  • Wow that tree of all the locks is ridiculous! I've never seen anything like that. I enjoyed getting a look into that museum. In America, there is a wide range of levels of surreptitiousness, but overall I think Russians are far more superstitious.

  • @Splifftasticity

while we were preparing this video we tryed to know the answer, but you know that there is no answer to this question)))

    every nation has it's believes.

  • Very true. In my family we have a superstition, such as "one should not cut his/her finger or toe nails at night because something bad might happen next day." I still do not understand why, but i guess that's why it's called superstition. Great video, good job!

  • @MrTurganov

thanks. you know, mayby we believe in superstition because we still do not understand their meaning))))

My mom is Russian and grew up there, so she follows all kinds of old Russian superstitions, like forbidding me to whistle in the house, or making me look at myself in the mirror before I leave if I forgot something and had to come back into the house. Do you have any superstitions you follow at home?

  • @AnnaMelnik1

the book "Мастер и Маргарита" really has it's own mistical spirit. by the way, have you watched the film after the book?

this museum is worth to see, I'm sure you'll like it.

about superstitions which we follow at home...well, yes, I believe that every family has it's superstition, as for mine, for example when we are going to leave home and go somewhere more than for one day, we have a so called

  • @GermanovaJulia

Anastasiya Vertinskaya is actually one of my mother's favorite actresses and she plays the role of Margarita in the movie.

  • To my mind many people still follow some of them. Foe example 1 found 1 interesting fact in the internet. When someone sneezes, don’t forget to say, “Bud’ zdorov” (Be healthy) or “Na zdorovie” (For your health) or Bless you. Otherwise the sneezing person will get sick. I think 99% of Russians think this “na zdorovie” thing is just a tradition. But actually it’s a superstition which meaning was forgotten long ago.

  • Those are all very interesting and fun superstitions - do you think many people still follow them or just a few?

The cat is so nice!!!

The tree owns itself and the land 10 feet around it.

  • @anakattack
