It's an anglerfish. Those things actually exist at the bottom of the ocean. (Although I'm pretty sure they don't roar)

Think I have still have this on the old CD bought back in 2001. The movie has so much mixed expression stuff in it from emotional parts to unrealistic ones especially with the conflux shooting the wrong types of weapons. Aaaah the good old days.
