Based on the coments about detention, they are talking about the Patriot Act (which is now law). There are right now US citizens held for years without charge or access to lawyers. It took approx. five years for Jose Padilla (a US citizen) to be brought to trial. Then the charges had nothing to do with the "Dirty Bomb" for which we were told he was detained.
