Smoke and steam are quite good conductors of electricity, in these conditions it's maybe not such a great idea for the Fire Fighters to be standing under powerlines spraying water around...
@kshep89 i just did my first training day with the RFS on saturday and we were under powerlines practicing with the hoses, and my captain said normaly when theres a fire we stay clear of powerlines cause smoke is a great conductor and can easily arc. so yea ur right
