yep after 10min you get board so then you rebuild the track some other way. Keep doing that until the darn plastic clips broke and your track got smaller and smaller till mom tossed it out in the trash... sigh...

@TimSDobson I was fortunate enough that I didn't break any clips:) I did build the track in other configurations though, and you can see the Mash-Up of all the builds on my channel. Just so you're not surprised - they didn't get any smaller!

We were poor. All my brother and I wanted was one of those race tracks in the Sear's catalog. We talked and dreamed about it for years. We never got one; so we saved and saved and bought one ourselves. We set it up and raced for about 15 minutes, sitting there watching in circles, then got bored. We tore up the track and made jumps and stuff, which was about another 10 minutes of action; made our puppy stand on the tracks, another 6 minutes. Slot racing: the most boring cool-looking thing ever!

I would say that is about a 6.300 second track, from a dead stop. I guarantee if you hooked up a Slot Dragon Racing System you would race for hours and never run the cars again without it again. Nice track. Great racing medium.

I used to have about 60 cars, hp-7's and 440x2's I wish I had them back!!! those were the cars that are now considered Nascar and indy car legends!!!

wow, that's a pretty long track....cool that the car isn't flying off like mine always did when i was a kid...of coarse i took off the plastic speed limiter so they would go faster.

@quincee33 There's a speed limiter?  I was going pretty fast that last lap and didn't think it would go much faster without flying off. I'll set this back up and see if I can set some speed records...:)

@AzKaraokeman i was talking about mine back in the day....i had a tyco with a plastic clip on the trigger...we would take off the clip but it was hard o negotiate the corners..sometimes the cars would spin out....lots of fun tho...one of my favourite Christmas presents when i was a kid....mine had headlights so it was cool turning off the lights!

Too many loopty-loops. I'd get rid of at least one of them and have a nice long straight so the cars can really stretch their legs.

@AzKaraokeman Would I give you a thumbs up? You bet I would!! Long straightways, S-curves, chicanes and elevation changes all make for a great layout. Take a look at the most popular F1 circuits and you'll find all of the above. Good luck!

I know that set. I have that set and it still works. I have over 100 slot cars in my collection. I have a four lane layout running and my friends even bring their cars over for some action

@Liquadia1 You need to change the speed of the car at the right time and make the car accelarate at the right time too so you go faster, because if you go to fast in a turn your ar while trail off.

@Liquadia1 If you every set up and run one of these you would realize the challenge it is to make the car go around that fast for a minute without flying off :) Of course another interesting thing would be to have an opponent to race against!
