  • You know what this dog would love? They make little swimming vests for dogs now. My dog is like pure muscle and when we taught him to swim, he had trouble keeping his butt up, but the little life vest really helped! This pup looks like my dog did when learning to swim. So cute.

  • I think that the dog is trying to learn how to swim and get his stick back

  • Funny dog haha :P

  • Lol he doesn't use his back legs.

  • ...that looks more like almost drowning.

  • lol, doggy just wants his stick thats in the water! he is a very determined dog!

  • And he could easily get out if he wanted to.. watch the video again

  • that dog is so cute!

  • lol ;D

  • NOT FUNNY!!! especially for the dog, he is having a hard time keeping his head above water... I hope you stop it!

  • @malvasiah I have a dog that swims like this, I don't know if it's having fun or not it keeps going back in every 10 seconds so i guess it does :/

  • Comment removed

  • @malvasiah what is wrong with you. the dog clearly loves it, he's not listening to his owners who are telling him to come back. are you dim?? waaaaaaaaaaah dog is having fun wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh animal cruelty. gtfo

  • @malvasiah the dog got back on its feet, and then went back in for a swim by its own choice. its cute. not harming the dog at all

  • Probably learned to swim from humans lol.

  • Awwww....I luv this!!! Doug you are so adorable. Just having fun!!! English Bullies are the best!! Thanks for sharing this vid!!

  • he seems to enjoy it too much. LOL

  • Beautiful dog

  • AMAZING "BUFFALO SMALLER THAN DOG" WATCH NOW! SHE'S SO CUTE!!!

  • CHECK OUT "SUGAR THE BUFFALO" NOW!!!!

  • Aw Arthur! Our 11 mo. old Lab nearly did drown - she got out in the middle of a pond @ a dog park, then stopped using her back legs. Turned into a cork, and started bobbing deeper and deeper. Crowd gathered and my son had to go in after her and save her. Poor love - she's a true swimming lab now, but back then, she just wore out.

  • This is adorable !

  • "Help MEE, I think I am dwounding!" :)

  • lol

  • I personally know this dog and it's family:

    1) it's an English bulldog - NOT a fat boxer

    2) that dog LOVES swimming and can't get enough. He keeps going back on his own, and the owners never let him swim alone. Plus they are clearly showing care in the video.

    3) it's name is Doug.

    4) all you nay sayers mus tbe the most boring owners for your dogs

  • LOL

That's what you get for getting your swimming lessons at the YMCA.

  • I absolutely LOVE this video!!! Thanks for posting it.

  • LOL! He looks like he's trying to "walk" on water rather than swim. hahahaha Good doggie parents keeping close eye on him. :)

  • What pure unadulterated joy! Thanks for posting that. I completely enjoyed watching...

  • Awww that dog is having so much fun! If he didnt like it or was stressed he wouldnt voluntarily go back in by himself.

  • That dog will end up drowning.....peop;lw like you make me sick

  • @Phoenixmike100 yeah, he won't, no need to worry. We don't let him get more than 15 feet away from us, and we only let him swim when there are a few people around. You can hear her call "Arthur" at the beginning - that's me, she wanted to let me know he was going in so I could stay close. If his head ever goes under at all, we're always right there. We had him in a life-vest last year, but in two years his head hasn't gone under even once. It looks hilariously ugly, but he's fairly effective.

  • @Phoenixmike100 ..Be sure to keep all that up..She looks like a great dog Way to many people dont take cars of their animals. Thanks for responding

  • It is not a boxer. Not even a fat one. That is not the head of a boxer. It's also not a bulldog, victorian or otherwise. Way too large a dog for that.

  • @Volvican It's a Victorian Bulldog. It's my dog. I can absolutely guarantee that it's a victorian bulldog.

  • it's still cute tho :)

  • Wel...it's definitely not a seal....

It's a good boy though... yes you are....

  • Doggie gonna be OK, Uncle Lar'?

  • It sort of works for him. He has to little legs.

  • FOUR people are cats

  • LOOK MOM! I'M DOING IT! WOOOOOOOOO!

Those swimming lessons really paid off, huh? ;) Awhdorable.

  • Loves the water! How sweet! = )

  • And yet he can still swim better than me.

  • Some dogs will swim naturally and gladly but some don't. So introduce your dog to the water step by step just like you would do with a child. Bulldogs can't swim well, so they should always have a life vest on them and owner beside them. This owner clearly doesn't know about it.

  • thank you, cute dog, made my day :D

  • haha so cute.. he obviously loves being in the water and swimming, or at least trying to do so. people get so ridiculous with their comments.

  • thats not swiming thats sinking

  • herpity derp

  • I'm pretty sure that's a fat boxer, not a bulldog.

  • ANIMAL ABUSE HURR DURR

  • See, people are saying the dog is drowning. However, you fail to notice that the owner is trying to call it back to shore and it keeps going out on it's own volition.

I dont think it would keep going out willingly if the dog thought it was in danger. lol

  • if you paused at 0:30 looks like the guy in texas massacre

  • The Dog is too dense to swim!!!!

  • Bulldogs are incapable of swimming. Its a breed characteristic. Stupid owner for not knowing this.

  • @YNinja58 lol people also say that about basset hounds. YouTube "basset hound swimming" and you'll see otherwise. And clearly the dog is swimming fine....just a little unorthodox. So calm down with the name-calling kid.

  • @sliphorn323 There's a big difference between swimming and treading water. That bulldog is not swimming...he's barely staying afloat. He may like it, but bulldogs are NOT meant to be swimmers, KID.

  • @YNinja58 lol, 1) he is obviously swimming fine. Re-watch the video if you need some assurance :). 2) Have you ever seen a bulldog before? Check out the legs of this "bulldog" and then go look at a real bulldog. See a difference? I'll give you a hint....the dog in the video has much much longer legs than a bulldog. So that can help you conclude that either it is not a bulldog or it is a mix between a bulldog and another breed. Are we calm yet, or are you still having a freak-out sesh?

  • @sliphorn323 Just to stop the arguments and speculations that he's 'fat': he's a Victorian bulldog. Not an English bulldog. That's why his legs are longer.

  • @YNinja58 I just realized mishkinano suggested it is a "fat boxer" not a bulldog....He/She just might be right there. Feel free to Google "boxer" if you have not seen one before, which I'm guessing you haven't. If you also think Boxers can't swim, then also feel free to YouTube "boxer swimming". Take care kid.

  • this dog does not have webbed feet and thus is not a good swimmer

  • swimming ...ur doin it wrong

  • Dont think bulldogs are very good swimmers. lol. Still want one.

  • not sure if having fun or scared for his life

  • Dog is the best name for a dog.

  • do i hear Norm Macdonald in the background?

  • @miklothegreat I was literally going to type that just now.

  • you're dog is drowning...

  • @WakeSideLife She is dog is drowning?

  • @MrSpurrier lol

  • @WakeSideLife you are dog is drowning? wut.
