I like the old-school chargers and the previous new model ones,aside from the 4 doors,but i don't like the latest models. It should've been a 2 door coupe like the original chargers were. Apparently,Dodge hasn't corrected that yet. They got the challenger right. And that's the one Dodge I would buy.

Have you seen an evo? The front end of the Charger is far larger and shaped differently and more aggressively. Yes, the open mouth grill looks similar, but to say it's even close to being exact is quite wrong.

Nice car. But they should offer it in a coupe OR sedan style. And honestly I know that they'd only sell the coupes and stop making the sedans, which begs to differ why they just don't name it something else. Noone ever said having both of the baddest names in history on the same showroom floor was a bad thing. A Charger SRT-8 and Challenger SRT-8 sittin' side by side sounds like a perfect sight.
my dad has the 09...and it kickass (unfortunately he got the sxt)..the only problem i had with it was that the back of the car didnt fit with the front...the tail lights were too "weak" for the cars fantastic front...when i saw the new one i was relieved to find they had fixed it...would love to own this

Lots of car's look similar. They scalloped the sides like an old Charger. And still I honestly don't get it. Today at work I was standing there looking right at an evo.... right at the front. The curves and design of it aren't too similar and unless someone has a vision impairment then you probably shouldn't get them confused,

There is no fuckin way in hell you would look in your rear view mirror and not know if it's an evo or a Charger srt8. If you can't tell the difference then I'd say you're pretty fuckin dumb. Cover my ass how? The sheer size of both cars gives it away. Just look at pictures and compare them online, you can easily tell the difference. The R/T looks nothing like an evo. The only thing is the open mouth grill which is for airflow. The Charger is alos more square and has a lot more of an aggressive look to it with . The only people that could confuse these probably confuse a lot of different cars.

@bstal247 no, it`s clearly the other way round pal, the styling clues and the front fascia design that you refer to with the current evo, which started with the evo x (10) based on the lancer actually debuted in 2007, whereas the dodge challenger (and its general new design language) got introduced in 2004 (LX sedan) as a 2005 model. the latest model of the challenger is still based on that same design, so if anything, the current lancer/evo took up design clues from dodge!
those who see mitsubishi clues in this charger should be reminded that this charger is an evolved model of the previous gen. charger, which in turn has been around longer than the current mitsubishi designs! also if you approach the new dodge with eyes open you won't confuse it with anything else anymore , much less a mitsubishi, not to mention if you get to turn the keys and drive one !
They need to redesign the bumper so that the front part that's all black flows together better. Right now it looks like a big mess that they tried to force into one cohesive shape just by painting it black.

@swalte6325 Ok, but that was Chryslers 2nd Government bailout. Not to mention they have sold portions of the company to Diamler and Fiat. IN 79, the bailout was 1.5 billion (4.5 billion with CPI calculated on todays market) of which only 311 million was paid back in dilluted stocks. Bottom line is, Chrysler has been in trouble for many years, and GM just got too big.

my dad has the 09...and it kickass (unfortunately he got the sxt)..the only problem i had with it was that the back of the car didnt fit with the front...the tail lights were too "weak" for the cars fantastic front...when i saw the new one i was relieved to find they had fixed it...would love to own this

Lots of car's look similar. They scalloped the sides like an old Charger. And still I honestly don't get it. Today at work I was standing there looking right at an evo.... right at the front. The curves and design of it aren't too similar and unless someone has a vision impairment then you probably shouldn't get them confused,

Cover my ass how? The sheer size of both cars gives it away. Just look at pictures and compare them online, you can easily tell the difference. The R/T looks nothing like an evo. The only thing is the open mouth grill which is for airflow. The Charger is alos more square and has a lot more of an aggressive look to it with . The only people that could confuse these probably confuse a lot of different cars.

@bstal247 no, it`s clearly the other way round pal, the styling clues and the front fascia design that you refer to with the current evo, which started with the evo x (10) based on the lancer actually debuted in 2007, whereas the dodge challenger (and its general new design language) got introduced in 2004 (LX sedan) as a 2005 model. the latest model of the challenger is still based on that same design, so if anything, the current lancer/evo took up design clues from dodge!

those who see mitsubishi clues in this charger should be reminded that this charger is an evolved model of the previous gen. charger, which in turn has been around longer than the current mitsubishi designs! also if you approach the new dodge with eyes open you won't confuse it with anything else anymore , much less a mitsubishi, not to mention if you get to turn the keys and drive one !
