  • Ask yourself, if you were a pregnant woman about to go into labor any day (moment) and you are really ready to give birth. Would you choose that time to go out and run across a desert in that condition? NO, so they have an agenda in coming here then. It isn't a coincidence that it happened at that time in their lives. If you ever saw a "drop house" where most of them live when they first come here you would think the rats comment was appropriate. He is being framed as being angry and intolerant

  • And this guy who made that comment seems like a stereotypical texan.

  • Comment removed

  • We shoudent interfer in the affairs of third world contrys (sorry for spelling mistake) let them do it by them selfs

  • @classicmovielover2 misspelled but completely correct.

  • Honestly. Republicans really think that people who are not white Americans are not human at all.

  • @BeautyBoyTV I used to work for O.I.C. and one of our lead counselors gave a speech that woke me up. He asked all the students who they thought the government hated. He said no when someone answered to any race that was suggested and asked, "Now, can anyone answer?" I said, "Poor people!", he replied that was exactly right. Because the majority of minorities don't transcend their financial requirements to join in the Rich Old White Club but some minorities with money who want to be a tokens.can.

  • @BeautyBoyTV The rules WERE THAT you have to be a Rich White Male to be in the club. Now you just have to be Rich and not have any political correctness or social awareness.

  • Don#t you get it? Logic has nothing to do with what any republican or most Dems say they want. Oh yea, sorry, there's always the logic of gettin' paid.

  • it's christians that breed like rats

  • Do liberals want ANY restrictions of immigration? And if so what?

  • @oodlesofosz Most do, but very liberal restrictions, i.e. the kind that make it easy for people to immigrate and then integrate themselves into the country and culture by offering low-income housing and good pubic education, as well as affordable health-care and affordable basic necessities like food and utilities and other commodities.

Do conservatives want ANY restrictions of bankers/hedge funds or the financial industry in general? And if so what?

  • @oodlesofosz It is completely ridiculous for people who are here illegally to expect free healthcare, and if people come here illegally and get pregnant as a scheme to stay here or become citizens that is horrible and should be totally illegal. I wasn't aware of the "anchor-baby" phenomenon before now, but it sickens me. And I'm fairly liberal, and think it should be relatively easy for people to immigrate. But to use a fetus as a loophole for healthcare or citizenship is evil & parasitic.

  • @D119heavy Thanks for your response. I wasn't trying to be dogmatic or anything it was a legitimate question. It just seems that libs like Ana seem to want to bend laws to suit their agenda so much that they dont stand for anything on the issue. The whole "cant we all just get along and hold hands" stance is pathetic.

  • @D119heavy The problem is that people who haven't had to deal with them don't realize they are parasites. If you set Cenk Uygur down and asked him, "So Cenk, when did your parents come here illegally?" he would be appalled and angry. His parents immigrated here legally and weren't criminals who escaped justice in another country but most illegals are. We aren't getting Mexico's cream of the crop. They are the ones who lower everyone's standard of living by trying to make poverty acceptable.

  • @oodlesofosz The fact remains that people like the Young Turks (Cenk specifically), whose parents came here legally, by the way, don't understand THE BIG LIE. The lie is that these felons want to be Americans. They merely want someone to take advantage of. Every culture brings some positive things about their culture. The Mexican nationals want to turn your neighborhood into the ghetto slum barrios they came from. They come from a corrupt country where legal means paying the police.

  • @oodlesofosz Don't categorize ALL LIBERALS. Some Republicans are pro illegal aliens. George W. likes them. I think the illegals should be detained in a huge prison camp in the desert and be Sheriff Joe's prisoners to work for Maricopa County. The point is, they need to be treated like the felons they are, not given rights like a citizen because they didn't come here to become Americans. The ones who come here are Mexico's lowest form of people. They are an insult to real immigrants.

  • @azmildman

That sounds a bit like what the Nazis did, are you thinking this through?

And yes, I agree with them being an insult to actual immigrants who come here for honest work, under honest pretenses.

  • You do realize that the Republicans in congress that make the most noise about illegals usually hire them to work for them, right? We need to place restrictions on the people who harbor them and the people who hire them to work here. They are bringing down unions and collective bargaining and the right of individuals to work in some fields that we Americans were doing before they came here. This is what happens when you let third world country people live in America. Soon we will be one, also.

  • The most realistic solution is to apply US Foreign Aid subsidies for immediate emergency deportations of all pregnant female ILLEGAL ALIEN Foreign Nationals in the US back to nations of their Sovereign Foreign Citizenship with in transit medical care until they are turned over to Government Officials in each of their respective Countries to receive medical treatment within their own Home Countries which is the RESPONSIBILITY of each of their own Sovereign Home Nations & NOT at US Tax expense

  • The other alternative is for both of those pompous arrogant smug news commentators to each work 96 hour jobs a week for their entire Lives, both live in boxes instead of pay rent or buy a house, stand on street corners pan handling for money to buy food to the point of near starvation, wear cloths from charity & give all money in their possession including their entire Life savings to the total welfare education medical needs & criminal attorney fees including bail for all ANCHOR BABIES forever

  • @HAL9000Intelligence you idiots that preach utter hate for brown people disgust me!!

  • You are another HYPOCRITE who uses some bizarre& immature childish accusations of racism against any people who respect all Law Abiding REAL immigrants& who understand that all ILLEGAL ALIEN Foreign Nationals are NOT REAL immigrants in any way shape form or definition. You should pay for the entire WELFARE of every ANCHOR BABY born in the US from an ILLEGAL ALIEN parent until you are a poor poverty stricken bumb living on streets to guarantee you will devote your entire Life to ANCHOR BABIES

  • For anyone here on this debate that really wants to solve a unregulated immigration policy-by definition it is not regulated. Corporations/big business have hired hotel cleaning staff, cooks, field workers, car washers, janitors, etc. undocumented, not "illegal" because if it was then business are acomplices in "illegal" business practices. It is cheap labor. News flash: corporations/big business don't care about demographic shifts, only satisfying stock holders and increased quarterly profits.

  • @1pocho3000 That is exactly right and when you have the laws enforced the way they are written, then you have Joe Arpaio. Undocumented means they lost their papers, these people committed a felony that we would get shot and killed for trying in Mexico. You are correct about corporations not caring about anything but profit. And I live in Arizona where all the resorts, all the construction that is still going on, and most manual labor is being done at slave wages by illegals.

  • @azmildman It is interesting how you blame "illegals" for working here(I'm third generation so I'm not talking about me or my family). But do the businesses and corporations have any responsibility for hiring "undocumented" workers? Have you ever heard about the American companies that advertise in Mexico about job opportunities in various U.S. states? Look it up as it is true. You must know, or should, that our immigration policy is dictated by big business who buy off politicians

  • @1pocho3000 I agree that we need to get rid of fat cat agendas altogether in the U.S. including all the Foreign Trade Agreements like NAFTA. I have a lot of friends who are legal immigrants here and I love them being here. THEY are the fabric America is made of. The American Companies that advertise in Mexico should be forced to say that they are only hiring legal immigrants (we have plenty) and be regulated into enforcing it. Most all Arizona resort businesses are staffed with illegal labor.

  • @azmildman Someone who actually looks past the hype the deliberately and strategically divides people, yet doesn't ever touch the surface & root cause of the issue. And who says intelligent debate doesn't occur on-line! When you count the amount of pregnant women who do this it's a drop in a bucket, or maybe a sea compared to the hundreds of thousands of "undocumented" immigrants from all over the world. who get hired by big & small businesses-that is the root issue

  • @1pocho3000 Teenagers used to have summer jobs here, there was always "part time work" and pickup manual labor jobs for people who were unemployed. It is now either farmed out to the Coyotes who bring in slave farms busloads of illegals or they hire them directly and pay them in cash everyday. The young people here have resorted to doing things like selling candy door to door and phone sales just to have a job since all the low paying unskilled jobs for unemployed or young people are gone.

  • @HAL9000Intelligence Regardless of what side of this debate you are on, why don't you blame the corporations for lobbying (buying off) the political system to create a system where undocumented blue collar workers and white collar visa immigrant workers (mostly from China & India) flood the work force by DESIGN (deliberate) for all the work that can't be outsourced to these countries. If you want to blame someone, you should 1st look at big business who dont care about USA

  • listen moron, as a country, we have the right to say who can come and who cant. if we dont, then we are not a nation

  • @hint0122

Sure, I've got no problem with that. What I have a problem with is the insults being thrown about. For a start, most aren't "illegal" as people can seek asylum under international law. Secondly, they are often treated guilty before hand, treated as terrorists and so on.

There should be a control on immigration, but there should also be humanity in treating the people in the mean time.

  • @bersaba illegal immigrants are invaders to our country. I can see asylum and suport it but you know there is much fraud with that. The usa cant take everyone. we should worry about our own first. there are people of every race and religion in the usa that need help we dont need to be worrying about taking every other countrys trash. its not like doctors are jumping the border.

  • doesnt mean that people should get a free ride just because they were born here.

  • what’s not humane about deporting them? you are the problem. We have laws as a country saying who can get in. if you break those laws, you should be punished, NOT rewarded.

  • i would do it just to show the little punks

  • C SPAN “Black Republican Forum” Session 2 (begin at 11:30) Allen West said one of the 1986 caveats was to secure our borders and enforcement our laws, but haven’t happened. (We’re still talking about new amnesty like DREAM Act.) We can’t allow local cities to make sanctuary cities policies, because they will bring our inner city turf wars to epic proportions by bringing in the drug cartel and Columbian gangs. (Mexican Gangs don’t recognize our borders established by the Treaty of Guadalupe)

  • In November 2010, the unemployment rate was 9.8% with 15.1 million unemployed. (15.1 million/9.8%) = 154 million are able to work in the workforce. 11,941,812 (or 11.9 million) skilled jobs provided to illegal immigrants. GOOGLE “illegal immigration counters”, the 15.1 million unemployed could take the 11.9 million available jobs. The unemployment rate could be reduced to 2.1% {{15.1-11.9)/154}

  • All i want is one obama supporter to name one good thing hes done. As the country is in depression hes living it up vacation after vacation. How disconnected these people are. People are having money troubles more then ever and this guys running off to vacation after vacation. All bought and paid for by the debt of the american middle class. They tax and take money from us to pay for new shit when the debt is still rising. How about no more spending on anything new we dont fucking want it assholes

  • @67DieHardPatriot454 Though I fear we may not have the same definition of "good", I am willing to give it a try :

    - credit card reform

    - Matthew Sheppard hate crimes prevention act

    - new GI bill

    - Lily Ledbetter fair pay act

    - children's health insurance

    - "don't ask don't tell" repeal

I know you only asked for one good thing but I threw in a couple more just in case.

  • @Mirea1986 and they helped the country and not special intrests how?

  • @utubecenseorstruth

Credit card Reform: prohibits many of the "surprise costs" of credits cards and forces credits card companies to warn customers before interests increase (2/3 of Americans are credit card users)

MS Hate Crimes Prevention Act: helps ensure that nobody in the US is discriminated against (or victimized) because of gender or sexual orientation (5% of Americans are gay)

  • @Mirea1986 on credit card reform people just need to be responsible, also with 5% of americans are gay and 95% are not why concern ourselves with pandering to the few. Many hate crimes are commited against white people yet rarely considered like the jena 6, knoxville horror and so forth.

  • @utubecenseorstruth The average American household has over $10,000 in credit-card debt, with high interests and surprise costs accumulating monthly. Though individual financial responsibility is a great thing and should be promoted, experience has now proven that when credit card companies tell people (including white, heterosexual, male Christians) "don't worry, you'll pay for it later on", people tend not to read the fineprint. And bankruptcy ensues.

  • @Mirea1986 you have a point on this one, but there is such a thing as personal responsibility. I have worked in finance and it is amazing how irresponsible people can be. I have had morons blame me for their gambling addictions because they were approved from a credit card.

  • As for hate crimes laws, white people are not excluded from them. The 2009 MS Hate Crimes Prevention Act did not narrow down the scope of US hate crime laws to gay people; it expanded it to include them (among others, including disabled people who may very well be white, heterosexual, male and Christians) and abandonned the prerequisite that the victim be engaging in a federally protected activity (i.e. voting, attending school, etc.) when attacked.

  • 1/5 of all identified and prosecuted hate crimes have white victims. You may feel like this percentage fails to represent the reality of the crimes commited against white people (I have to say I disagree with you on that) but the thing is that it is quite hard to prove a crime was motivated by hatred or enmity against a whole class of people. No sensible DA will go to court with a hate crime case s/he thinks is not watertight.

  • @Mirea1986 i know how das are. In delaware there was a case were a negro woman stabbed a white man in the back for calling her the n word. I dont agree with that but that is his right and she should have been charged with man slaughter in the least

  • Furthermore, I doubt the Founding Fathers would, retrospectively, regret the promulgation of the separation between Church and State. Nor would they, in my opinion, give priority to judeo-christian values (no matter what these may be). The reason why many of the white, heterosexual, male Christians Pilgrims came to America in the first place was to escape religious discrimination in their own WHMCs-dominated, judeo-christian-values-promoting countries.

  • The Founding Fathers knew that any country that promotes one set of religious beliefs/principles over all others was bound to become the stage for discrimination and alienation. They were certain of it because they knew of the English Dissenters. So the idea that they would change their minds on that seems very counterintuitive to me.

  • Furthermore, I doubt the founding fathers would have a problem with modern laws. One of them famously wrote that "all men are created equal". Though the phrase is not without irony given said forefather's slave ownership, I fail to see how legislation passed to enforce that principle, to make sure than nobody believes it is OK to target individuals because of the "class" they belong to, could possibly upset any of the American revolutionaries.

  • @Mirea1986 i 100% disagree here. When jefferson wrote that he meant all white men. is that right? of course not but that is the fact. Just like no establishment of religion. I am sure they would have rethought that had they been alive today. IF any of them were alive today there are two things they would do. one establish freedom of christian and jewish relgions in the us. The other is go back in their own time and tell everyone to pick their own cotton

  • @utubecenseorstruth I have no doubt many of the Founding Fathers had mostly white males in mind when they came up with the idea of equality. Fortunately, society has changed (progressed?) since the 1770s. We have come to realize that humanity is not limited by skin colour, gender, religion or any other secondary traits. We can now assert that "all humans are created equal", following in the forefathers' footsteps and reaching levels of comprehension their cultural backgrounds did not allow.

  • New GI Bill: endeavours to pay modern veterans' college fees in the same way the 1944 GI Bill did (since 9/11, over 1 million troops have been deployed)

Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act: helps women file an equal-pay lawsuit regarding pay discrimination (50.7% of Americans are women)

Children's health insurance: forbids insurance company to deny coverage to children with pre-existing conditions (about 20,000 children used to be denied yearly)

DADTl Repeal: cf. MS Hate Crimes Prevention Act

  • @Mirea1986 like i said if you think of it these are all speciali intrests, notice nothing benefits, white, hetrosexual, male christians. I believe in live and let live, but liberals tend to pander to people who our founders are spinning in their graves even are walking around the country let alone voting.

  • @67DieHardPatriot454

Go to factcheck org and look up President Obama’s Vacation Days. According to them (and their sources) Obama has taken fewer then Bush, Regan, Bush (H. W).

As for "one good thing he's done", that depends if you agree with his political stance. I'm sure there's many a democrate that think Obama Care, repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell, and so on are "good things". That becomes personal opinion, though.

  • Obama hasn't changed or created any hope. Theres just the idiots that blindly follow and refuse to believe our first black president is going to be a puppett like all the rest. A face people like to jam shit down there throat. This way people think hes doing right by them as he sticks it up there asses. Just because hes black. No different then bush but no obama supporter will ever admit that. They will say the same bullshit obama says. Just repeat shit they heard having no thoughts of there own

  • thats the kind of nutjob liberal america hating bullshit they preach on here. This guy is sinicle and i think he hates america. He love obama just because hes black theres no other reason. Obama blames it all on bush well guess what obama you didn't inherit anything you ran for it wanted it more than anything and you won. Now that you haven't done anything you said you were going to you say its because you inheritted bushes mess. What fucking bullshit people are filled with what a joke.

  • it wasn't always this way. people didn't have kids and then have others saying they were entitled to free health benefits to a country they aren't even a citizen of or in legally.People used to actually take responsibility and think before they spoke and did things. Look at it from that POV instead of there brainwashed baby killer phycho perspective. Bottom line is they are here illegally, citizens dont even get free health benefits but some how they should because your not pro life if you dont.

  • its our fault and we should have to pay when our country is already in debt and we dont even get free child birth. ITs our fault there baby might be born with an illness and they might not be as healthy.I am sick and tired of the worlds problems being made mine. Idiots like these live in a fantasy land and really think there right but are so delusional and retarded they cant even see it.Guess what people are born everday and we dont have to pay for it everytime and they dont die or get a disease

  • then these young turk retards try to create things that aren't there. What does prolife have to do with people not wanting to pay for illegals who take advantage of our health care failure. So they take that and say well you want people to die and you condone infant death. No they dont it doesn't mean they are going to die if we dont pay for it it means they will have to pay for it or dont have kids. What a joke spell your bullshit out for someone else. You people are insane.

  • The constitution doesn't apply to people that aren't citizens its due to stupid laws that we spend millions on there child birth. They get pregnant in mexico and then they come here to get a paid for birth. So something was said that wasn't in good taste. To fucking bad ok get over it. That dont make it ok for you idiots to lie and hide the truth. My thoughts are illegials shouldn't be able to have a free birth. We look after outsiders more then our own. Thats ok to people like these.

  • Republican... Should have known. Ridiculous semantics!! Pregnant women don't get medical attention... the unborn child does! So what are they gonna do, slip into her uterus and talk directly to the fetus so as to avoid dealing with the woman? DICKHEADS!! If the baby is a citizen, it's the MOTHER that has to be looked after. No mom, no baby! Multiply like rats... What a prick.

  • we could just deport the mother. he did not just diss first generation americans. He is saying that vermin here illegally should not be. Do you ragheads agree with that. Get some patriotism

  • @utubecenseorstruth Nobody here is a raghead, you ill-informed fuckclown.

Though with a username like "utubecenseorstruth", I suppose there isn't much capacity for intelligent and reasonable thinking in that pea-brain of yours with all of the racism clouding it and strangling your neurons.

    Get fucked.

  • @H4lfTruths what should we do? let them invade and mooch off our country. If no one there is muslim then I am sorry for the rag head reference. Bottom line is the majority of americans dont want them here. Oh and i know racism is the cry you love, but i am mixed race.

  • @utubecenseorstruth Calling somebody a "raghead" isn't racist, then? Pardon me.

And like being mixed race automatically disqualifies everything you say as being racist? Fuck outta here.

  • @H4lfTruths raghead is not racist. It is a response against people who murdered americans of all races on 9/11.

not everyone who disagrees with illegal immigration and birthright citizenship is racist. I would introduct and illegal europeon to mr Glock ( if open season was allowed) just as quick as a mexican

  • @utubecenseorstruth Nah, I get the feeling you wouldn't. You wouldn't do anything outside of be a passive coward.

It is most certainly a racist term. Wouldn't expect anything less from the mind who categorizes all muslims as the same caliber even though there's around a hundred or so notable extremists compared to the billions of muslims in the world.

    You stay classy, San Diego.

  • @H4lfTruths passiave coward? I dont advocate violence, but i would die to protect the country i love and may have to against people like this illegal vermin and peoplw who support them. And you are right. I do know muslims that are really good people and patriots and i should not have said raghead. I was just pissed that honorary americans would lecture us on how to run things in america. My family has been here since 1801

  • @utubecenseorstruth Glad you're at least reasonable. Don't let the actions of the few tarnish the many.

  • @H4lfTruths Ooh i am far from being soft on illegals, but a muslim friend of mine reminded me of christian attrocities. he is from egypt. He said the christians ( copiac i think) get along great and everyone there is cool with each other instead of trying to kill each other in most of the places

  • are you drunk? the Coptic Christians are treated like shit there

  • @InhabitantOfGalaxy they breed like roaches because our government takes care of them .

what dont the damn liberals take care of them instead of picking my pocketr

  • Comment removed

  • But the people who voted him in LOVE it. LOVE THAT he feels this way. He is in congress BECAUSE the people that voted him there. HE IS A REPRESENTATIVE. And THAT is whats wrong with this country, that plenty of folks agree with him. So unborn children are one thing when speaking of abortion...thank you Ana.

  • just telling it like it is

    how can that be wrong

  • and of course he's a Republican ! lol fucking epic

  • So what you are saying is that if I , as a US citizen have a baby, I have a f@cking huge medical bill to pay......stage 1-if you come here illegally and have a baby, the woman can make the "CITIZENS" have to pay the bill? stage 2-And of course, since it is an infant and can't care for itself, the illegal parents HAVE to stay here in America to take care of the baby. ....stage 3-of course the parent will only be able to get low wage jobs...stage 4-welfare!!

  • One solution immigration reform and free education and free health care for people in this nation, EVEN ILLEGALS. be reasonable people, this Rep. Todd is a racist bastard!!! Boot him out of office NOW!!! PERIOD!!!

  • Why can't we just put them on buses and drive them back over the border before they give birth?Americans have a hard enough time getting health care.Last thing we need is these bastard anchor babies driving up costs.

  • according to the law, the ER has to take people in.

  • @hint0122

Yea in an emergency. So drive them across the border before they go in labor.

  • Why does everyone hate Ben? WTF

  • @SilentEcho33 BEN 10

  • @LobsterPotsticker lmao i love that show..but how is that relevant?

  • Please fire yourself, Ben. Ana was absolutely right.

  • @hitheresunshine

    Yeah that's what I mean... :P

thanks 4 correcting me I guess.

  • Americans are dying because illegal's are using up millions in health care resouces .

  • @hanksnow82

Cite before you post. Otherwise your post is worthless.

  • @christiangoth84 google ( politics for average people ) Illegal Immigration: How much does it cost?

  • @hanksnow82 how much does it cost?????

not even 1/4th of what it costs to keep our troops in the middle east half a day lol!

  • @LobsterPotsticker It is estimated that illegals suck 100 billion dollars (approx) out of the US taxpayers each year . The Congressional Budget Office says we have averaged a 100 billion a year on the Iraq war over the last 8 years . (not including Afghanistan ) So the cost is much higher than most relize . How about we get out of both wars and kick the illegals out the country ?

  • old set was better

  • When are we going to get rid of people like that guy in our country?

That is the only way we will ever become worthy of survival. This country has to start the deportations of assholes ASAP.

  • So much for the tea party's mantra of "don't say what we're all thinking".

Anchor babies don't work like most people think since they have to grow up to be 18 years old until the parents can consider citizenship through their children.

  • What a goddamn asshole.

  • I think the Rep. is a clown to say the least for saying what he did, but there has to be some kind of check, so that the children of illegal immigrants grow up to be good citizens.

If the children of illegal immigrants were given citizenship on completing a college degree from a US college, it would better. This would motivate the parents to keep the kids in school instead of producing future gang-bangers.

  • Does the representative from Tennessee realize that if his views, if they were to become law (denying care to pregnant women because of a legal definition of being a citizen) is abhorrent to any civilized country that recognizes basic human rights?

If you are a Republican, how can you back this viewpoint?

  • @Menak666 First, you take care of yourself, then you take care of your family and lastly you take care of the rest. You can't force people to help other people if they don't want to. Once someone has taken care of himself/herself and his/her family then they will most likely help other, but what makes you think that you can force others into pay for someone who they have no relationship with?

  • This dumb-ass comes by this honestly, let's not forget that the state of Tennessee gave us the Klan.

  • @icedbannanas read pro-abortion debates, I can't remember the last time a pro-abortion person DIDN'T use that terminology when talking about my claim that human life starts at conception. I ask them when it starts for them, and they claim it is only a parasite until it can be taken out of the mother.

The point is that this news report, is talking about how we need to have care given for the child, like it is a human right. If it is a human right, then why doesn't it have a right to life?

  • @amyforlife "...jobs you probably think you're too good to do." What presumptive arrogance, and by one who, no less, has never worked a sweat and blood job before, nor seen their jobs taken away illegals. You're also addressing the extremely narrow segment of payrolled illegals with false soc's; not the majority who work for straight cash and pay no taxes whatsoever. Your views simply don't fit with actual expenditures.

  • @thereinliestherib I am not sure if I get what your saying exactly but it seems to me that you are placing the sole blame for illigals taking your jobs aon them and not the employers who hire them.

  • His argument and analogy was foolish, but don't act as if you don't understand where this overall sentiment stems from. The problem of individuals crossing the border, pregnant or with the intention to become pregnant, to assure their citizenship IS an issue and has to be dealt with. His approach and attitude toward it is all wrong but again, don't pretend like you don't understand where at least some of that mentality comes from.

  • @Jay20782 Are you talking about anchor babies? That's a myth.

  • @maradona2 A myth would be the boogieman. These are factual occurrences.

  • @Jay20782 For the so called "anchor babies" to petition for their parents' legal status they have to be over 21 years old, and it takes about 10 years, IF their parents are lucky to adjust their status. So it takes about 31 or more years, the last amnesty was given 2 decades ago, can you do the math? It's a myth.

  • @maradona2 Blah blah and more blah. The baby is a citizen as it is born on US soil. The federal gov't doesn't have a policy of removing the non-citizen parents and allowing the infant citizen to stay. Myth? Boogieman? Uhh yeah.

  • @Jay20782 Yes I never said that the babies are illegals. But what Republicans say is that they want to get rid of the 14th amendment, because they think that illegals come here to have a child in U.S soil to make their path easier to citizenship. That is the myth.

  • @Jay20782 Yes I do understand his sentement .This is a problem that must be adressed.I think the problem comes in when people adress the problem in this manner and the people on his side defend him yet demonize the other side for roughly the same thing. The fact is we need to get rid of these kinds of A holes so that reasnable people can have a convorsation.Unfortunatly we are going the other way and letting the wing nuts run the show

  • @chrisgalizia Thank you. That was my point.

  • @romanmir01 For the fact everyone was one and they are going to be paying for you when you become old? I dunno about you but without children, humans are gonna die out pretty damn fast. And children are small and they are defenseless.

  • @BornConfusing so what does that matter that 'everyone was one'? Just because I was one I am supposed to care about other children who are not even related to me for some reason?

Also I wasn't born in Canada, I don't live there now, I lived in US, Europe and Asia. I am very 'global' that way.

Also the fact that humans are going to die out is not lost on me. Humans ARE going to die out, they will die out eventually so it doesn't really matter precisely when that happens.

  • @romanmir01 You are a cold, heartless man

  • @BornConfusing you have a problem with that?

  • @Menak666 My point is not that, my point is that why would anybody care about children that at least is not their own? I am with George Carlin on this one: fuck the children. Fuck the fucking bastards and the fucking parents they rode in on.

If it's my own child - then I care. If it's your child - I totally don't. Your child is your responsibility.

  • Comment removed

  • @romanmir01 Why should you care? You're in Canada!

  • @BornConfusing Well caring doesn't have boundaries. Neither do opinions. So just go with it and have fun. Comment borders. rarely change opinions and rarely help craft policy.

I prefer to be civil to my fellow man regardless of where they come from.

  • @romanmir01 Kids are the future, Kids are fantastic. I know this sounds really crazy but. You were a fucking baby at one point. And I guarantee. There were adults looking out for YOU. Whether it was keeping an eye out, or lobbying for policy that would create a safe, secure and open environment for you to grow and learn in.

That's what most civilized and prosperous societies do. So contrary to your belief that you're some kind of super kid that raised yourself. You are not.

  • @shawakwak Sure there were adults looking out for me. My parents.

I don't want anybody to lobby for any policy for me or anybody else. Fuck safety. I'd rather see ingenuity and curiosity than safety any time. Somebody said here: humans are going to die out without children.

WTF do we even need humans for at all, if all they care about is safety and not curiosity? Fuck safety and fuck humans if that's all they care about.

Also fuck children and especially fuck someone else's children.

  • @GJNCA "sense of what is supposedly "compassion"!"

I didn't see your reply here, but better late then never. What I am talking about primarily has to do with purpose, justification, and effectiveness. There is no justification in placing a burden on our citizens through this one service when there has been no serious effort to end the problem anywhere else. It's about leeching some more money from actual citizens, and discouraging them from using the service.

  • Here's a proposal:

Whenever any illegal immigrants are found to be working for a company in the US, the company pays a fine equivalent to the cost of one pre-natal care visit. Making the companies hiring illegal immigrants pay for the care of the illegal immigrants who are pregnant. Fiscal problem solved!

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 that would require you to acknowledge that they have status in America. Are you sure you want to go down that road? The best thing to do is create a temporary work situation and tax them.

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88

Brilliant idea. Since it's all about the money to the people who hire them, hit 'em where it hurts. In the money.

They should also pay for housing and all that jazz.

  • @Menak666 I don't think anyone should be trusted with anything, whether its a Giant Corporation or Mother Theresa. Ultimately, the only trustworthy thing is the truth itself and its irrelevant from who or where that truth comes from. But which 'lax regulations' in healthcare are you talking about? The healthcare industry is haemorrhaging with Criminal Government Regulations; The FDA, AMA, Insurance prohibitions, etc, all reducing quality and increasing prices and all installed by Government

  • GOP POS.

  • Comment removed

  • @Menak666 If I want to be a Guinea Pig for potentially deadly drugs, then thats my choice, not the Governments. I own my body, not them. Think of how many people have died because the FDA wouldn't permit sick people to take the 'risk' of consuming a drug that could have otherwise saved their lives. The FDA are murderers. Of course, if someone sells you 'snake oil', then that is an act of fraud, and the perpetrator should be brought to justice. But that goes for any product, not just medicine

  • what's with all the hard core right wing ads next to TYT vids? lol

  • @ftpolkman i knovv i think that too sometimes

  • @dEdGrimley But they're not voting for something different, they're voting for what started the problem in the first place, so it's going two steps back

  • @whip111 funny i was thinking the same about you just a minute ago. hopefully you can liberate yourself of your own ignorance :)

  • @Menak666

Don't be silly. The amendment (to the 14th) that everyone wants is this: you are a US citizen if and only if at least one of your parents is a US citizen, or if and only if you are naturalized. Nobody is arguing that the government should have open-ended power to declare who is a citizen and who isn't. Lol.

I don't think you understand what 'anchor baby' means. The baby anchors the mother, because nobody wants to split up a family.

  • j17avil - I do not argue with emotional children. God bless you and may you someday gain wisdom and knowledge. Hopefully, before it is too late.

  • @twk373

    2) It does not. And in fact, a U.S. Birthright citizen can't sponsor their parents until they're 21 anyway. In either case, there are more effective ways of handling immigration.

    3) It's not "significant" relative to everything else putting strain on our health care system. Furthermore, your solution just doesn't follow (is a non sequitur). An easier solution could be to make immigration easier so they are paying into the system. Requiring Mexico to pay "tribute" just doesn't follow.

  • @JonathanM00r3

    2) Of course it does. Birthright citizenship gives the parents leverage to remain in the country, even if we don't want them here. The alternative is to break up the family; who wants that? Obviously we need other immigration safeguards, but this should obviously be the first. Slavery is long dead. There is absolutely no reason or benefit for keeping birthright citizenship.

    3) I was being a little hyperbolic. Sue me. But the strain is in fact significant.

  • @twk373

    2) Respectfully disagree with your solution.

    3) It's hard to notice that with texts.

  • @twk373

    1) The pro-choice position does not rest on the legal status of unborn children. It refers specifically to the role of the state in deciding questions relating to women's health. It has been decided that the state does not have the right to decide such matters. Roe v. Wade has nothing to do with whether unborn children are citizens. So, your initial argument is incorrect (it did not destroy the actual argument for the pro-choice position) and your second argument is a red herring.

  • @JonathanM00r3

You are simply mistaken. The argument put forward is that unborn children in the US are considered citizens and deserve medical attention. While Roe v. Wade is framed in terms of the mother, the obvious and intended effect is that unborn children have their rights as citizens (e.g., the right to not be put to death except as determined by a jury of their peers) trampled on.

This is flatly inconsistent with the pro-choice position. You can't have it both ways.

  • @twk373

Just so people are clear about the ACTUAL argument. Here is the language of the guidance letter the woman was referring to:

    0620-05-01-.02 ELIGIBILITY.

    (1) Citizenship.

    (a) Children must be citizens of the United States or persons designated as

qualified aliens under 8 U.S.C. 1642 as applied to programs under Title XXI of

the Social Security Act by federal law including 42 C.F.R. 457.320(b)(6)....

  • @JonathanM00r3

...Notwithstanding any language to the contrary, CoverKids will grant eligibility to

an unborn child whose mother is either an undocumented alien or a permanent

resident alien who has not resided in the United States in that status for at

least five years, to the extent that such coverage is mandated by the United

States Department of Health and Human Services.

It doesn't actually grant unborn children citizenship.

  • Stop men from having sex=no pregnant women!

  • i'm all for giving them medical care, but you can't just let them die in the streets. have we lost all decency?

  • @grnbbllntrck Place the blame on their parents and let them die in the streets. No more damned "anchor babies"! Mexico WILL NOT let Americans have babies on their soil and automatically make them citizens - why the fuk should we? Fuk Mexico and fuk Mexicans!

  • @Whip111 wow. you are such a good person. that's exactly what i want outside of my hospital, dead people. it's good to know that we live in the 21st century.

  • @grnbbllntrck If they stay in their own country, they can die outside their own hospitals. They are of no use to this country, if they were, we would invite them here. Instead, they come to rape, rob and blunder and fools like yourself have sympathy for them. Wait til you can't take your own children to the hospital because it is over run with these rats, or your hospital goes belly up because of these rats. Or do you prefer having your children die outside your hospital?

  • @Whip111; I live in ohio, i'll never have that problem. and the point is they are humanbeings. you can't just not treat people and let them die in the streets. that's grotesque. If they are illegal i don't want them here as much as you do, but at least have a heart.

  • @grnbbllntrck Ohio is not isolated from these rats. California is bankrupt in a large part due these illegal vermin and Ohio is in the same line if they believe that we should have a heart. California is not far from NOT being able to keep hospitals open to deliver American babies, let alone illegal rodents. When Mexico allows my people the same goodies we give theirs, then I might grow a heart.

  • @Whip111 mexicans will stop coming over when when your lazy ass wants to pick your own froot.

  • @lazswestcoast I don't only PICK my own FOOD, I also grow much of it. And your lazy rat ass wouldn't have to pick my FRUIT, if you had an education that included spelling lessons. Further, I have worked picking fruit, chopping cotton, baling hay and chopping tobacco. The reason you rats are doing these deeds is because farmers/corporations want larger profits and so use your kind. If you all are worth a shit, why is your country destroyed? You can't blame that one on Whitey.

  • @Whip111 Die, you scum.

  • @GTR66960 Why do you people resort to insults when you have no argument? It is said that it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth, (or, in this case, type) and remove all doubt.

  • I wonder if that's what the Native Americans think of us? All immigrants are rats. This senator needs an education and fast.

  • @Menak666: I full heartedly agree. The illegal immigration is a byproduct of allowing large scale violations of labor lawin order to turn a buck. The other real problem is Mexico. Mexico has maximum tax on individuals that taps out at 28% (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Mexico has some of the wealthiest people on earth with some of the worst income disparity. If you taxed Carlos Slim alone at the 35% rate we have in US vs. the 28% Mexico caps at you're talking about $490M 1guy

  • I think the real issue here is the readiness of people in our own government to dehumanize other human beings. Saying they multiply like rats, calling them "illegal aliens", they're all forms of dehumanization.

They're illegal immigrants, and they're human too.

We should just deport them. No jail. Just sending them back.

  • @hitheresunshine

People in our own government are very ready to dehumanize anyone who's rich or runs a successful business.
