  • i bought one form neegg its a Hitachi 5400rpm 500gb sata 3.0gb/s i bought it cause it said it would work on my ps3 slim havent upgraded yet cause i have a wd ex drive & it wont work for backup but i have been readin in forums that it will with a power hub so im just waiting on that to arrive but now i hear from you that my 500gb hitachi sata 3.0gb/s wont work :(

  • What does this do exactly?

  • what screwdriver exactly did you use?

  • Hi I have a hard drive it is 5400rpm but its 3.0GB/s will anything go wrong if I try it?

  • where can i buy the hard drive for my ps3?

  • does it matter if you get the 3.0 or 6.0 gb/s hard drive? will i run into any problems? or what is the difference specificly.

  • @salvado55 The reason is covered in the full written review, link is in the video description. The PS3 does not take advantage of data transfer over 1.5GB/s. So in essence you could try but would more than likely be wasting money if you spend more for the higher transfer rate drive.

  • @GadgetMadness so its just a price matter?? oh!!! =) thank you!!!!!!! i got the old 80gb backwards compatible and its been full for a while now. thank you for answering so promptly, i apreciate it.

  • Ur video bores me sooo much am outta here

  • my hardrive fucked up. so i deleted my hardrive. while it deleted everything it also corrupted my online account. pretiges, high zombie ranks, high fifa ranks everygame that i played since 2006 got deleted.

  • So wait wat size do I have to use for my older version ps3 it's a 60gb

  • wait why does your website say "this how to should be absolutlely used by know one, and might not even work" under the warning section? wait now im lost , does it work or not?

  • @cooldarren97 That's our general disclaimer. Yes it worked for us and we detailed the process that worked for us, however we cannot be held responsible for any possible damage someone might cause to their system.

  • @cooldarren97 The fuil disclaimer reads "WARNING: We are not responsible for any lost data, damages, or errors which result in misconfiguration of your PS3 system. Replacing your hard drive could possibly void your warranty - we do not recommend voiding your warranty. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK - IF YOU BORK YOUR PS3 WE CAN NOT HELP YOU. This "how to" probably doesn't even work and should be used by absolutely no one." However, several readers have reported that this guide worked like a charm. :)

  • i really need to upgrade my drive but im new to this whole thing can you please send me a link of where you bought your external hard drive and 750 gb hard drive? thank you so much

  • i was wondering why you suggest a 1.5GB/s drive instead of 3.0Gbs. Would you know anything about a grinding noise problem? Thanks.

  • @Burn845285 The reason is covered in the full written review, link is in the video description - the PS3 does not take advantage of data transfer over 1.5GB/s.

  • where did u get the vertical stand for your ps3??

  • @mvdav10 Check our channel for the Monster TRON Powerstation 400 review. That product has a fold -out on the bottom that works as a vertical stand.

  • @GadgetMadness will this speed up download process when downloading something from the ps store?

  • @matix525 No, downloading from the PS Store would be based on your network speed.
