Never happened to me, and I've played around 400 hours or so. I also got it the month it came out.

Convert your Xbox save to a PC save

Run the program

Re-convert your PC save to an Xbox save.

@SpaGoonGa Could you elaborate on how I go about doing this please? I'm very interested in saving my character. What do I need to do this? Where can I find instuctions on this process? How many gamesaves do I need? Are there any repercussions to this process?

JUST got hit with this glitch at around 430 hours. Unbelievable.

I got the collectors edition for the 360 back in 06 when it came out and the entire game crashed at 100 hours. It would freeze every time I tried to load my game. I loaded up my backup save I kept just in case the game froze or something which was at 96 hours and played it to 100 hours again. The same thing happened again, i saved my game and it would freeze every time i tried to load it. Unfortunately I didn't have a backup save this time.

@dwayne5495 Well, I did kinda. I was able to use 3 different disks (2 original and 1 goty edition) on 2 different PS3s with multiple playthroughs (I didn't buy all that; I traded, borrowed...). And they all crapped out on me. You say that you've play for 2000 days (or whatever) but I'm more interested in the amount of hours you've been playing. It always starts crashing at 459:59, not matter how many days it shows. How many hours have you gotten so far? You seem to be one of the lucky ones...

Well that sucks....I'm at 439 hours and it started. I was pretty close to completing, exploring, and collecting everything. This glitch really kills the enjoyment, animations frozen, doors, spells, saves not loading. I can still play which is fortunate and I did find though that some doors will open and animations work when a torch is equipped. Also in the Shivering Isles, doors can be opened by using wait to pass an hour over and over. Save multiple times as well, most of mine won't work now.

@dwayne5495 I have a PS3 and this glitch occurred. It happens at around 459:59. Sometimes sooner. Glad yours is working though...

There's nothing funny about it when it happens to you, and it WILL happen to everyone that plays the game long enough.

This is not true at all, no amount of cache clearing will fix this. It has to to do with the hours played in the game, and the save games recording that past a point they were never meant to be recorded.

So it glitches out a variable that controls the timing of these animations and once it happens there's no undoing it. You can 't play anymore, because doors don't open right and spells blocks your character's first person view.

Darkdayzz- No, they have not. Bethesda does not know how to fix the problem, the only fix for it is on the PC and is made by fans. Also, the consoles don't usually experience it till 300-500 hours.

V00mCP- Hehe, you wouldn't be saying that if you invested 300+ hours into a character (which can take a year if you play very seldomly), just to have it be broken. The spells aren't the only things that slow like that, doors sometimes won't open, animations that complete quests, will break a game.

I have been in more than a few forums. The GoD is definitely happening to more than a few systems. I've gotten the same thing two weeks ago. It sucks if you're really into Oblivion. After countless hrs, I have to say that this glitch is the one that has made me stop playing it. Bethesda is not evening acknowledging that there is a problem. Solution, start your character over... LOL

Im pretty sure the xbox guide was a good enough proof that this was on the 360, whereas the idea that a lava lamp proves that it's a TV does nothing of the sort; in fact it just proves that you're an idiot.

You can enchant one or go in the oblvion gate for one.

but if you are gonna do that glitch dont do it with a chameleon enchanted ring because it messes up all the fun

if you do its only really good to be invincible and go on rampages

You Dupe a enchanted ring

just make 2

and then you equip one

and dupe the other

then you should have the enchantment permanently

and it works good but gets annoying with chameleon
