  • Hollywood is the craziest town in America. Then, New Orleans, Vegas, San Fran.

  • @JayGatsbyOdysseus Sounds right to me... then maybe New York after that?

  • This video gives me (holly) Wood

  • @khunopie Dawn has that effect on a lot of guys... Bet hearing the dialogue would've stiffened the effect still more!

  • @videowilliams wood tends to rise at the crack of dawn......

  • @khunopie Boom-tish! Methinks you'd love the DawnAkemi channel. She's a master- excuse me, mistress- of double entendres.

  • Awww my illusions are shattered. It looks smoggy and grubby, looks like Fortitude Valley Brisbane.

  • @mycrazynan That's not a bad analogy (apart from the fact it doesn't flood). Still, it gives you respect for all those Hollywood promoters and filmmakers who've made the world believe it's glamour personified!

  • It was 10 years ago when I drive through sunset and all the pedatrians were walking as if it was a casting buro. LOL

Yeah, Dawn Drives Crazy Hollywood. LOL

Nice to see it again though.

  • They used to say if you stood long enough in Piccadilly Circus in London, you'd see everyone in the world, because everyone passed through it at least one time in their lives. Perhaps that's true of Hollywood Boulevard today.

  • HOLLYWo0o0o0o0o0od... :)

  • The mysterious h/Davonie appears again... fancy bumping into you in Hollywood!

  • Dawn Drives Hollywood??? Come on Dave you've left out the operative word: Crazy!!!

    Dawn Drives Hollywood CRAZY

  • I stand corrected. Thanks for watching!

  • YEPPER...That is what it looks like. One of the BEST BEST Things In SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IS the New Revised GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY. I think I could live there!

  • One writer called America "The Land Of The Great Brand New". It sounds as if that still holds true: no wonder I keep on coming back!

Thanks for the tip on Griffith Observatory, misssusser: Dawn and I did hike up to it, but lacked the time to go inside. Ah well, next visit...

  • Great video put in my places of interest list 5 stars easy watching and very interesting Marie

  • What an honour to be added to your "Places of interest" playlist! Yep, ol' Hollywood's not the world's most beautiful Boulevard, but makes up for it with history and human interest. How many dreams have been made- and broken- between those stars?

  • How sad.

I fear that Hollywood will be replaced by Vista Valley :))

  • Well, it certainly looked better in '07 than it had in '88 when I first saw it. It's been golden (in the 20s, 30s, 40s), it declined into a virtual red light district by the 80s, and these days I guess it's something in between.

  • Tks to you both for creating and sharing, love both your humours v easy to listen to. Wonderful to get to appreciate a tour of Hollywood without leaving the Rhondda Valley x

  • Aww, Dawn was the one with the humours... I just asked the questions! Thanks for riding along.

  • Growing up in Southern California I have been this route many times, but must say this video is the best view and company that I have had the pleasure of taking it with. Thanks for the tour...love Hollywood Blvd. The more it changes, the more it remains the same. It is a unique and multi faceted niche in the middle of urban spread, with a lot of great history. Thanks for letting all of us watching, squeeze into the back seat to see it with you two!

  • "The more it changes, the more it remains the same." How true that is. I'm glad you came along for the ride!

  • This was a cool vid I stumbled upon. Thank you for posting this.

  • Serendipity is a wonderful thing. I'm glad you liked it, Rhonda!

  • one day will go there. it´s nice to see hollywood this way and not only on cinema. great video. really nice

  • Sheesh! I'd lurveeeee to see Hollywood! Great video!

  • Mary, I'm sure Hollywood would lurrve to see you too!

  • I was in Hollywood a few weeks ago. I miss it :(

  • I'm sure it'll still be there when you get back!

  • I'm not sure when I'll be back there!

BTW, is that an Aussie accent?

  • Yes it is. We're all in Hollywood stealing your jobs... :-p

  • haha..by all means! I'm originally from India so I'm kinda job stealer myself! lol

  • Aaaahhhh, the memories! Beautifully done!!! Thank you for putting this together.

    ;-)

  • Thanks for creating beautiful memories in the first place!

    ;-)
