Just stay away from the 2002 model when they introduced them .Edmunds has around a 40 percent rating against them.The 4.7 liter is a horrible gas hog.I have had my reg cab 2002 4.7 slt model for around 5 and a half yrs.I enjoy it yes but with a set of 20's on it aftermarket and K and N air intake i still can only get 11 12 mpg.Yes i have considered many times selling it.I kinda hate to its a good looking paid for ride.The gas is killing me though.I think they are okay trucks but the best no.

I own a 010 Dodge 2500 with a cummins the motor is great have had little prob with it so far but the rest of the truck is junk its in the shop every other week because the truck can not handle what dodge claims it can. My Brother is all so an oil worker and he bought a chev d max about the same time and has had no problems with it chev is just a better built truck
