No actually you're WRONG! The term "transgender" is an umbrella term that covers a LOT of categories that have to do with gender and sex. It can cover crossdressers, gay people, transsexuals, people who feel they are in the wrong body, gender-queer people, etc. The term "transsexual" is more specifically someone who FEELS they are one gender trapped in the body of the WRONG gender, e.g. a man trapped in a woman's body and usually a transsexual wants to transition, BUT not always.
So most all transsexuals can qualify as transgendered but NOT all transgendered people are transsexual. So transsexual or a transgendered person CAN be someone who's had a sex change surgery, or someone who's on hormones and has NOT had the full surgery or it can be someone who has NOT had surgery NOR even on hormones but who just FEELS like the opposite sex on the inside.

I watched this last night. Seemed his sister encouraged him (as a child) by dressing him like a girl and putting make up on his face. Even suggesting to his mother he put on a dress. And at the party (when he was a child) the girls brought him out dressed like a girl. The family (adults) just looked at him but no one said anything. Sad. What they did to Gwen was horrific but as a young MTF transsexual she thought of herself as a heterosexual girl. She was in a horrible place because she was very attracted to boys.
Been in that position myself and it hurts just to live daily. First rule is never get involved with men until after surgery but it is hard when you are beautiful and want that involvement. I know because I survived barely and unfortunately she ran into the idiots I avoided.

No actually you're WRONG! The term "transgender" is an umbrella term that covers a LOT of categories that have to do with gender and sex. It can cover crossdressers, gay people, transsexuals, people who feel they are in the wrong body, gender-queer people, etc. The term "transsexual" is more specifically someone who FEELS they are one gender trapped in the body of the WRONG gender, e.g. a man trapped in a woman's body and usually a transsexual wants to transition, BUT not always.

So most all transsexuals can qualify as transgendered but NOT all transgendered people are transsexual. So transsexual or a transgendered person CAN be someone who's had a sex change surgery, or someone who's on hormones and has NOT had the full surgery or it can be someone who has NOT had surgery NOR even on hormones but who just FEELS like the opposite sex on the inside.
