@EpiDemic117 no, I'm a girl - the kind with tits and a cunt. I'm a butch dyke, but clearly you've never met anyone like me in the fucking shithole you live in.
@king02110 I currently use a Nexus S and an iPhone 4. I also use a Nokia N8 from time-to-time. What phones I recommend changes often,
You are in Brazil, right? The EVO 4G is a CDMA phone and likely won't work in Brazil, the Desire HD is only dual band 3G (2100/900 MHz) so keep that in mind. For Android GSM devices, I'd recommend importing a Nexus S from the US, or getting a Galaxy S. If you like iOS, the iPhone 4 is a fantastic phone.
@qrpkgrl Nice... Do you know where I Can Import a Nexus S to Brazil?? Because I dont Have any Idea and really liked the phone.. And Here It costs about $1000..
I've owned an Incredible since the first week it became available, but just saw this unboxing video, which was one the most clear and useful overviews I've experienced. Found your Wordpress site as well - you do good work and I now have it bookmarked.
Wondering why 14 people gave this unboxing a thumbs down - the comparison to Nexus One was highly useful, among other things.
The hd2 or evo 4g style wise but the unique body style is really growing on me, man it's such a serious piece of hardware it's the the first time I felt like I have a mini pc In my pocket and vie had the iPhone 3G
@ROKR77 nope, the Nexus One uses GSM Radio and Verizon and Sprint uses CDMA two different Radio types. you cant use an GSM device like an iPhone on Sprint or Verizon. only shitty AT&T enjoy your shitty AT&T service you iphone users and your non unlimited data plans! :P
@ericislame You didn't watch the video. Or at least you didn't listen, did you?

Hey qrpkgrl. I am ordering this and i have verizon. I just want to know if you like the HTC Evo 4g better. Also, in the sun is the incredible horrible? And just out of curiosity how come you call yourself tankgrl. Ok thanks!!! Plz reply!!!
@asianguyfrom2012 The Incredible screen is harder to read in direct sunlight than the EVO 4G screen - it's not horrible. The EVO 4G has more features than the Incredible, but both are similar - the biggest difference is size. Also, you can't get 4G on the EVO 4G unless you live in a 4G area - 3G works fine though.
I handle everywhere online is tnkgrl (except here on YouTube) - I kinda look like the comic book character. If you Google tnkgrl, my blog is the first result.

@JF1nn What does it tell you? I have a Nexus One as my primary phone.
II also use the iPhone 3GS because it's one of the few phones that supports initial autofocus, i.e. I can preset the focus before I start the video and get clear closeup shots.
@qrpkgrl It tells me that the iPhone 3GS is still the king ;-) The Nexus One does look great though, especially with the new Android 2.2 OS. Gonna wait and see what Apple has coming for their 4-th gen before I make a decision on my next phone though.
The Droid? Lol, it's the same CPU as the 3GS but at a slower clock speed, it has the same RAM, it has less on board memory, its heavier. This is offset by a little bit better camera. No way is does it make the 3GS "look like a joke". The Nexus One and Incredible however use a newer generation of hardware for sure. That been said the 3GS still almost keeps up with them and the 4-th gen is going to be on par easily. I personally am not gonna get a new handset until the 4-th gen is announced.
@JF1nn I've used all these phone, I've developed on all these phones. Have you?
The Droid/Milestone wins over the iPhone 3GS on the higher resolution screen and the OS alone. The keyboard and design are a matter of taste. The camera is better than the iPhone 3GS. It was the first Android device to give the iPhone 3GS a run for its money.
@JF1nn As for storage, you can put a 32 GB micro-SD card in all/any of these Android phones, and that's plenty.
As I mentioned, the iPhone HD and OS4 are doing to bring the iPhone back to the forefront for a while, but I consider the iPhone 3GS (and even the original Droid) obsolete.
@qrpkgrl yes I agree that the Nexus One, and the Incredible (although its build quality is not as good as the N1 or 3GS) do mostly makethe iPhone 3GS obsolete. Cellphones are evolving so fast right now, 6 months after any phones release there is something better. The 4-th iPhone will be amazing though, and I hope a 2nd get N1 will come to more carriers at the $179-199 price (AT&T for example must pay $580 for it unlocked)
@JF1nn sure the iPhone 3GS user experience is better, but from both a hardware and functionality perspective, there's no contest - HTC's superphones win (for now).
As a developer I prefer working on the iPhone/iPad, but Android is getting better in that regard, too.
As for the initial autofocus feature for video recording, it's also available on the N900, the Incredible and the EVO 4G.
@kasparas95 Because the Incredible is the successor to the Nexus One, and until the Incredible and EVO 4G, the Nexus One was arguably the holy grail of phones.
i want this phone but i have sweaty hands. in the past i have not had goodluck with touch screen phones. do you think i could get a screen protector or something? would that help or should i just look for a different phone
@wiggie200486 yes, because it's one of the few phones that supports initial autofocus, i.e. I can preset the focus before I start the video and get clear closeup shots.
can anybody please tell me if there will be a phone similar to the htc g1 in style, coming out for verizon soon? i mean like a side-kick sort of device...in other words, will the g1 ever get an upgrade? i know there WAS a g2 but it might as well have been just any other htc phone in the sense that it was NOTHING like the g1 (no trackball, got rid of the AMAZING slide mechanism, n no hardware keyboard)...
@hoosiercub technically the Milestone is the GSM version, while the Droid is the CDMA version. But you are right, the name Droid was licensed from Lucas by Verizon for use on some of it's Andorid devices.
@johnagoub it's the successor to the Droid as far as Verizon devices are concerned, But the original Droid is made by Motorola, whereas the Incredible is made by HTC.
HTC also makes the Nexus One, with which the Incredible shares most of its specs. As such the Incredible is the successor to the Nexus One, as far as HTC devices are concerned.

@LluOukL There's not much to say about use - it's the same experience as the Nexus One (all the greatness of Android 2.1 and performance of the Snapdragon CPU) but with the gorgeous Sense UI...

That's all my tech-savvy audience needs to know. Read my blog post (linked in the video description).

asianguyfrom2012 1 year ago
@asianguyfrom2012 Nice unboxing! Here's what you can improve:
- Lighting: it was too dark. Try doing your video in daylight or use some lights.
- background: it was too cluterred. Try using a nice clean surface like a table with nothing else on it.
- Autofocus: it was turned off. Try using a camera with autofocus and/or enabel macro so closeups are in focus.
Keep it up...
