  • HP kit doesn't monitor airflow through the server, only internal temperature of the components and airflow inlet temperature. At startup from a power off condition it is normal for the fans to spool to maximum RPM unti it has completed the initialisation of the BIOS, they will then slow down to a speed appropriate for cooling.Although the case is open, you are unlikely to damage the server, unless you have seen it first hand you will have no idea just how much airflow there is in there...

  • noch nicht einmal status leuchten an den lüftern!!!

  • Love that sound <3

  • My ML370 G4 is also very noisy even with the lid is on. All the fans are there. There is no open/empty slot. The question is how much is noisy. It's a server, so it's noisy. But I thought if it's not under load, it should even know to scale down the fan, or even stop it if it's smart enough. I certainly don't want to be in the room too long (30 minutes for example) with this server. What do you think?

  • The fans kick into high gear when the skins are off because proper airflow is not possible. Guys, please RTFM and take better care of your equipment!

  • @dcs0582 if you check my other video you will see that the fans are not in high gear when idle...this is the FIRST START EVER and the motherboard runs some checks including the Fan speeds...this is not my equipment i made this for a university and i was sure to read the fucking manual :)

  • @dcs0582 That is an old server anyway, and most servers allow the chassis case opened to perform some hot service. Heck, now they even go a step further providing orange plastic tabs to pull hot-swappable things like fans that can be changed while the server is running. Anything that is blue plastic is a cold service only item.

  • This is quality,,,,,,yummi

  • What I meant was two fans directly in a row. I.E. - One fan behind another serving as a backup. There should be a total of six fans. Look closely & you'll count three fans side by side. That is not considered to be redundant.

  • Oh, this great. A bunch of Chinese fucking morons who somehow failed to read the instruction manual. I know HP publishes its instructions in several languages, including yours. And now for the more obvious conclusion...it's loud because in each one of those redundant fan enclosures, you only have one fan installed. So, install the backup fan in each slot, dress the fucker so that it's not "naked", & then see how noisy it is. Noisy is a bunch of nasal Asians talking on a bus. God, I can't it!

  • no it has 2 fans installed :)

  • @dukeofdream Burn hahahahahhahahaha
