  • WOW! VH!!!

  • Its flying! not like the song wasn't energetic and charged as it was at the typical tempo, this is stoked with some additional fuel - the EOT has been ordered to full speed ahead.

  • There are thousands of unknown "proper" singers out there, but there is only ONE David Lee Roth, ok?

  • eddie dont like dave by now

  • They were just on FIRE back then!!

  • David was actually a great singer! people say studio this studio that but they did they stuff live in studio! only reason he's not so tight live is because he's running around stage basically screaming "look at me!" he's more visual than audio on stage! but the notes he hit on fair warning and diver down are great!

  • I love how Michael Anthony had the best singing voice in the band...but then again Roth was the best front man of the 80's

  • @Speates actually no mistake

  • Great song. Great guitar worke. They were a 10.

  • Epic at 0:36

  • That is one bad ass song

  • if i was born back then, i WOULD HAVE GONE! cuz now i DO live in MD.

  • Diver Down is very underrated, probably the best in my opinion!

  • I love it, but it was Eddie's least favorite because of all the cover songs.

    Eh... whatever.

  • nah its women and children thats the best ALBUM in my opinion

  • @Cricchio427 I love it!

  • will anyone tell me how 2 burn a audio cd of these live videos?

  • up up down down left right left right B A B A START

  • Yeah; nobody is high here.

  • im definatley noit hi

  • the high tap at 01.40 on the B-string i once was doing that and my B-styring totally snapt

  • Who has this kind of dexterity?

Yeah it was "a few summers ago" but ain't nobody done it like this since. Eddie is the master. The sound he creates with his fingers - just rips!

    EVH.

  • Eddie's dexterity can partly be attributed to his large hands.

  • knows how to use them.

  • This is why VH is my favorite band, they write kickass music, sound great live, and they are a band that puts a smile on your face when you here those kickass intros. Bands like Nirvana, sabbath, metallica, all great and some of my faves, but most of their music is sort of depressing, especially Nirvana. When I listen to VH, I find nothing depressing about sex, parties and booze. Nirvana, sabbath, metallica, all great and some of my faves, but when i want to have a good time, i listen to VH.

  • @VHfan4life24 Exactly!! And when you watch them live with Hagar they look like a totally different band. I don't know if it was cus they were in the 30s and a little older, but the stage presence, presentation, balls to the wall excitement wasn't there.

  • I AGREEE!

  • Good ol' eddie always having a smile on his face =P

  • because he was drunk/high

  • probaly, but van halen couldn't have been touched 78-84!one of the best!

  • Yet another concert of VH that I have on DVD.

I have the US Festival too. Both are for sale.

I paid more then I should have but they are VH in their early days so thats what makes them so good. The US Festival concert video quality is somewhat poor and the sound is just so - so at times. Neither of these DVD would qualify for regular TV quality but the vide and sounds are there...so crack a beer or smoke one and enjoy them for what they are.

  • This clip validates my memories of these guys back in the day! They really were unmatchable. You don't get this level of pure musicianship and showmanship anymore. A VH concert was about the biggest event possible to me back in '82! It was like f-ing Christmas!

  • bless your soul for posting this...

  • Fun, talent, great showmanship, a total blast!

  • gotta love the chaotic sound of real van halen!!

  • Kick ass!! Cocaine is a helluva drug.

  • 10/09/82 Dave's birthday with the midgets I think was at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse

  • dave makes me giggle

  • I was at this concert. Unbelievable. It was in the Fall of '82 and I was 24 years old. Roth had just appeared in an live interview on MTV (still not seen on most cable systems in US) w/Martha Quinn and she mentioned his birthday coming up. Roth celebrated his birthday at Cap Centre at this show.

  • Best VH song ever!!

  • Id say that Dave did alot better with remembering the words for the most part.

  • The 'Hear about It Later' solo and the 'Hang em' High' solo are two of Eddie's best!

  • Anthony's harmony is just nuts. He's the greatest singer in VH, and the only guy ever who sounds like a girl and cool at the same time.

  • Great song, killer solo.

  • I love this song. This video's great quality.

  • Just announce the tour already! I am tired of waiting and ready to buy tickets!

  • I went to see a show on that tour! I was only 14! I'm a dude by the way.

  • Time HANGs heavy on our hands while we're waitin' 4 reunion... sighsigh

  • HANG EM HIIIGGHHGHGH

  • muito bom ..epoca do Diver Down
