All characters have a spawn point. In SA1 the game would spawn characters at a DUMMY object, such as the spring in Windy & Ripply

I think it depends on the Wii firmware. My Action Replay works on my 3.2U Wii, but not on my friend's 4.2U.

It's not a beta move. You just spin the control stick in a circle and the command appears, but yeah it is hard to use.

That's right. But collecting Mystic Melody in Final Rush makes Sonic's MM avaliable. When Knuckles examines the little shrine, the game checks if Knuckles has the MM, regardless of which stage we're playing.
