I told her that I became aware that there are transgender women but not men at age 9 or so and that I met a trans guy at age 16. She was concerned that I was introduced to trans people too early and it could have affected my judgment. She also believes that most trans people decide to transition later in life and that I decided too early. She's trans so I was pretty surprised by the response. It was really helpful to meet other trans people at a young age, I was such a confused kid.
I cant believe the first therapist...she did sound like an interrogator, but I'm glad you found some good from that. Glad to hear that the therapist you saw could write you a letter, that must be a really good feeling. hang in there and stay positive bro
It was really surprising. She's trans so I totally expected a different response. I also thought that she may have been harder on me because she's trans but I couldn't rationalize it. It's cool though, i like the guy I'm seeing now. Gender Outlaws is starting back up on Wednesdays at 6 if you and Jess are interested.
