If we read the stories where God had commanded the killing of peoples, it was because those people had been in existence for hundreds of years and their ways were wicked. God knew they would never repent and therefore to preserve others, He commanded they be removed. The ones who were killed were corrupt. The death penalty is used today. @MsYpsylon because right and wrong are consistent with there world view, as for atheism, it is not consistent. knowing what is right and wrong requires looking at the evidence, and christians do, the creation, the laws, the heavens, the bible, prophecy being fulfilled today. Lots of evidences that atheists clasp there hands over there ears and eyes when they hear about it, in some in vain insignificant effort to block out the reality of it.

Millions of people are starving, both for knowledge about the meaning of life, and for food in the natural. Millions of people do not have life in them really, if you would ask them, about there heart, they would say it is dead.
These things are not the will of God, but the products of the rebellion.

And God gave us responsibilities. Subdue the earth. multiply and fill the earth. Adam and Eve were in a Garden in Eden, I am sure they took care of things well for the Lord, and were gardeners.

you know that really says the heart of God.
Isaiah 53, in the original texts says it really good also. He bore our sickness and disease.....and by His stripes we are healed.

@Kwinnky both you know someone sinned and someone didn't get to live a long life. But knowing that god is just and the child had a short life, he will justly judge the killer and the child. But the only way to feel a lost because of the child is because of morals. Since a god is needed to have meaning and otherwise your just random "meaningless" without a purpose, you need god to have morals. you can't have morals and not believe in a god, thats a logical fact everyone knows/ignores ignorantly.

the objective standard is if there is no creator, your life has no meaning. there are no actual morals because if your life and my life diddnt matter than what will now stop me from killing you? what would stop any one from affecting others in a negative way if it doesnt even matter. nothing would stop me other than someone who is willing to kill me first. and next research the bible if your going to use that as an example.

@ozmoroid The answer is true. But accepting christ intellectualy or emotionaly alone will not make you go to heaven. As what most are saying. Salvation is thru faith, meaning to trust in Him no matter what by holding his testimony. Its not easy to become a christian, becase everyday we are in a battle zone. I can explain it further if you want me to. Repent on the other hand is changing in direction, admiting yourself you sin and not doing it any more. I can help you, let me share His word 4 u.
