Good for you to bring this up. Christianity has lost so much of its teachings because we are not taught how to empower ourselves and take responsibility for our own spiritual growth. As much as God controls and runs the whole universe he gives us free will and lets us make the choice to work towards God or away from Him. But we are not responsible enough. Christianity is not dumb, blind following. We have to take up the spear and sword and fight the battle of life with courage and faith.
We were never ment to go backwards from the power they had in the book of acts ...We need to repent and keep praying for the dunimus POWER ,signs and wonders ..God Bless you your right on
