I love James Toney. He had some of the sharpest hands I've ever seen, but the problem for me is that he is 41 years old now. I guarentee that no one in the UFC has been hit like this guy is going to hit them, but he's old, not in great shape and has no MMA experience. I hope this works out well for him but to be honest I think that, depending on who he fights, they will take him down and frustrate him cause he won't really no what to do. He is tough as nails though and very entertaining.

I love James Toney. He had some of the sharpest hands I've ever seen, but the problem for me is that he is 41 years old now. I guarentee that no one in the UFC has been hit like this guy is going to hit them, but he's old, not in great shape and has no MMA experience. I hope this works out well for him but to be honest I think that, depending on who he fights, they will take him down and frustrate him cause he won't really no what to do. He is tough as nails though and very entertaining.

@SlimSkanzie he's a great boxer, in poor physical condition, no other skills than his boxing, to arrogant or dumb to learn MMA skills. randy is definitely the favorite in this fight but he is getting very old and his chin has been suspect as of late. as everyone has been saying if toney sneaks a punch in early he can ko randy but otherwise randy will destroy him. toney should focus on getting in shape and just go back to pro boxing.

Thing about Toney is he will bring alot of views..hes fearless and rude and will call out anyone..even if it means hes going to get his ass whipped.
Just hope Dana matches him up properly and dosent throw him in with someone whos got a solid ground game..he needs a tune up.

@Khaos969 Tune up? At 41 he has no chance of getting his ground game anywhere near Lesnars or even Couture. Dana needs to protect Toney and put him against guys like Kimbo or matbe even call Houston Alexander up. Against any ranked fighter hes going to lose.
Id really like to see an Olympic Gold Medal Boxing winner turn Pro in MMA. Only then would they have enough time to bring their ground game up to the level needed to be a Champion in MMA.

I don't think Toney should be doing this. He's not young and he hasn't fought in MMA. He is not a brawler like Myke Tyson (who could take anyone with his heavy punches). He's a skillfull boxer but that's not what it takes to fight there. They'll take him down and he'll be destroyed, unfortunately. MMA and boxing are very different. I don't know why people are so excited about it. Dana White can't get Fedor and now he is putting on these old guys' shows stating that Fedor is a fake.

i have seen A. Silva knockout someone holding his hands down on his side...he didnt kick,elbow etc. I have also seen guys connect knockout punches with their eyes closed or backing up. Point being Everyone knows they cannot trade with toney standing up...common sense would have him preparing for everything other then mma fighters boxing. Fact his punching accuracy is better than any1 in HVY WGHT MMA. LIGHTSOUT!
