine using media player, but if I wanted to burn it to disk at that slower speed how would I go about that?

  • @novitec360 Ultimately you need to end up with a file that contains the slowed down song... media player doesn't allow you to "save" or export files AFAIK. A program I use for this type of thing is Audacity, if you Google it it's got a sourceforge page where you can download and install it. From Audacity you can then open the file and carry out various effects including changing tempo. You can then export the file as WAV (it will be quite big) and burn it using media player if I remember.

  • @GrumpyGrebo You legend. I'll give it a whirl bro.

  • @GrumpyGrebo Ok one final thing. I've downloaded it and all, but can you run me through how exactly i save it so that it saves the slowed down version? Explain it like I'm a total noob. Cheers man.

  • Best drummer of all time(after Neil Peart) :)

  • Can somebody please tell me what software you need to be able to make these videos?

  • @SharksEatDucks15 This was released on the special edition of an album.

  • I saw them do this song at Mayhem 2010. It was the first time I had heard it.

I just remember thinking, "Man, the drums make this song. The double bass on the hook is just so pummeling. It forces the song on you." Really good song.

  • Anyone notice that the double kicks in this are VERY reminiscent of the double kicks in now you've got something to die for? I love this song and I love the drums a lot in it but at 2:58 there's a real good example of this.

  • covering this on drums, is set to fail.

  • thumbs up chris is better than jordison

  • @TheMorbidAsshole Thumbs up if you agree opinion=/=fact.

  • @TheMorbidAsshole much better indeed

  • How does he make such simple beats seem like the most fun thing ever to play?

  • Chris has great talent, his beats switch up multiple times during the song but still go back to a basic beat, his bits and peices he throws into the song spice it up like a habanaro pepper. He's the greatest drummer in his mind, it's what keeps him going. If he sat around worrying about other drummers that are better than him then he would not play anymore.

  • Mike Mangina? What?

  • Chris Adler is an amazing drummer and full of so much talent, However, he could not even compare to Mike Mangini. :)

  • 0:17 - 0:26

Some tasty double bass going on there.

  • @CesarHuez btw that argument is invalid. we are talking about the drumming, not the song. there's a difference between technical drumming and the straight simple-timed (music theory term) drumming that Chris plays. thank you

  • His foot drums are pretty sick

  • Matt Greiner. now all of your minds are changed

  • @ninjadrummerman XD Matt Greiner is indeed a monster, but Chris is better...for now. O.O

  • @GuyNamedCarl not really haha

  • @ninjadrummerman lol yeah. Matt will definitely surpass him when they stop making music, but as shown here, Chris just keeps getting better.

  • @GuyNamedCarl no, seriously. He's not haha. Go to augustburnsred, the youtube channel, and watch their latest video of Matt drumming. you'll see he is better by far. thank you. end of conversation.

  • @ninjadrummerman People actually believe this horse shit?

  • @Omnominable I know haha, People just think that the drummer in their favorite band is the best drummer in the world cuz they love the band. its what all the rooks believe, especially a7x n00bs. and i'm saying this cuz ABR isn't my favorite band, i just know the level of talent Matt plays at.

  • @ninjadrummerman I respect your opinion, but i prefer this spectacular drumming than a song full of fills and all that stuff

  • @CesarHuez i hope you realize how easy it is to play this song in this video. if you played the drums, you'd know...

  • @ninjadrummerman i actually i play drums, but im talking about that i think his drumming sounds better with this song (Chris Adler´s drumming)

  • @CesarHuez we aren't talking about the song tho. we are talking about who was the better drummer. there's also a difference of what SOUNDS better and what IS better

  • @ninjadrummerman there is no better drummer at this level, just whos style you like more, matt is a very fill heavy drummer, as is blake richardson from BTBAM, Chirs adler plays very different then matt, and also the bands are very different, can not compare.

  • @Insid15 that's true to some extent. and i mean they both play metal, so there's something to base them off of. Chris plays simple beats, that's all there's to it. no creativity. listen to ABR's new record, Matt is genius. I'm sorry, style is not the issue

  • great guitar backing track..

  • Is this the actual snare sound from the album? It sounds so weak.

  • WAY BETTER THAN TRAVIS. FUCK

  • two people cant hear the lyrics:)

  • 2 people don't understand anything

  • much better than fkn jordison

  • Chris Adler is the fuckin MAN!!!!! he's so fucking clean

  • Chris adler is a uniiqe metal drummer ffs he has his own sytle and its fukin awsome :D

  • NOT A FAN of the recording techniqes, the drums sound too flat and tinny. need to open mic them or sumthing. especially the snare

  • Chris' style is simple but complements the guitars like the way a pair of BOOBS complement a bikini top.

  • @MrRene806 I don't he is the most simple of drummers..He's fucking beast

  • repetitions in his songs at 0:53, thats from walk with me in hell xD

  • @pantera5966 not really but kinda lol he still is fuckin siick

  • @lambolover14 they are somewhat repetitive, but yeah, he is a fucking amazing drummer xD

  • @pantera5966 tats true mate but his blasts contain six or 8 basses.... not many can fuck with tat...

  • @doggylolipop indeed :3

  • @doggylolipop In this song he doesn't go over 4 though.

  • @pantera5966

Yeah from a guitar players stand point and looking at all the drumming, the song seemed a bit contrived. They use a lot of parts from other songs, as if to make a "supersong" that would sound really good.

  • @8thgradecuadorian Holy shit thats smart o.o.. I can barely play rhythm to this on guitar, but the fact is, i can :3

  • @pantera5966 ikr

  • @pantera5966 yea exactly the same tempo

  • wow i dont even like lamb of god, i just realized that me and him have the same drumming style, obviously he does it better, but i would go about the beats quite simmalr ways

  • Hey everyone, you need to check this place out - not spam, completely related btw

It's a collection of more than 700 studio guitar, drum, bass and other isolated tracks just like this one and you can download them for free (there's no catch)

    tracklibraryOblogspotOcom (replace "O" with ".")

    Just trying to be helpful

  • chris adler is about as skilled as most drummers, but he uses all his potential in his songs, unlike most drummers who play great solos, but are boring in songs. chris adler has such creative drum parts and it never gets boring

  • Oh this recording just melts in my mouth. Not in my hand.

  • @FlankinspanK You sir, are a genius.

  • Check out this place Track Library. There are more than 600 studio guitar, drum, bass and other tracks just like this one, all available for free downloading.

    tracklibraryOblogspotOcom

    (remove the "O"s)

  • muuuuuuuuuuch better than fu***** jordison

  • @Remixsification dude, i was listening to Shitknot and seriously, i think he only knows how to do that one fill he does

  • BOOMbraaapeteee BOOMbraapetee :D

  • Unlike many "good" drummers, Chris don't overuse turbo-double bass.

    ...I like that

  • The fill at 2:32 is he playing three bass hits between tom hits?

  • @Calibur43

Nah it's gravity blast on toms...

    Lol

  • @Unrated48 @Unrated48 Ummm. I'll just assume your not a dummer, judging by that comment.

Have you any idea what a gravity blast is? Give TheChosenLegacy's above comment a look, he's got the right idea.

A gravity blast is a one-handed 16th note roll on the snare, on top of an identical 16th note roll on the double bass, while the other hand plays 8th notes on the cymbal of said hand's choice. Almost no similarity, other than the fact that there are drums involved...

  • Comment removed

  • @Calibur43 No. He is actua;\lly Playing two on the bass drum and two on the toms.

    Its called doubles over doubles

  • this is sick

  • Chris Adler is the best WOOO !!

  • Omfg... I had the exact same drum kit as you. same sound and everything... then i woke up..

  • @flatlandskater198 hahahaha

  • Kiváló!

  • i just cummed in my pants..though i'm playing the guitar..Chris Adler is just fuckin awesome.

  • Is it just me or do Chris' blast beats at the beginning sound like he's shooting at you with an awesome powered full auto of drumming?

  • @HowRude666 well he created some of the most dynamic and technical fills and foot work.... amazing stuff!!

  • i didnt know he was married... i feel like a shitty LOG fan right now....

  • @6Hatred6Darkness6 Don't worry, neither did I.

  • if i could record and master a drum track s well as this i probably wouldnt be living in the house i am now

  • It's great

  • Wow, hes THE BEST!!!!!!! And im left handed aswell and play in a right handed kit :P

  • @joeyfan13 Dude, in drumming it doens't matter if your left handed or right handed. Learn to use both hands the same.

  • wow

  • Chris Adler is left handed and he plays on a right handed kit.

  • @metalrocks21rapsucks well that just goes to show how talented he really is then right?

  • @NFSMASTER101 Yeah that's why I pointed that out. He's a god.

  • Awesome! Fucking god!

  • how we can have just the drum part?

  • i could listen to this all day :D

  • i thought chris was known for his guitar playing, is he the legit drummer for lamb of god? or does he switch with someone every now and then

  • @MadJack122 willie adler is the guitar player. his brother.

  • @MadJack122 Chris is a drummer and has been all his life, he is the drummer for the current band Lamb of God.

  • @MetalPoster actually, no. he played bass up until college

  • Chris Adler KICKS ASSES

Chris has made a new level of beats that nono other drummesr could think of. kickass song. LOG!!!!

  • Chris Adler just KICKS ASSES

  • The reason why I think he's one of the best is because he started playing drums when he was in his 20's.

  • @ahhhhmazing1 that has nothing to do with it, ive been playing since i was 13

  • @blackfirexxxx I'm saying that when started playing he already had a great sense of beat, was older, and had alot more coordination is all.

  • Chris adler is my life idol. He's certainly one of, if not the best drumemr out there. He may not be SUPER fast like other metal bands. But his style and prefferance is to not be like everyone else and just do constant bass. He puts his own licks into everything he does with drums. He's come a long way from coffee jars in his mom's back yard!!!

  • @bltactboy17 well i agree but he can be just as fast as those others if he wanted, he just doesnt choose to, but he's very capible

  • @indiangangsta2322 true that all the way

  • I love his snare sound!!! It reminds me of St. Anger, but with more punch,,,

  • @mvyper

    black panthers baby haha :)!!!

  • @mvyper i would of said it was nothing like it I mean Lars kit in that album sounded shit :L Chris' kit for me has always sounded awesome and unique just like his playing but o well just my opinion :P

  • @mvyper St.anger's snare is the worst sounding snare ever, prove me wrong lol.

  • @danlevy4 this isn't any better just listen to the st anger drums only video. this snare is like an eq altered piccolo snare lol

  • I think Chris Adler is one of the best metal drummers today, because of his really nice technique and his unique style, which is also one main reason for LoG's awesome sound!

  • @StaticXFM I completely agree with you. Also, the fact that he's so clean is amazing. His hands are going lightning fast but you can hear every single drum and cymbal that he hits.

  • @StaticXFM u can't for get johns bass.... ppl don't relize it but metal wouldn't have it's EPIC sound if it wern't 4 the bass

  • snare is wack

  • @ 0.56 sounds the same beat as 'walk with me in hell' but he is still one of the best drummers out there

  • y el pendejo de Joey Jordison Donde quedo? jajajaja

  • The stuff he does is ridiculous, especially the double bass beats, plus his drumming fits perfectly with the music.

  • fuck yes i could play guitar to this. thanks

  • listen to the sound of the bassdrum and then listen to dream theaters latest black clouds and silver sky!

  • perfect

  • I cant imagine being able to play like that. Its impossible!!

  • no way someone this awesome is a member of PETA

  • beast

  • Wheres Ruin for drums only?!?!

  • @jr240891 All the drum only, bass only and guitar only covers (or most of them anyway) are from the studio experience disk of the new album, so ruin wont be anywhere, i dont think.

  • @linx950

Ahh i see. Shame man... Thanks anyway (Y)

  • Chris Adlers drumstyle dont nessesarily reflect his technical skills, and people fail too se this. Chris might not be the fastest drummer, but his style is unique, and if we start talking about orginality, there is plenty of metal bands that should bring more to the table..

  • @fistepot I know plus i hate those drummers that just double bass as fast as they can the entire song but it doesnt go with it at all... but Adler doesnt just go all out in a song he knows it wouldnt sound good in...

  • @fistepot He is also a Left handed Drummer.. and plays on a Right handed Drum Set =D... well so says wiki

  • @TeamFallenOnes im just askin a random preson not hating or ne thing but whats up with ""

i dont understand it at all

  • @TeamFallenOnes I do that too.

  • @TeamFallenOnes NOSHIT..... I DIDNT' KNOW THAT ONE, MATE.... Wow!

  • People have to understand that Chris Adler's drumming is based on a very tight correlation to the music, and not insane speed. I personally love death metal with blasting, but Chris has an almost melodic style, which you lose when you start blasting.

  • FUCK OFF all you Retards who think he's crap! His style Fits Lamb of God perfectly. If they had some fuckwit who's only claim to fame was that he can do 900bpm shit i probably wouldn't enjoy their music as much as i do!

  • How did you get drum sounds only?

  • i had this on my myspace once and some kid thought it was me playing.. i like was wtf u think i could do anything like this? lol

  • perfect...too clean ...chris the robot adler !

  • @quadbassblaster at least he doesn't use cheating pedals. you do and he's still better.

  • @mnes37 ......when the fuck did i say that im better than chris ?! do u have ur daddys dick in ur ears ?! SACK LICKER !

  • @quadbassblaster haha i'm just fuckin around man. not tryin to get on your case.

  • THIS MAN IS A GOD.

    BOW TO HIM

  • please guys no fighting. yes, lamb of god might not be the most impossible thing to play on the drums. but it is fun to listen to it. so please dont rag on other drummers purely on skill. or rag on them for all. metal is metal. sub genres shouldnt be bashing other sub genres. we should be bashing rap, or pop. not eachother. sorry if i sound like some douche vouching for world peace

  • heck yeh lets go bash some rappers and rnb and pop coz they should fucking die. METAL WILL RISE AGAIN

  • Comment removed

  • @theneongray dont be jealous of his godly skills and then all the harder genres demonic skills..theirs a difference

  • @theneongray no upload video , no favorite .....smells like a troll , trolling on another video. and btw mostly every core is some clusterfuck of drums , with a shitload of blast beats and the double pedals that goes with it , theres no heart , theres nothing. only the same repetetive movement of blast beats.

  • @theneongray yea a scream you cant hear shit , the drum that is clusterfuck , only blastbeat . and im prob older than you;) , so you're the kid for me . you are pathetic , you go on video just to diss drummers. you are the one having very limited musical understanding , core is clusterfuck of drum. which is not nice , with lamb of god the drum is not a clusterfuck , it is well played , it fits with the song. and who are you to judge he can't play you have no video . next troll plz :).

  • -_- you don't play drums...or any instrument for that matter and it is quite obvious given your embarrassingly poor grasp of what is and is not technical ability.

  • you can never compare about music( except gay emo, punk RNB hip hop shit those were exception) but in Instrumental music, you can't compare them cause it's all opinions, well i also listen to all those bands that you do, and i really like meshuggah too ,yes true Tomas Haake stuff's are more complex than lamb of god and not alittle more complex, quite alot i think, but Chris adler is pretty creative, i like his drumming, yet lamb of god is my fav band, its the best band for me but not everyone

  • I can't even begin to understand where to start disecting this thing, it's so fuckig amazing and I play guitar, never played drums and probably never will. God damn that boys good!

  • awesome

  • The lamb of god - wrath limited edition album came with the tracks of bass + drums, drums only, etc, i believe

  • hey, very nice!! just one question dude, what program or what did u use to get only the drums?? it´d be very helpful for us drummers if u could share to us what u used :)

  • Awsome, now I can take the notations and make a cover with my band. Cover coming up soon

  • chris is an amazing drummer and this definatley showcases his talent

  • dude fucking awesome!

  • How does he do 2:30-2:34 the tom bass rolls...that the only part of this song i can't seem to get down.

  • @Razorskator not completly sure but at one listen it sounds like sixtuplets to me

  • he first is keeping the down beat with his bass drum and alternating tom hits. then he ends it with a basic double bass roll down the toms.

  • here's how you play it... S=Snare, T=Tom1, T'= Tom 2, K= Kick

STKK T'TKK (these are played as 32nd notes)

    STKK T'TKK (" " 32nd notes)

    STKK T'TKK (" " 32nd notes

    S S S S (these are played as 16th notes)

then hit the crash and kick on 1

    hope that helps :)

  • 1:34

I want to be able to do that.

  • @TheLobotomist

LOL true, it's actual insanity :D

  • then practice :]

    not hard at all

  • It's not the fact that he is just "amazing" and I wouldn't take the advice of a 14 year old who bases his understanding of percussion off the kit his mom bought him last christmas(not pointing fingers). It's the simple fact that he is solid with every bar of the song. Simple but innovative, not stupid fast and always above freaking 250 bpm. All for the fast stuff, but dont let that be your only outlet to what good musicianship is.

  • @autiemetal it just seems like his only "unique" thing he does are his double kick patterns. :P

  • hes alright but i dont know why so many lamb of god fans consider him one of the best.

look up george kollias or john longstreth

  • kollias and john are great drummers, Kollias cant be beaten at speed thats for sure, but chris has a unique stlye of playing, which is more important for me.

  • i understand y you would say that but the way he plays just sounds so average to me :P

  • what? average? dude he is far from average. your one of those guys!

  • He doesn't sounds average at all...

His style of plays not based on speed like most drummers
