I think this video is beautifully made and great job on capturing the beauty and diversity of America. If I were to live outside of America, this video would have made me want to travel. kudos.
i just bought my very first dlsr yesterday, it's a t2i also, and after spending the whole day trying to figure it out, im nervous about its abilities, but if you really shot this with that cam then i have high hopes! =] i'm just intimidated by all its complexities i guess
PLEASE! make videos on how to create amazing images like these! or just how to WORK the settings that could make them. even 2min videos every now and then would be extremely helpful to alot of people!
There are tons and tons of tutorials on the internet showing you how to create amazing images like these. Just search up basic dslr 550d tutorial, and they will show you how to work the aperture, iso, exposure, and etc.
My tip to you on how i made this video look nice is: Use a flat picturestyle setting (cinestyle) and color correct in post production(after effects/premiere)
I used Magic Bullet Mojo on this. Just ask me any questions, and ill try my best to answer them!
Hello could you please help i have a 550D when i shoot in low lights my vids turn out very fuzzy i have the standerd lens, would be grateful if i got a responce
@mrM3T5 Easy, just try to not shoot in such high ISO. maximum ISO should be 1600, never go over that or else everything will look fuzzy, or grainy.
Getting a lens with lower aperture will help too. you hve the standard lens which is f3.5-5.6
The lens i used was f2.8
The most popular lens that beginner photographers or film makers use is the 50mm 1.8, which costs about $100, which is pretty cheap for what it does. youll fall in love with it's depth of field too!
HI, it looks soooo good, your films are really great. I'm also recording with t2i but i have a huge problems with quality after export from editing program (i'm using premiere pro, check my channel if you can)) Man I beg you, write to me something about your export settings, you will save my life. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! (I look forward to a response).
Reminds me of Into The Wild.. Really great work.. I'm just getting into Timelapse. How do you get a nice slide effect during one? Moving the slider over little by litter each photo? It's crazy that Dod3032, drumat5280 and jameswalt1 all commented here.. Looking forward to your other work.
Omg I just watched that movie for the first time yesterday!
Thank you very much!
And to get the slide effect, i simply do it in post. since pictures are generally 5,000x2,000 and the video is 1080, you can move the picture around without getting it out of frame. so I just keyframed to move the video. Plus, the crop marks definitely helped!
I know! It totally made my whole week. Those guys are the reason why I'm probably making films because they inspired me!
@petera95f Oh really? haha, I have the T2i as well and am getting the tokina 11-16 in about a week.. When I started about a year ago those guys were the ones who kept making amazing videos that inspired to. Do you go to film school or self taught?
Nah, I'm a freshman in college just graduated from highschool. I dont know what I want to be, it would be super neat if i went to film school and made a living doing something in the film industry, but I've been discouraged by so many other people telling me its a big waste of money.
@petera95f I just graduated as well and am looking to get into the film industry. I've been working on a few projects that I haven't finished to upload to youtube yet with me writing a script on the side. I'm eventually just going to move to California and see what happens. Schooling really doesn't matter, if you have an idea and talent then you can be successful.
Wow I just watched some of your videos! You are great!
What makes the quality so clear? I would say its mostly the lens and the settings. low iso for less noise, high shutter speed for less blur. and lens really help with quality as well!
As for camera, I'm really not sure, maybe if the camera has good ISO reduction.
beautiful work, inspiring. what functions of magic lantern did you find contribute to this video? oh and what sd card did you use?

Wow!~ What did you do to achieve the visual effect present starting at 0:12?
Karrosh 2 months ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@Karrosh There wasnt really any effects, it was shot on a slider moving to the left.
The only editing done to it was color correcting it on After Effects with Magic Bullet Mojo.
I also used a gradient tool to make the skies not look so overblown.

i just took the camera, put it against the windshield and recorded. i speed it up to 1000% because it was really shaky if it was at normal speed.
